It's time to pick another song to record!!!

What are we in the mood for?

I feel I can't break out of a cycle of the same pending songs i've always wanted to record... Can you help me broaden the horizon?

Songs from games, movies, tv, pop, rock or whatever songs you feel suit my voice?

Comment here and I will listen and make an actual poll so we can vote!

Heeeeelp.

Hugs, Malu

Since you love The Cranberries, and a fast paced song will add variety to your repertoire, I suggest Promises.

Andrés González

Or if you want to stick to your style, a hundred Malukas singing Boadicea by Enya will be awesome.

BlackTecc

Ok, here's something different: Sankarin Tango from the game Control.

Rastko Zamurovic

I would love to hear how you would adapt Sins of The Father (Metal Gear Solid V) 😍

Andreas Wölffel

There are two songs i would love to hear covered by you. One is '39 by Queen, the only lovesong based on Einsteins Clock Paradox in basic Relativity, and and the other one is the new epic rpg song by Saltatio Mortis and Blind Guardian, they just released a English version.. Darkenguard.. just thinking of your reverb at the choir

Teutonic

Kind of goes across the spectrum with these."Walking in the Air" "Sweet,Sweet smile""For your Eyes only""Now we are Free(Gladiator)""I Know How the Moon Must Feel(Thomas the tank engine movie)"

firjii

"Wunderkind" (from "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe" OST) by Alanis Morissette. IMO some of the lyrics describe you and the melody is optimistic.

You would think by now I'd have a list handy for just this sort of situation. But no, I have to rack my brain and put it together every time! 😜 Foolish Games As you certainly know by now, I will not shut up about this suggestion until we get a proper fully produced track of what I personally think is your best song 😁 Setting Sail, Coming Home - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g60bPpXEq9Q I've had this one in the back of my mind for years. I think your voice would be perfect for the Build That Wall part, and someone like Peter could definitely fill the Mother I'm Here part. Plus you guys already have Supergiant precedent with Good Riddance! I'm certain you could blow this one out of the water. Elan - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPonioDYnoY If metal was more your thing, I'd have roughly 47 Nightwish songs to suggest for you. But I'll hold back to just this one. I think you could absolutely do Floor Jansen justice. Wight Of The World - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToBQY630PZE Nier is another franchise I could pick countless tracks from. This one definitely stands out. Florida - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEssK8o3jKg This one is kind of out there, basically because I'm currently going through my Taylor Swift era. But I really think you could have a great take on this one in particular. Never Enough - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jZVsr7q-tE Yet another one that thrives on that Malu build up that I know and love. Look At Us Now - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdZaOvSlHAA Another that probably calls for a colab, but it has a lot of parts that I think would be really fun to work with. A Fertile Wood At Heart - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1M8WboKNt4c Ok, hear me out. Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion doesn't exactly scream Malu, BUT if you wanted to try something fun and easy, I think this is exactly that. [Applies substantial restraint before I'm here making more suggestions all day 😅]

Nephilim1977

Wardruna - Helvegen :) I know it's in a different language but somehow I think you can pull it off. Another one maybe is Aisling's Song from The Secret Of Kells. It's a short song but you may be able to expand and be creative with it?

Tomas Almlöf

I can't quite put a genre like that on it, but I like those songs that are very emotional and sung quite slowly. For example how you sing Priscilla's Song. That's stuck in my head for a day now haha. But songs like that are very very good when you sing them. I would like to hear something similar. Or something completely else, learn a song in Swedish. Since you have like a few languages. That might be something new. Or change a verse or something in a song to swedish. I'm sure we are e few swedes around here as well.

Loch lomond, Neverending story

TM599

Besides the obvious Watch Over You 😝, have a listen to Lera Lynn - My Least Favorite Life 🖤

Molmod

How about Harry's Game by Clannad? Lots of harmonies

Marcos J Duran

Found a version on Youtube of "I Don't Want To Set the World On Fire" from the Fallout game and show that somebody changed the lyrics to Spanish. Might be kinda fun and different for you. :-)

Jason Clemons

My suggestions: Con Te Partio (Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman) Into My Arms (Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds) Exile (Enya) Full Circle (Loreena McKennitt)

malukah

Loving these recommendations11111 ay. shift. !!!!! haha thank you so much! Keep 'em comming!

Orchaldor

Trying to think of something different, so I’m going with a space theme for my suggestions: “Vale Decem” (from Doctor Who) by Murray Gold; “Space Oddity” by David Bowie (of course).

David DeKeizer

"Here's a health to the company", sung slow and with a decent amount of reverb. This is a song I want to be played at my funeral as it speaks quite sharply to me. On a less serious note, it would be hilarious if you covered 'Levon Polka', aka the Leek Dance song :)

Linda Rawenna Strandberg

I would love to hear you do a version of "Everything's alright" from the game To the moon. the song is made by Laura Shigihara. Also " Be Still" by The Fray. Both beautiful songs.

James Grammer

Aloy’s Theme from Horizon Zero Dawn! That would sound amazing in Malukah-Voice!! ❤️

Richard Glidden

Here's a few I always thought you'd be able to make a good cover of: Mordred's Lullaby (Heather Dale) https://youtu.be/4X0jUg1B1vQ Carnival of Rust (Poets of the Fall) https://youtu.be/MKk1u5RMTn4 Firewall (Les Friction) https://youtu.be/P5SKsCXnEyA Sing for Me - Lohse's Version (Borislav Slavov) https://youtu.be/kuZHTwNdu58 My Eyes - Dr. Horrible's Sing a Long Blog https://youtu.be/XsUGxcvn8yw (Would be interesting to hear you sing two different characters, or maybe a collab with someone? Peter Hollens?)

Richard Glidden

Oh, and not sure this is a real suggestion, but I can just picture you my in my head singing this on stream and laughing the whole time: Boris the Spider (The Who) https://youtu.be/EXT4aM7Py1I

Bombus Bombini

Ohh I love Aisling's song! Song of the Sea had some good ones too.

TheAlb

Joan (Heather Dale) Sing for me (Lhose Version, Divinity: Original Sin 2) Mummer's Dance (Loreena McKemmit)

Phillip Wright

Odyssey (Greek Version) from Assassins Creed: Odyssey In the Flood from Horizon: Forbidden West

Rooney

Might be fun to explore things like “dream a little dream of me” by mama cass(mas and the papas), or “summertime” by Ella Fitzgerald, “stormy weather” by Etta James, or anything else by them 🤓

Andrés González

There is this cool song that I am sure fits your voice perfectly, it is from an old Bethesda videogame, it is called "The dragonborn comes", hope you give it a try! (JK of course, hope I managed to make you smile 😝)

Norpal

Big second for Carnival of Rust!

Norpal

Or on that note, Yötön yö frrom Alan Wake 2

Norpal

Man, I really need to come up with a way to insert checking Patreon into my daily routine, so I won't miss things like this. Anyways, seconding Poets of the Fall's "Carnival of Rust" that was suggested earlier. Also, "Speak Softly Love" by Nino Rota / Andy Williams As for a video game related song, "Sleeping in the Cold Below" from Warframe is a super catchy folky song that would suit you very well, I feel like.
