Looking good Malu, and I have never had a room that didn't require some " fixing " due to moving panels .... It is finally getting there. I'm happy for you Malu, and if you want I do have some thoughts on what you were showing if you care to hear them let me know :)

Yo Malukah :D Studio's looking great! And yay for the chart, it's always awesome when you can see the effects as cold hard numbers!

Brenden

Excellent!... and fascinating. This is the MOST important thing you can do to get that "epic" sound in the studio. Thanks for the info and examples! Did you add base traps? Those look like traps in the corner...

Joshua Boulanger

What was the sound software you were using to measure reverb in the room? Can you post a link?

WildestHydra904

Sweet! No more waiting around with an awkward setup. Now the party can truly begin!

Heidi

Yay, so happy for you that it's just about finished :D It's surprising how much difference there is between before/after treatment., it's sounds really good now. So the acoustic treatment is panels you put on the walls? I've never heard of it before, not really sure how all this works.

malukah

Oooh, now that you mention it, for the last few panels I have to hang, I'll be sure to record the process so you can see. I'll show you each type of panel and how they are placed! :D I was too in a rush when placing the other panels that I didn't pause to film, but now that the most urgent part is done, I can! :D

malukah

Hehe! Exactly! The true, non-echoey party can begin! :D

malukah

Yep! Well, the kit I bought included 6 panels (called Broadway panels) that if placed on corners, can serve as bass traps. The company actually makes thicker dedicated bass traps, but I think those weren't included in the kits because they are super pricey. I'm hoping it will be enough with just the Broadways as traps. :)

malukah

Hahahaha! Yes! I agree it's super fun to be able to finally see how sound reacts. :D

malukah

I'd love to hear your thoughts! I have so much to learn about all this! Thanks, John!

malukah

Gracias, Santototiiii! Un abrazoooo!

Check your inbox here for my babble on this ...... ;)

This is a little late, but congrats! As someone who moved 8 times in 12 years, I always have respect (and maybe a little sympathy) for anyone who finishes a renovation project. Who knew that those panels could also be used as a decoration statement? :)

malukah

Hehe! Thank you, Firjiiiii! I can't believe you had to move so many times! But I'm happy you survived. Hehehe!
