Btw mckayy looking so good these days

Sarah

I’m crying I was!’t expecting rob to be the first one this week but I am so happy abt it😍

rara

I AM EARLYYYY (n e way pls do another bts album for your next week(s) if y’all still haven’t plan anything !)

Alisse Rhodes

omg this is a pleasant surprise hehe

SammiewiththebigT

I’m guessing the other videos will take longer, since you need to gather suggestions.

Jess Min

I’m so early YAYYY!

gm ‘777

yayyy 💜💜💜

Alisse Rhodes

Thanks for dropping this now, i was having a writers block and pulling my hair out, and guess what Carter I was staring blankly at my A03 page if that gives you any comfort lol

Anya

Yayy rise of bangtan first! Gives yall time to vet the bts funny videos!

Alisse Rhodes

Carter you actually have such cool tops i need your wardrobe

I’m Tired

guys I've actually rewatched the livestream video 5 times

Anya

"I'll prove it" and he did! Their success is the best response to the haters. Still recommend yall doing "respect your seniors, mock your juniors" by boracity or the "BTS hardships 2013-2021" by xCeleste!

izzy

I was about to ask who is rob lol

Ana

😒

Anya

After hearing songs and reflections about 2 Cool 4 Skool, O!RUL8,2?, and now Skool Luv Affair I really hope yall do another album review soon! Some chapters are related to their album progression as well.

Ana

XG are my goats only group I stan besides BTS those girls just have it

kim

Omg you guys should react to XG rock the boat

Jo

Dang I wanted the gg stuff today, but wtv I'll wait 😊

Tivy

We gotta start getting more BTS music from the older eras on the schedule! So then you can hear and see the MVs from this era without getting spoiled

Anya

V's "btch?" 😂 can't wait for yall to see more of how random he can be and says it all with a straight face lmao

Nat

Could you also add the bonus content for next time pleaseee

T

Yes they always have written their own lyrics RM said in that rap towards the end he never raps to lyrics that he did not write

Anya

Yayy yall finally included the deleted scenes! Pls do the other ones yall missed as well it can be in one video. Also don't forget bonus content!

T

And yes they are probably the most "free" idols you could say. I mean they literally were all gifted shares of hybe they are the ones making the decisions about their music at the end of the day and Ryan Tedder (a producer that worked on arirang and other projects) said that they call all of the shots.

Sweet piano:3

Ahhhh thank you UU can't wait for more BTS !! 💜💜💜🫶🏼

Ana

Yes carter you finally picked up on the irony of the people explaining what kpop is and BTS being the opposite. That’s what rise of bangtan is trying to convey. a juxtaposition between kpop and BTS

gm ‘777

this episode is supposed to show how it was different for them so while all these rules and stuff are being talked about it’s showing bts doing those things. bts have always participated with the writing of their songs

RS123

Carter on a roll with those T-shirts 🫡

Wojood ot ⁷

PLEASE Reaction to BTS ARIRANG concert in busan day 2

tangerine⁷

Fr I thought it was the funny videos coming up lol but I am happy either way

Ashlee

Love that you guys included the "deleted scenes" this time !! I personally prefer the "bonus scenes" because they're way funnier but the deleted scenes are great too since there's still a lot you guys dont know 🙌🏾💜 loved this reaction cant wait for more 🔥

Ana

No I agree lol

I’m Tired

i know everyone has been spamming deleted and bonus scenes, but out of the two the bonus scenes are preferred !! you don't have to do both if there'es not enough time, if you could do the TROB episode and the bonus scenes

kooskyu

YESSS, YOU WATCHED THE DELETED SCENES

Ninia

" I'll prove it " part always gets me. Thanks for reaction guys 💜💫

mina

they had consistent pops all the time, but yeah i think dynamite and butter really skyrocketed them, especially in usa. now arirang surpassed it all!!🤯

S Moonchild⁷

I think k-pop rules never fully applied to BTS, cause the company wasn't that powerful. And as time went on, they got bigger, company gave them more and more freedom. In 2018 they resigned contracts with new clauses, JK got tattoos after that. SM is the strictest with these rules.

kooskyu

RM changed his name i think around 2018 or 2019

S Moonchild⁷

1st big break - I need you era (2015) - first win on show 2nd big break - Blood Sweat & Tears and Album Wings (2016) - first big show wins, first non top 3 to win 3rd big break - DNA/Mic Drop and album Love Yourself Her (2017) - first US win in social media star after that every release were getting them new nominations, new performances and it all exploded with Dynamite in 2020. (pun intended) I would say next big thing was Grammy and then Arirang which broke all records and curses of k-pop industry

Tivy

“Boy In Luv” was the first song I heard that really got me into BTS, and “Skool Luv Affair” has to be one of my favourite albums of theirs! So many bangerssss

Swapna

For context- They went through the system and flipped the narrative about everything they were taught about idols, which includes how you look, how you behave, how you interact with the fans. Also, they exploded with I need You, in 2015 from HYYH (The most beautiful moment in life pt.1) gaining one fan a time. Dynamite was basically their first song to hit Billboard Hot100- No. 1. They were already big before that.

Nanami's Wife

2:50 Actually McKay it was both RM and Suga that produced that song. It’s the intro to their Skool Luv Affair album in 2014. They were cooking with that intro 🔥

Sasha (Yare Yare Daze)

"Bang Yongguk - Yamazaki" is needed some time in the future. He was one of the idols shown in this episode so just came to my mind.

Tivy

I know Carter, it’s cool seeing how much more gangster Jimin and the boys were back then lol. I think there’s also some context behind Jimin’s evolution specifically. Early BTS had a much tougher, more traditionally macho hip-hop concept, and it always seemed like Jimin put a lot of pressure on himself to embody that image. As BTS grew and their music became more varied, it seems like he gradually gave himself more freedom to stop fitting into one specific box. His voice and performance style became lighter, more expressive and more distinctly his own, to the point that his tone is now one of the most recognizable parts of BTS’s sound. I love seeing old-school Jimin, but I’m even prouder of the way he’s evolved into someone who can be powerful, graceful, and masculine all at once without any of it feeling contradictory. Obviously we can’t know exactly how he felt at every stage lol, but he has touched on this topic a few times :)

Nanami's Wife

ONE PIECE MENTION BY MY GOAT RM😁😁😁😁

Sasha (Yare Yare Daze)

Now why do we have a 20 minute outro😮‍💨 damn it maybe I should delete my comment🤨

Jenna Antonelli

I feel like different era armys will have different opinions on what their big break was. Because with every leap in progress they took, they also continued to hit resistance, challenges, drama, ops etc. So I couldnt even say genuinely, as a 2017 AMA army, what their big break was. Some might say Blood Sweat and Tears was a massive moment for them, gaining a lot of fans, awards and repsect in a short time..but I would also say AMAs in 2017..as their first major American mainstream TV debut. Probably safe to say Dynamite was what gained them their biggest general population boost..but with that came expecations of more all English music with foreign writing teams / outside influence on their sound..so yes it was massive..but it was overwhelming to them..so is it a big break? Not really, cause the expectations on them were ridiculously high and they have no one to guide them down this brand new path of success. You could say NOW is a big break..they are back from the military with an even larger fandom than when they went in and are touring with a show that suits their long term health, sightseeing, performing in places theyve never dreamed of.. I honestly think they had a thousand small victories but theyve never had a big break till maybe now..where I think they can enjoy it the most they ever have. But time will tell lol Ok if youve read this far <3

Nanami's Wife

Bro that 'beach' / 'b****' video was the first video I've seen of Jimin and Taehyung back then😭😭 Taehyung's confused face😭

Nanami's Wife

I vote this! Hopefully we get more older album reactions especially since they're short! Need them to hear how the boys were cooking since the start

Ana Paula

I love your reactions. A suggestion: the bonus scenes are more fun than the deleted scenes and provide a great counterpoint, since the episodes are often very emotional.💜

kri

I love how they address the stigma of asian beauty standards here. Paler skin is the ideal in asian countries, and it's such a taboo topic for some reason... I'd love it if yall educated yourselves on it, especially since we're diving into topics like the kpop industry. Discrimination against skin color in general is not surprising. It's been around for the longest time

Noha⁷

I can’t over the transition of suga performing the cypher to him making cute drawings 😭

Vivicienta

You guys should react to the all Cyphers.. it's worth it..

Claudia⁷

that was "deleted scenes" there is other videos called "bonus content" for each chapter as well

Nanami's Wife

When I tell you 'Blood Sweat & Tears' ended careers, they shook the industry

I’m Tired

The TROB creator makes two separate extra videos “deleted scenes” and “bonus content” for each episode, people have been asking for both but out of the two the “bonus content “ episodes are more preferred because they’re more lighthearted and funny, if you guy were to choose one to do with the episode, I think it would be preferred to do the bonus content, but yall can always run a poll to see which one the people wanna see more

Bri

Love watching these reactions! Would love to see you guys do 2 of these a week, but that’s just me being greedy 😂

Rana

PLEASE react to these two videos 😫😫

Rana

Yes!!

Rana

Please include the bonus video too 😭

Devyn ⁷ 🍉

they would travel and do photoshoots. so in their downtime they could relax a little bit in between shoots to give them somewhat of a break. but still it was that they still traveled to thailand for business not an actual vacation

MinWii

Yayyyyy! Deleted scenes… Pretty please add the Bonus scenes too, so many hidden gems hidden in those!😂

Nikita

I mean I feel like they still had rules at the beginning although not as strict. They all talk about the dieting, obv couldn't date publicly, had to ask for days off...etc. So it's not like they were THAT different from the system rules. They were just less insane but still following the main blueprint of idol life.

Nikita

Yayyy! Thank you for including the "Deleted Scenes" ! 🤗 I'm so glad you guys are enjoying TROB! Just for reference: Deleted content: clips that weren't included in the episode or clips expanding on scenes that were included in the episode. These are usually more informative and serious in tone. Bonus content: These are more funny clips of them around the era of the episode. They can be completely random. Just letting you know in case you guys don't have time to do both you can choose which one you prefer to see more. Extra context of the story in the episode or something funny after a more serious/sad episode. But of course both are great.

Nikita

Yeah McKay the intro of the episodes is done by the creator of the series too.

캐럿입니다 💎

I am sorry if it was rude to post this here Carter, but those who aren't on discord deserve to know. Okay so this was Carter's reply to my question, if and when they plan to deep dive into more groups, "I really don’t know how deep into other groups we are going to go. Maybe if a group really sticks out to us we will, but we are very much focused on BTS and occasionally doing other group content. Although I think we are pretty established with our bts stuff so I think other group content is going to be more common" It's is as most multi stans said early on, this is now officially a BTS channel, in my opinion.

Tiisetso Maduna

Hoping we can get some live and mv reactions from some of these eras so you discover new songs and don't get too many spoilers 🥺💜

Hyeunrby

Yeahhh👏🏼

LilyLiv

truly, their massive US debut was all the way back with DNA in 2017, three years before Dynamite came out ^^

LilyLiv

I'd also add a 4th big break with Fake Love and IDOL in 2018 because BTS' Love Yourself: Tear 2018 album was the first Korean album to hit #1 on the Billboard 200 and this was an unprecedented and historic achievement at the time and was covered extensively

Snooze

Thank you so much for the reaction. Since you haven't reacted to the funny video for bts, here's my suggestion - it's a compilation of some random moments from the arirang tour so it's all recent moments without too much editing. https://youtu.be/VKFMCVz5Q5E?si=Jy7r2raV3OTjh8I5 I also want to make another suggestion since I saw a few people being disappointed with all the bts content(even though I'm here just for bts) and your stream did really well on YouTube so why don't you guys do like 3 bts videos a week and then a live stream for like an hour where you react to other k-pop song(non-bts). That'll make things more definitive as to what we can expect from you guys. It's a little difficult to pay for a subscription where you don't even know exactly what content you're going to get. And that way you'll have more different k-pop group reactions to post on your YouTube and attract wider audience.

C⁷💜

I don’t really see why that would be a bad thing 😅 They don’t have to force themselves to deep dive into other groups just because people keep asking them to. If BTS is what they genuinely enjoy the most and want to focus on right now, then there’s nothing wrong with the channel becoming mostly BTS-focused. They’re still going to check out other groups when they want to.

LilyLiv

so well said, BTS are unique in how they kept surpassing their previous peak from the very start, and keep doing so to this day. So they didn't have a specific break or song that would credit their entire rise: their rise is more so a reflection of pure longevity and of BTS's identity as artists reaching more and more people one step at a time

C⁷💜

Thank you for the reaction ! Please include Bonus content too, it just random funny clips😄

C⁷💜

i'm with you on that one🙂

캐럿입니다 💎

I never said it was bad or good, I just wanted to let everyone know who wasn't on discord. I also don't want to force them to watch anything 😅??

Hyeunrby

Can’t wait for the next episode!!!

Honey⑦

I dont think they were necessarily company rules like other kpop groups/idols but somethings that are already there? to word it, they were not dancers so to improve they HAD to love weight, put on required muscles and also becoz they were from mall company with less opportunities, a bad "visual" representation? would have further hindered their opportunities(i dont believe in those tho but korean market and audiences put way too much emphasis on looks, even to this day so its is understandable why the company and themselves must have applied these riles),secound, they were quite open about dating life even from the start and the "no public dating" is always becoz idol dating can get toxic for the partners(which i agree to this day,no one should be forced to publicise their relations). RM,suga, jhope,V have all talked about their relations publically as we know. I dont think any other idol as allowed to say they had gfs before.Rm, and jhope were open about their previous relations. Other things,i agree. The company's financial conditions actually helped them be more free and experimenting. And bang sihyuk has always been artistic. So they were very much exempt from these rules(trust me rules were VERY strict for others,i think almost every SM artists has had surgery atp)

Honey⑦

BTS never had a specific "big break" except the "I need you" hyyh era. That was when they became mainsteam in korea(they were decently popular even before) but that is when the industry, esp BIG 3 started paying attention to this company called bighit. That is when they started winning major awards that the industry and public thought were for "Big3" artists and then Blood,Sweat and Tears broke all records and won them their first daesang-"grand prize" and it was the first for a group outside of the Big 3 companies,so you can imagine how impactfull they became. But still, there was no one point in their carrer that we can say-oh this was their break. They have always gained steady fans, one by one, every era.Like you found them from Arirang, but Arirang tho is their biggrst album till date ig?idk(also becoz they r now sooo big) but it isnt exactly their "break", nor was dynamite coz they were performing at the grammys even before dynamite. They had some of the most organic journey to stardom.

Sienna

I recommend if you want to watch more Cortis to watch their Conceptual Performance Films of their songs. You'll hear the song and see the choreo at once!

귤🍊

I agree, it's important for people that are not aware and are expecting regular group diversity in reactions to know it's not a priority, and thus choose if they want to remain subscribed or not

J_Y_O_T_I

Yes please 🙌🏻🙌🏻

J_Y_O_T_I

Please watch BTS ARIRANG Busan concert day 2

jm♡⁷

Plz add BTS funny V-live Moment For BTS funny Vedios

tanko97

watching this freshly from BTS concert in Munich and i’m sobbing

Starzlix

When you guys were talking about their"big break," it got me thinking. Depending on what you're looking for, I think it can be categorized. First music show win: Run / I need you (don't remember which one exactly, but it was 2015); Big Break nationally: Blood Sweat and Tears (first daesang win); Big Break internationally: DNA!! They got to perform at the AMA, I think, for the first time; Biggest Break overall: Dynamite for sure, it took over the world.

crushingit

Hello i have a fat crush on McKay he’s so damn fine but it’s ok cuz no one’s gonna see this 🗣️

Tali90

Please do the bonus and deleted scenes

pigeonpole

bts talks a bit about how much rest they have now compared to times before in their "BTS Dinner Party 2.0" video

Hyeunrby

He kinda looks like Robert pattinson ngl

020125

Honestly It’s kinda hard to pick which was their big break since with each release they just got bigger and bigger even now. But, most would say it was dynamite however I believe they could’ve had their big break years before since all it took was for them to release a full English single

EmlovesOP

Seeing them in this era ughh my boys ngl shit nobody works harder. Like shit these boys been grinding. I feel like it’s only now recently their schedules have been healthier. Armys would be fedddd with content but it’s just not sustainable.

Noori

I was super excited for this, and you guys did not disappoint!!! And I always look forward to your thoughts at the end

Noori

Cannon going "awwn" seeing little Jungkook missing home was so cute

crushingit

yk what youre so right its all making sense now

Sarah

Yes speak your truth girl👏

Sarah

I hope we get bts being a mess on vlive today cause that’s the only good funny one I remember at the moment

Chivi Moon 🌙

Looking back at your older BTS reactions is honestly so funny. 😂 I was rewatching the Netflix live concert reaction, and you all kept confusing the members, during one point, Jungkook was getting called RM, J-Hope, or even Jin at different points, and I was cracking up the whole time. It’s actually really cool to see how much you’ve learned about BTS since then. Watching those old reactions compared to now really shows how far you’ve come, and it’s been fun seeing that journey as a viewer.

nelle

They definitely had company rules, theyve mentioned them before. They just were not nearly as strict as these other companies specifically SM. How SM got away with their idol training system for 3 generations is insane. They didnt start getting heat for it until 4th gen

nelle

whos camping for next droppppp? hoping for funny bts video today but im hoping they're good videos and not cringe lol

nelle

theres some good arirang era funny moment videos on YT that they can watch, i hope they react to that

nelle

I mean this is basically what they said from the beginning, theyre focusing on BTS and eventually will get into exploring other groups

nelle

I feel like they had two. Their first break as artists was Blood Sweat & Tears, that era is what got them respect in Korea I feel. Their big break in the global music industry was Dynamite. Thats what put them in the global medias eye and got them their first Grammy nom.

chloe ⁷

i really hope theyre not cringy TT

RA

⛺️⛺️

Jaelee

99% of all BTS fan edited type videos are cringe. They're better off just watching BTS' s official variety content 😅

Aya

Please can we get the Arirang concert Busan day 2 next week PLEASE GEKS 😪😪😪

Loly

👀

soumaiyah joomun

I don’t think it’s ever happening 😭😭

Aya

I’m trying my best to be patient but they said like two or three times they will do it but they don’t know when but it’s been like three weeks since they last said it and like two days ago when they said it again 😭😭

RA

👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

kate

wait what when did they say they would react to it 😭

Aya

I forgot the vids sorry but they said they will react to it but they don’t know when

Ezel⁷ ⊙⊝⊜

Bts has been writing and producing since debut and they were given artistic freedom since then as well but there were more rules than now obviously. Compared to other kpop idols Bts was wayyyyyyy less controlled although there was somewhat control with bts as well!!!

noor

finally had time to watch this and I really love watching this with you guys im glad you’re enjoying it

faith

next week you guys could do merry go round and normal music videos if you havent to catch up! :)

kirix

About standards, plastic surgery and thing like that in kpop. That is actually serious. There’s a boy who I believe is not even debuted yet,but the company changed his face so much a lot of people didn’t even recognise him.He is mixed, half Japanese and half American,he had a very distinctive American features but they made him look so Korean it’s just sad.He is very young too
