The reason Namjoon said he was sensitive when it comes to sleep is because he developed insomnia in the military because of how hard it was for him, he had a therapist and he’s getting better but that’s why he said he was a bit sensitive still, he wasn’t being rude or “a baby” or anything

it kinda varies what they call each other to answer your question! i think jin, jimin, and jungkook get called that since those are literally their stage names, but you'll hear them call j-hope by his stage name or 'hobi' as a nickname. Or there were many cases where if its a younger member addressing an older member, they'll say 'hyung' but the subtitle will just put their name since it's awkward subtitling to directly translate it to 'older brother' yk? But like I rarely hear them casually call taehyung 'V' unless they're joking around and stuff. So it really depends on situation but the captions aren't 1 to 1 sometimes!

V was selected in Special Duty Team unit which is the toughest unit in military. Only highly skilled people, both mentally and physically, are able to get selected! V is one of the best at these games usually 💜💜

Carter, Mckay!! the episode you watched today is a 3 parter, episode 2 will be released on 30th april, and episode 3 on 5th of May. RUN BTS is sort of a game show where the guys do fun things, there are alot of episodes they stopped due to their military service, hence the RUN BTS 2.0. Pre military run bts has 170 episodes and some of the episodes were shot in between their previous tours. Yesss, they are always grinding. I think you’ll love their travel shows {Bon Voyage (4 seasons) and In the Soop (2 seasons)} you’ll get to them in the meantime believe us there is so much BTS content out there and all of them are fun! 💜 (haven’t mention the solo content yet, but jin did his own ver of run bts, called run jin, he really held down the fort until the rest of the boys came back, V did a ver of “in the soop” with his actor friends, jimin&jk did a show called “are you sure” 2 seasons) excited for you to be on this journey! 💜✨

There is about 170 episodes of Run BTS dating back to 2015 I believe :D Their older ones from episode 1-20 are pretty short like 15 min long while they get progressively longer. they've done and played so many different things, like having cooking competitions, going to amusement parks, playing Mafia (where one is a spy), and even trying flying yoga (one of my favs). They're all really funny and entertaining episodes and a really great way to get to know their personalities and just how competitive they are :))

To give you some lore on this show, it’s very common for kpop idols to go on variety shows, however the industry didn’t allow bts to go and they were shunned and isolated from the industry. It was even a source of mockery from the others’ groups fans and the industry as a whole; especially to add that their company had no influence/connections like the big 3 to let them go on tv shows, so bts started their own shows which became sooo popular that now it’s so normal for kpop idols to do their own variety shows instead of going on pre-existing famous shows on tv, and to this VERY DAY bts still rarely go on tv variety shows (sometimes they do) but it’s hella rare, so yh this show changed so much about how the kpop industry and content works.

i recommend you guys look into weverse if you plan to watch past run bts episodes! most of them are fan uploaded on youtube but I find that the official translations on weverse are a bit more accurate- especially when it comes to some of the humor and korean jokes

So they have a couple of shows. Run BTS was a weekly series but in the last year they didn’t post any episodes now it’s coming back which is why it’s called Run BTS 2.0 There’s another show called Bon Voyage. It has 4 seasons and in each season they travel to a different place. Then there’s In the SOOP which is a HYBE (their company) reality show BTS has 2 seasons of it It was filmed during Covid so it’s more of a calm healing stay inside type of show unlike Bon Voyage. There’s also In the SOOP: Friendcation but it’s not with BTS as a full group it’s with V and his rapper/actor friends known as the Wooga Squad. There’s also Run Jin. It’s like Run BTS but only with Jin and most of the episodes have guests He started this show after the military for ARMY since there was no Run BTS for about 2 years. There are also other shows they participate in individually, like v appeared on Jinny’s Kitchen its on prime video and Jin appeard on Kian’s Bizarre B&B a netflix show They’re all really good I hope you watch them one day. ARE YOU SURE is a JK and JIMIN Traveling show its on disney These are the main shows BTS does Run BTS is the regular one but Bon Voyage and In the SOOP are not shows they release every year just from time to time. Anyway feel free to choose what you want to watch They have so much content that it would honestly take ages to watch everything and go through all their music I’d say start with the new 3 Run BTS episodes along with the music and I think you all are excited for the gaming episode with Faker yall probably will watch it after this Then we can recommend some iconic episodes like the BTS Flying Yoga or Olympic mini field day.

I’d like to mention a lot of things that bts normalized/made more normal in the industry- things like vlogging their daily lives and doing something called (log diaries in their early days) to get to know fans- this was also not a thing for kpop idols, bts also had a twitter account where they’d reply and talk to fans, again wasn’t a thing in kpop back in the day, in fact they ended up winning a billboard social award in 2017 (which was the first for a Korean act) and RIGHT after there were like 20+ Kpop acts that joined twitter in 2017 (you can see all their accounts were made all in the months of June 2017) also bts would make music about really dark topics and mental health WHICH WAS EXTREMELY TABOO IN KPOP but now that’s become Normal, it’s also uncommon for kpop groups to self produce and choreograph like it wasn’t really a huge deal for kpop idols to not be involved in song writing and producing but now almost ALL newer and younger kpop groups do it and hell even older kpop groups started getting involved in productions. Even simple things like tattoos- very taboo, sometimes kpop idols would have to cover up their tattoos, but Jk with his full on sleeve inflicted that to normalcy (obviously he ain’t the first to get tattoos) but he had a huge hand in normalizing it (tattoos were illegal in Korea) I think they just got legalized last year but correct me if I’m wrong. So yh just some fun facts about how these boys affected the industry, not to mention how they’ve influenced and changed the western industry but I’d be here all day, and still I’ve still barely scratched the surface with the stuff I’ve mentioned.

As someone who also deals with insomnia, I really understand why RM is so sensitive about his sleep. It must be especially tough considering he’s said it developed during his time in the military. He touched on it briefly in the documentary, but you can tell that experience was really difficult for him :( He mentioned how time felt like it completely slowed down and stopped.

Run BTS has a ton of episodes, but you can jump around and watch whatever catches your interest, the order doesn’t really matter. The only thing to keep in mind is that some episodes are split into parts, so certain games or challenges continue over 2–3 episodes. There are so many hilarious ones though, you’ll definitely get a bunch of great recommendations!

I don’t know if they’ll 100% commit to sleeping 4 in 1 room in the next episode HOWEVER they have done this before in a previous run bts episode from like 2018 or something, and yes, they stuck to the outcome which was similar to this except it was even worse because they had twin beds instead of these double beds LOL. The best part is that literally nobody is forcing them to do this, they could all just sleep in their own beds

They’ve done the room choosing game a few times on their shows. They stick to the rules and one thing you should know about Run BTS is that the rules get thrown out quick so no point reading them 🤣. Jin is the king of coming up with new rules in the middle of the game. They have a short EP where they discuss what they want to do this season of Run BTS and Jin also had a spin of all Run SeokJin I would recommend watching there episodes Hobi was on I think it’s ep 14 and 15. It was sooooo funny.

Guys it's okayyy to watch whatever Run episodes y'all choose, the thing about this show is that it doesn't have to be watched in order cz there are different games and topics, but ofc it depends on whether you guys prefer to watch in the right timeline, since they started filming this show from a younger age where their personality was different. We watched them grow up through these episodes and now ofc they're more mature, but the fun is still there, it can be chaotic most of the times, and a lot of eps require a lot of attention, so i advice you to pause to read in case you can't follow, you may need to rewind a bit too so that you don't miss a thing lol. Tbh there are many funny episodes, some of theses games sometimes take 2-3 eps too so just keep that in mind! I think you will definitely enjoy these specific episodes: - BTS mini field day parts - BTS league of legends vs FAKER (gaming since u love that) - BTS the game caterers eps are so fun - BTS spy/mafia games eps are the best for me (47-48 | 118-119 | 120-121 | 145-146-147) - BTS Zombie episode 24 All i can help u with for now, hope you enjoy all! Thanks for this reaction guys!Here's a few helpful tips(from personal experience) for watching Run episodes, sorry it’s long. Though I’m not sure how these will apply to Run BTS 2.0 lol! 1. Don't stress if you're not understanding something. There's a lot of games or words that won't make sense unless you understand Korean or do a little google research on the meaning. We just want you to enjoy yourself so don't worry too much if you don't get something right away. 2. The subtitles go by quickly sometimes so don't be afraid to pause or rewind if you wish to understand the rules better, but remember you don't have to understand the rules to enjoy the chaos that is Bangtan(I know of a few people that don't even try to read the rules and still enjoy themselves.) I personally like to understand the rules to the best of my ability. P.s. there are at least a few times where BTS will end up getting the staff to changes the rules anyway, lol!!! Also the captions inside the [*] are usually what the staff added, they are hilarious and savage at the same time or just simping hardcore lol! 3. In the older episodes the translations will sometimes have a few mistakes or not be as clear as they are in the newer ones. And sometimes there will be slight variations to the translations in a part 2-3 of a previous episode. 4. Most Run BTS episodes will have some kind of penalty for the Losing individual/team at the end of the episode or sometimes they will show the penalty in a following episode. 5. When it comes to prizes, especially food and money/giftcards(Or the chance to leave early lol), BTS are not family anymore! Lmao!! They will lie, cheat and steal from each other, all while acting oh so innocent! And boy, is it hilarious!!! 6. There are short behind the scenes of most episodes, but they’re paid content. There are websites where you can find them re-uploaded though. I really love the behind the scenes for the Karaoke Run episodes because the guys will sing other songs besides the ones they sing for the game. 7. BTS don't take these games to seriously, so we shouldn't either lol! For example Jin has said before that he'll goof around a lot because this is a variety show and it should be fun. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 8. This episode is similar to some of the Run BTS “season” finale episodes, they typically go on mini trips, play games and sometimes write poems/letters to each other. I can’t wait to find of what the rest of this Run will be like in the next parts. I’m so excited to see what Run BTS 2.0 has in store for us!💜🥰💜 I can't think of any other tips at the moment so I guess I'm done, lol!

Thank you for reacting. Just to give some context, "Run BTS" is like a variety show by BTS where they play games, learn about various subjects, and compete, usually for food, haha. This travel format has also been used in other episodes and has the vibe of another show of theirs, "Bon Voyage". Run BTS started because they needed to become more well-known, and since they didn't have many opportunities/weren't invited to appear on TV or other shows, they made their own. It's very fun, and there's a big difference from the first episodes. It's also great to see how they've changed over time. Even though they didn't have a big budget at the beginning, they were always entertaining.🫰🏻🇧🇷💜

also heads up, not all run bts episodes are this laid back and unstructured!!! some are very intricate and organized (they have a trilogy of mafia [the mafia vs citizens game] episodes with a running storyline, costumes, sets, background characters, etc.), others are physical (paintball, field day, water park) and others are game show style (they answer questions to win prizes, usually ramen or coupons lmao). but all of them are funny and enjoyable the same way. it makes you forget that they’re multi-millionaire global performers watching it

Also this RUN ep has the same vibe as their "in the soop" & "bon voyage" shows which i love! Sorry to add even MORE to this 😭😭 but bts were also the only one to at the time to incorporate a full story that spans across multiple albums and music videos (which is why their music videos have so much lore) and at first it was all put together and theorized by fans only and then after fucking YEARS they finally started adding a BU tag to mvs🤣 (bu means bts universe similar/inspired the mcu) they also added something called “notes” in their albums- which would be an official/cannon part of the story in a tiny pamphlet in their albums so over the years you collect them and they’d make up the story/ or a part of the story, then they’d eventually released the full book and even a KDRAMA about it, it’s also why I suggest watching their music videos in ORDER because it’s awesome when reactors get to see full blown the story line before having it explained to them. and they used books and art and references to literature and psychological theories into their music for example (without spoiling) the book named demian by Hermann hesse (he won the Pulitzer) is the inspiration to the album wings (they have references and even full on quotes in there) also map of the soul by Carl Jung and jungian psychology in general was used to form their albums map of the soul:persona and map of the soul 7 (two great albums) again another reason to go through that stuff in order, it’s why they released it intending for it to be consumed that way- similar to anime, you wouldn’t start Aot from season 3 (not that you couldn’t, you just miss out on experiencing it a certain way) again there is sooo much more. Also some of their songs and song lyrics are also part of the story line and add to it, and I can’t wait for you guys to react to it some day. BTS were also the very rare artist to have ALL MEMBERS be college graduates (quite literally almost the only ones to do so from their generation and separated them from the norm of kpop idols before them)

wow, when i started watching you guys because of aot, i never in my wildest dreams imagined you’d end up watching run bts… i’m so glad you had fun! run bts is basically their own variety show where they do all kinds of games and activities. it used to come out weekly, with some breaks when they were on tour or super busy. the crew usually has something planned, but the real entertainment comes from how they interact with each other. of course there’s an effort to be entertaining, but the boys naturally have a lot of fun together and really bounce off each other’s energy. you definitely have to watch the episode with faker and the rest of the t1 team next!

When you're first getting to know them, if you get sucked into one aspect (for me it was content first, then I discovered their music/ live performances/ dp's), it's like a culture shock to experience the other dynamic. There's a RunBTS episode with Faker!!! You have to watch it!! They game on that. And Run BTS is their own variety show. They play different games to win prizes or mostly to avoid penalty(for the losers). They have amazing penalties like hiking a mountain, wearing silly outfits etc. They started this in 2015 and there are almost 400?ish episodes. This is RUN BTS 2.0 (coz they stopped it when they were in military,this is comeback RUNBTS). They dont usually know whats happening, the directors(RUNBTS team) tells them in the startingof each epi that they rdoing this that. Team prepares a plan. Boys get to know it while filming so its ENTIRELY authentic and not scripted. My fav ones are water-park one, flying yoga, Field trip , zombie episode, the ARMY bomb time machine triology(bangtan village one). There are too many, EACH ONE IS FUNNY. Take in a few of the first run bts when they started then some later years. The staff sets up so much to get this staged to capture all of them at anytime, sleep included. The boys basically grew up with this so they are good at ignoring them. Often the staff gives them challenges with prizes as a goal, food is a big carrot the staff dangles as prizes. It is a true showing of their personalities and how they interact and deal with conflicts.

Commenting this again, but I’d love to see you guys do more album reactions! Not all of BTS’s albums are as long as ARIRANG, and I think it would help you get through their discography a lot faster. A fun way to do it could be listening to the songs in order, maybe with lyric videos, and then reacting to the MVs for the songs that have them, kind of like what you did with ARIRANG and SWIM. If you only react to MVs, you’re going to miss so many amazing b-sides that never got videos, especially some of their more chill or emotionally driven songs. I think it would be awesome to start with their oldest album, and work your way up in chronological order to see their growth and sound change. Not a lot of reactors do this, so it would be a unique method! Just a suggestion :)

Not the reality shows or mvs. It’s the most important thing about an artist and the thing that I love about bts most. I don't get it. People are impatient and want to speed run through to the payoff, knowing full well that they always post an official recording of the best version of the tour. The Geks are likely only going to react to the Arirang concert ONCE, so wouldn't it be better they get the best version, complete with correct and functional subtitles, and possibly behind scenes stuff? I don't think it's doing them service, guiding them to bootleg concert recordings, or even official venue recordings that may not capture the best version of their performances, and don't have accurate subtitles. It doesn't make sense to rush/push Arirang concert (they're only like 6 shows in, out of like 80!). And they already reacted to the album, to the Netflix Live Concert. They can afford to breathe on it while new content comes out (and we know it will), and while watching old stuff.

This is the first time they have gone on a trip for RUN BTS, but they have travel reality shows where they go on trips, 4 Seaons of Bon Voyage, 2 Seasons of In the Soop with all of them, and two seasons of Are You Sure? which is just JK and Jimin traveling. Usually on RUN BTS they play games, go places and do challenges. Pools, water parks, amusements parks, bungee jumping, paintball, scavenger hunts, capture the flag, zombie escape, and so on, and many episodes where they are just playing the unhinged games the staff makes up for them. They almost always cheat hilariously and are ruthlessly competitive, but never with any hard feelings. There are more than 160 episodes of RUN BTS. This is the start of the new RUN BTS with their Chapter 2 of their post military careers.
