Since I know this comment section is probably about to get wild, and I know I am (and the Geks probably are) sick of the negativity, here’s something entirely fun and positive we can all do together as a community! Everyone list all your biases (if you only stan one group you can do bias and bias wreckers) and something that they weirdly have in common. I think it’d be fun to see what mixes people have! And don’t give me, “they’re all nice,” or, “they’re all main rappers,” or anything that would’ve made you like them in the first place. Crazy coincidences only. As an example, I’ll go first: Felix (Stray Kids) Suga (BTS) Karina (aespa) Jongseob (I think. I only just started getting into P1Harmony. I haven’t even watched a guide yet) All of them imo look better with long hair, which is weird because 3 of them are guys and I prefer short hair on guys 90% of the time. Also, I biased Suga before ever even seeing him with long hair so I don’t even know how this happened

One of my favorite parts was seeing ya'll blown away by Heeseung's vocals. His high notes are insane. There's so much emotion in his voice. It does feel bittersweet, though since he left. But I wish him the best in his solo career. I feel like you will love all their music. Their vocals do hit differently. They have such good songs. Their discography has no skips literally lol.

Yea I get it, but just as an observation... They don't really seem focused on the story/BU so I don't think the order of things story wise or music wise truly matters to them right now. Maybe when they truly have the connection they will seek out the order. They did mention this coinciding with what they are up to with Rise of Bangtan so they are paying attention.....they paid attention enough to cut off Butterfly playing at the end so they can give it it's full attention, so that's good. People will always request things out of order lol it will have to be on them to make the decision to do things chronologically

One thing I’ve noticed about these guys is that if there is any criticism whatsoever, even if it’s valid/constructive criticism, they do not take it well. Accountability is never taken. They will either deflect/play it off as a joke or they become very passive aggressive with their patreons and act like we are one’s that took it wrong or are overreacting. It just gets old. I think you guys are projecting a bit here. Carter is not a music expert, and he’s probably not the biggest hip hop fan either. In fact I think his favorite type of music is soundtracks from his favorite media lol (I could be wrong tho). So yeah it was pretty oblivious of him to say that, but idk I feel like you guys are unconsciously comparing that comment to the huge racist discourse that some kpop fans have on twitter sometimes😭, which he obviously has no idea about. But it's one of their biggest hits that put them on a lot of people's radar. I just got into BTS (never heard kpop before), during the pandemic, and HIP was right there also and introduced me to Mamamoo. They were still able to pick up on how unique (their maturity is what makes them unique IMO) they are compared to other girl groups. But yes, if they are impressed with HIP it definitely makes me even more eager to have them hear their other songs, especially Killing Voice!.

It's crazy after getting in to Mamamoo I devoured Hwasa's solo stuff (so much of it made me cry. She's such an emotive singer). But I found out shortly after discovering Mamamoo/Hwasa, that she was criticized for her looks/body. Meanwhile she drew me the most bc I thought she was genuinely one of the most beautiful kpop idols I had ever seen. And her aura just adds so much more.

Some of the comments are being a lil harsh, and I get why and don't disagree....but it definitely depends on WHICH ERA of hip hop you're comparing kpop beats to. As a hip hop head, a lot of why I was drawn to certain kpop groups/songs, is that they were emulating/ giving homage/ thrifting...whatever you wanna call it lol...from throw back hip hop in a way that a lot of younger/ modern hip hop artists have just completely thrown away or don't really acknowledge anymore. So there's a certain sound that older hip hop heads gravitate to and still appreciate that we don't really find around as much these days.

Misinterpreting what someone said, creating a whole imaginary story around it and then forcing them to say sorry is so fuckin weird. Literally all of these comments regarding what Carter said sound like you guys watched a whole other video. If you think he's missing key information about kpop and how a lot of their producers are western, maybe mention that instead of making weird passive aggressive comments. They're new to kpop and barely know anything about it. Comments like these are what make ppl not want to learn more and just turn them off the topic altogether. It was pretty clear to me that he meant the current popular western beats arent as good as the current popular kpop ones. Why does it matter who made them? It could all be produced by the same person. If someone says the pop of early 2000s is better than today's, no one immediately goes to race. That's weird to jump to that topic in the first place.
