I’M SO HAPPY THEY JUST REACTED TO MAMAMOO. I’ve been begging for Mamamoo for so many streams for so long. I paid this Patreon membership for BTS but I was begging for IU and Mamamoo since the beginning. I’m glad you guys liked it. Unfortunately Mamamoo has died down in popularity the past few years. Newgen fans don’t appreciate them it angers me when they get annoyed cause Mamamoo gets chosen like damn I just want OG groups😭They debuted in 2014, but are the vocal queens of the industry. They have different genres as well. Although they may not be as popular they have proven to be self made, like bts. And for some members they got a lot of hate for not fitting beauty standards but proved the industry wrong. I just really respect groups and artists who have a voice in their music and aren’t just industry machines like a lot of groups are unfortunately.

I mean I understand the strategy of picking groups via who shows up to polls to vote - but it really does suck because some people would love to be there or see the replay but have jobs, school, etc. Would you consider posting some group polls in advance (then we vote live for the song?) and then mix in some on-demand live polls (in the current format - whoever shows up decides the groups who make the polls) I just think it may be a more accurate representation of your following to have maybe even just one or 2 polls done in advance with a longer voting period for those who cannot make the live

that's not the people im talking about, its the ones spamming certain groups when those groups aren't even in the running for a poll/the guys trying to get song requests for a specific group. and the last part was addressing those in the chat constantly complaining about bts being included in today's stream; THAT is entitled. gek own the channel, they told us in advance that bts would be included, they probably WANT to do some kind of bts video in the stream, so why constantly push back?? its annoying, none of us owns the channel, you can request, but why are we spamming comments about things that wont change. the majority of the people who pay for the patreon to keep running are armys, again, it would make no sense to isolate the main consumer

I wanna say something although it’ll make Blackpink fans mad…Blackpink does have way more streams on their top songs than bts does. I’m not undermining their success but however reason is that Blackpink has had a 10 year career and they have like 30 songs? As a group? Bts has like over 200 maybe more. BTS made more songs during their hiatus than blackpink did in their entire career as a group😭I think that says enough. Fans stream the only songs they have so the streams for those songs rack up like crazy. They legit don’t have anything else to listen to.

I love House of Cards, but I still would have preferred that they made a song instead especially for this kind of live stream, an OT7 song rather than OT4. I know the vocalists’ or rappers’ songs are really good, but during this kind of stream, it’s better, and that’s just my personal opinion, to focus on OT7 songs for BTS. And I also want to add that when they react to a song, I prefer them to react to the studio version first, with the lyrics, and only later to a live performance. That way, you can hear the music better, the bass better, everything more clearly. Plus, you can see all the lyrics and understand the meaning. For a first listen, I think it’s better that way. Like when an album or a single is released, you usually hear the studio version first, check the lyrics, and then watch the live performance afterward. 💜

and paul, bts werent even the first kpop reaction that gek did. they did a bunch of kpop before focusing only on bts, and that was a natural trajectory, because arirang had so much hype in real life AND on their channel. how is it unfair that the group with the most demand, that brings in the most consumers, get more content? its not like gek are forcing themselves to do bts, they've chosen to and have already explained multiple times that they'd prefer to do deep dives of groups, and bts were the first ones to inspire that decision, like ofc they're gonna prioritise what they BUILT the channel on, and not neglect like.. majority of their fan base. that would be even more unfair for the bts fans who are invested enough to pay monthly for a patreon BECAUSE of the rapport gek has built. and again, gek already explained that bts would be included in the stream DAYS ago, they clearly WANNA do bts, not jst to please the fans, but because they LIKE doing it??? like why is that so hard to fathom, its their channel

I agree. I was a BIG Blackpink fan. They got me into kpop honestly. I still want the geks to react to them bc their old stuff is good. But, yeah my main complaint abt them is that they don't put out enough songs. So we are really just streaming the same songs over and over again😭 As of today they don't even feel like a group anymore. All of them are doing solos and it's to the point where there are people who recognizes them from their solos rather than Blackpink. I knew someone that heard their solos before BOOMBAYAH and asked me what was that. I almost crashed out😭 That's why I consider a girl group like TWICE way better than Blackpink because they actually put out A LOT on their discography throughout the years

I am happy and relieved I am only an ARMY just by this very reason. I don't listen to or react to Kpop groups because the fandoms are toxic and most of them hate BTS which based off the comments I was right. Sometimes I feel strongly about things but I find it healthy to be able to listen and engage in a healthy way so things don't go over your head. Sorry that some answers felt condescending. However I will say you can't take away any word from those statements leave them as is and read them again. "BTS don't deserve to be the biggest it's unfair" - the sentence is straight forward the person is saying they don't deserve the recognition they have and it's unfair. Right ? Second statement "BTS being the biggest is so unfair" - pretty straightforward too this person is also saying BTS being the biggest is unfair which is the same as the previous statement. Ultimately both share two of the same sentiments that cannot be changed because of the words used in both. First is 'biggest' both use this term referring to BTS. Second is 'unfair' both use this term referring to the feeling they have towards the result of BTS being the biggest. You can't possibly keep saying they mean two different things no matter how you change the wording. Take it for what it is. Sometimes it's okay to take things as is. We may not like or agree but take it as is and let it be.

I feel like a lot of armies I have seen in this comment section forget or don't know the concept of being a multistan. I can like BTS and also like other groups. Asking for more content or at least a little bit of content for other groups is a reasonable request. So even if their content has mostly been BTS only, that doesn't mean they can't explore beyond that. And I have also seen many responses to comments saying basically what I am saying here, that obviously all their content is bts, since most subscribers are armies. Well, of course most of their subscribers would be armies if 95% of their content is just BTS, aside from a few videos here and there.. I am sure if they started including other groups, even if BTS remained as the main focus, other fandoms would also start subscribing more. I am aware of the toxicity in the k-pop community, especially between fandoms, and honestly there will always be toxic fans on every single fandom. And since I am commenting under this specific comment, I would like to add that the original comment wasn't toxic or even rude in any way. They were respectful in pointing out the fact that even with the content on this channel being mostly BTS, that armies are still not satisfied, if their group isn't also included in a stream they do once a month, the one moment the guys explore other groups on an already divided ammount of time. Since they are called gek-pop and haven't made any sort of announcement that they would react exclusively to BTS, it makes sense for people to be curious on whether that will happen, and when, since it does seem like it is becoming an exclusive BTS channel. And listen, I would have nothing against that, it is their channel, their decision, but if so, then I feel like it would be fair to make us aware of that. Even if a big part of the people watching isn't interest in other groups, others are, and have been waiting for quite a while, some have even given up on expecting anything different to come out of their channel. Even after doing so many performative things, like feeling pressured to act excited or give a certain reaction because of scary fans, there are still some reactions that genuinely feel real. And obviously, that’s going to feel different to every individual. So just let them be. If they genuinely feel like exploring K-pop fully, watching different groups, or following the guides people recommend, they will do it themselves. Don’t get so affected by what they react to and what they don’t. Just enjoy the content, dude. And if you feel like they aren’t reacting to what you want, then scroll. There are plenty of other channels that react to K-pop, maybe even ones you find more genuine. Recommend them, vote for your favourite reaction, do whatever you can to support them. But why are you getting THIS angry over something that isn’t even that big of an issue in your life? And why drag BTS and ARMY into it? Why tell ARMYs not to vote on BTS videos? Why wouldn’t we vote? You’re supporting your favourite, and then asking ARMYs not to support theirs—that’s selfish too. We ARMYs aren’t going to get in your way if they react to other K-pop artists. But we’re also not going to stop supporting BTS or voting for BTS videos. At least that much is our right. We’re simply supporting our favourite’s music, just like you’re supporting yours.

Huh, im confused about this comment cos I dont know if youre replying to me or not, Cos im quite fine with the Geks, I have no issue with them at all and none of my statement made mention of them at all only your comment about them. Im still lost on what in my comment shows im angry about anything. I was pointing out the hypocrisy and the ego complex in your comment. Didn't make any mentions about armies voting or not voting.
