In case SUCHWITA wins, here is a little guide on how you can approach it. There are 3 main groups: - SUCHWITA with members - SUCHWITA with other, current or former, K-POP artists (juniors and seniors alike) - SUCHWITA with celebrities not in the music, or K-POP, industry Suchwita was mainly created by Yoongi to help the members with promoting their solo projects as they began their military service, but it then evolved into something bigger. The very first episode was with Joonie (RM) and it is the only episode that has a different structure from the rest.

I understand that you guys like BTS a lot but I feel like you should at least keep one of the days out of the week for no BTS and some other group instead. I'm saying this because anytime you put a poll and it's all BTS related then they will ALWAYS win. This is coming from someone who first was a BTS fan back in 2015 and still is, however I say this because you have so many other talented kpop groups and independent Korean artists to look forward too but you won't really get to see if you focus on one group. I get how it can be frustrating, however they have had a few polls where another option wins over a full BTS content week. I know it can feel unfair but if the poll wins by a landslide then that just means that there are a lot of people that pay for BTS content. You guys should at some point definitely check out the SUCHWITA with TXT eventually as it’s very on theme with the video of respect you just watched - in it they discuss some of the company dynamics, their relationship as txt being juniors to BTS and how they’ve formed a brotherly bond, you actually saw a clip of it in that video. I just think you would have a fun time watching it as whilst it provides some great and informational insight into bts’s relationships with people outside of the band, it is also very funny

Personally, I’m OK with that. I can’t stand that video. It’s even worse than the junior seniors ones in my opinion. But I understand that I’m in the minority and a lot of people like it. I feel like it’s just a lot of outdated, overhyped situations that make other idols look worse than their intentions, it includes a lot of stuff that the vid they just watched has, and IMO trivializes the actual hardships BTS went through. For goodness sakes, they include a clip about random fans calling customer service for an award show. I’ve watched it and it’s cringe. It accuses other idols of being rude, just from making a comment. Like implying that G dragon was rude when he asked what was printed on their shirts. Some army, just love to prop BTS up as these pitiful, rejected, lepers of the idol world. But they did have support and friends in the industry. They were popular with other idols. And even won popularity awards voted by other idols. Were cheered by idols in their stages.I just don’t like the focus on the minor negatives from individuals.

since there is an episode for each member and this won’t be a weekly thing, I’d say watching the IU episode is a good option! 💜 I saw McKay saying how he’d like watching it so I recommend doing so, it’s very fun seeing IU and yoongis interactions since they are the same age and seem comfortable around each other

I can understand your point of view however, the geks already do a great job letting the patreons pick what they watch weekly. At the end of the day although yes, this isn’t only a BTS reaction channel it is not a group project we pay and vote for what we’d like them to watch. also this is so random but some bts reactors watch a member related video for them on their birthday it could be a solo song, album reaction, concert reaction (yoongi, hobi, and Jin are the only ones to have full concerts) or even just a fun video like a behind the scenes or random video such as a compilation video recommended to you all. It doesn’t make other idols look bad XCELESTE blurs out the names. also its not at all about giving pity to bts. to understand any type of artist you have to understand more of their story and hardships. she gives brief examples of some things they went through and it isn’t even that outdated it gives information from 2013-2021. It was never about pitying bts but to understand them better you have to know a bit of their hardships since it makes their impact and achievements even more unbelievable and unique, no hate 💜

@020125 G Dragon (who I'm not even a fan of) still got a lot of hate from some ARMY bc of it. I think the guides they've watched, and the ROB does a good enough job weaving in and building the picture of their struggles along with their successes, without positioning them as bullied weaklings. And yes, compiling all of the negatives in ONE video like the xCeleste and Boracity vid (particularly with some of the minor issues), is the definition of a pity party. It's heavy-handed and cringey. And BTS are not the only ones to experience some of those things, which these videos are incredibly biased and indirectly (and incorrectly) build that narrative. Hyperbolic victimization actually has an opposite intended effect. There are plenty of videos that SHOW their struggles, without someone spending 30 minutes just listing back-to-back examples trying to convince people how hard they had it. The fact that they had to work so hard, physically and mentally, and the industry pressures and blockades (both in their own industry, and by foreign industries), are the greater ops than someone saying something mean on a show from a decade ago, or kpop fans being mean on Twitter, or someone calling a customer service number to complain about getting an award. If the videos avoided more personal one-off, and fan input, it would be fine. But some of it seems so juvenile that I think it paints BTS and ARMY in a bad light for new reactors who might be left wondering even more what the big deal is. It makes the fans seem hyper -sensitive, when ARMY already has that label, and I fear it also inadvertently turns BTS into piteous characters also, when I don't think they themselves feel that way or want to be viewed that way.

? Their last 3 videos were concert vids. And I mean, ROB is a series so of course they're going to keep reacting to that. Are you also referring to Suchwita? I agree though that other than ROB and the intro guides, I'm not really a fan of "fan-made" documentaries about them. They already have so much official content in their own words, which don't need to be filtered through a few propped up fans' personal opinions and biases.

@020125 my main issue with it, is it's hardships from a fan's perspective, so I think it includes a lot of things that affected fans more than it did BTS. Or things that the fans cared about more than the group. That's why those type of videos feels like an ARMY pity-party to me. Things that may have been a throw-away issue, fans prop up as some defining moment in the members' careers. There is SO MUCH interpolation that it feels like misrepresentation at times.

Honestly, I think they can't fake what they don't vibe with. And it's clear BTS has them in a chokehold and they have genuine interest and growing affection for them and their art. And while they may enjoy some of the groups they've watched, and were complimentary to them, I just didn't get the same sense of interest or excitement to seek more. Of course I could be mis reading but it's just my instinct. Same with Cortis. I saw an instant connection to the group/music that I really didn't see with the other groups (maybe they're BigHit bias). I'd love for them to see a large range of different groups, just so they know what's out there. But I wouldn't want them to feel forced to react to content from groups they don't naturally feel a connection with.

Yeah, that video’s weird. She says that the point is to show that BTS had to struggle to get where they are and I do think that’s admirable. Idol life is hard, often when it doesn’t need to be, and a lot of the stuff BTS dealt with are still happening within the industry. But I don’t think the video does a good job of doing what it says. She has 20+ minutes of fandom wars but chooses to make no mention of serious injuries like Suga’s shoulder (which was so significant to him he’s made mention of it in multiple songs), the extreme dieting culture they’ve struggled with, or ANYTHING criticizing Hybe or Big Hit even though they’ve definitely done things wrong to the boys. Makes me feel like the video should’ve been called something else

Ideally yes but the geks don't do things in order and can be random sometimes so who knows what they'll do lol if they're going to choose mvs like they've done before then I want blood sweat and tears. Also I commented about rob having spoilers when they first started but ig they don't mind. If it was up to me I'd pause rob and resume only after we discover more of their earlier work. All we can do is let them know and recommend but they have their own way of doing things.

as someone who is a multi stan, the way I see it is there's never gonna be a diversity in viewership if they don't continue to provide additional content, so naturally the recommendations will all skew BTS. i think it would be a huge disappointment for someone to join the patreon for say, the Seventeen killing voice video only to find that's the only SVT related content on here aside from one extra reaction. Same with Ateez, and even then they got lumped in with BTS.

You can see what reactors have reacted to before joining a Patreon. Personally I make sure there's at least one subscription's worth of value in content before I pay for a Patreon. At least that way even if they don't post any more vids I like, I at least got my money's worth for the vids they did post. Then I unsubscribe bf the next month if it doesn't seem they'll be regularly uploading content that's not to my interest.

You're so right, nailed it on the head. Only reason their viewership is strictly bts fans is because they feed into it themselves. Consistently having more variety with the groups they react to will help grow diversity within the viewership. Can't expect for fans from other groups to show out immediately when you have one or two videos on the group, need to follow it up with more. Absolutely no hate to the channel tho

Sadly, that seems to be the case. Wish we could have more diversity. When they are always prioritizing one group and catering to only one fandom, it makes fans of other groups feel alienated and left out... It feels like we don't have a fighting chance especially when the groups are lumped in with BTS. It doesn't feel fair because obviously the BTS options on the poll will almost always win 😭
