From what ive seen as a casual Mamamoo fan, Hwasa spent the last few years doing a lot of solo projects, doing concerts and touring etc. So I would say she has a mature coolness as she's aged. Either way, she is the same baddy of the group. She seriously commands a stage and has this sultry vibe. I adore her <3

actually mamamoo are not your typical kpop group. they debuted as a purely vocal group so the rappers are also very much good vocalists. they weren't supposed to dance, but the members were so talented they ended up incorporating dancing so i guess you wouldn't be wrong to call them a kpop group, but there is a difference. what i love about them is that they don't conform to kpop trends and stay true to themselves and music they want to make.

I assure you, Hwasa was just being tame for the second video, she is still just as sassy and playful now as back then. Moonbyul has been able to sing from the beginning, company wanted rapper and she apparently had less skill than the others so they places her as the rapper. They all have really amazing vocals though as you now know. I hope you guys get to listen to more of their music 💜

Mamamoo debut June 18, 2014 under RBW (a small company) with the song Mr. Ambiguous! Fandom name is MooMoos. And their lightstick (the moobong) is in the shape of a radish (moo means radish in korean) Left to right, their ages, and their positions: Moonbyul - (born 1992)- Rapper, Performer (basically the dancer position) Solar - (1991) - Leader, Vocalist, Oldest Wheein - (1995) - Vocalist, Performer Hwasa - (1995) - Vocalist, Rapper, Youngest they’re known for having extremely powerful vocals (clearly) and having eccentric personalities. All the girls now have successful solo careers. Hwasa being the biggest out of the group (she is considered to have more a powerful and sexier concept to her solo career which kinda stemmed from her being “bigger” (literally not even big in the slightest) in the kpop industry and embracing body positivity.) Moonbyul (at least in my opinion) is one of the best female rappers in kpop even to today. But still has a very strong voice and does sing occasionally. Ladies looove her 👀. Wheein is considered the backbone of vocals for mamamoo and is known for having various strong vocal techniques And Solar. the belter (clearly) But also having a very bold personality- shaving her head for her solo debut, or ripping shirts during concerts.

All the Mamamoo members have definitely matured over the years, but they can still be just as playful and energetic on stage. They’re currently on tour, and their performances are still just as powerful and fun as ever! They’ve also all had solo projects, and their solo songs are sooo good. Also Hwasa had her Good Goodbye comeback not long before the second killing voice. The song is very gentle and melancholic, and she also cut her hair around that time, so I feel like that gave her a softer look. But she can switch right back to her baddie self in a second on stage lol. I think it all depends on her mood and the kind of vibe she wants to show the audience

Part one introduces solar and moon byul and part two introduces wheein and Hwasa. There is this show called Kingdom Legendary War where members of BtoB, Stray Kids, and Ateez performed together and they dominated the stage. They covered IU's song also! and it was beautiful!.... i was thinking of doing release order but depending on how season 11 ends, that might change. the ones who live, GOT IT!! i won’t look it up until i’m done xo. thanks girlie!!! also, i’ve been avoiding starting my twd gek reaction catchup because…geks don’t read this PLEASE but either way i’ll keep it SO VAGUE…i miss a certain character(s) and watching them in earlier seasons is physically painful for me. but i’ll get round to it before they finish season 4 (been keeping track).

It's true everyone calls their faves the "kings or queens" of something. But Mamamoo is actually the queens. They've all been told they're too good of singers to be in girl groups. haha. Solar performs in musicals on stage, the other three have put out a ton of solo music (Wheein--the middle of the three vocalists with the bangs--is my bias.) They stand on their vocals and their realness. You're right that they're older. They're all in their thirties. They debuted later than most idols because they were all non-traditional looks and sound-wise so they had rough roads. And then they were super underdogs at this tiny company. They made their fame off of vocal competition shows and the quality of their vocals and live performance. And every time they showed up on a variety show, Korea fell in love with their relatability. We take it for granted now because so many groups debut with a "we're all crackheads" concept but back in 2013-14 it was BTS and Mamamoo who first let the idol images go and embraced all the quirks and chaos of their personalities. For Mamamoo as a girl group it was particularly revolutionary to see them swear and drink and talk openly about things dubbed taboo by the industry. I'm not even a MooMoo (their fanbase) but I have a TREMENDOUS amount of respect for them and their craft. OH! I forgot to mention (like BTS), these guys had a ton of control over their career from the start. Moonbyul (the rapper) is the most credited female idol and always writes her own stuff. Even when they do covers, she re-writes her verses. Anyway, I'm always here for Mamamoo reactions. They're the real deal.
