So many silly mistakes on my part these last couple of days... I'm debating whether I need a good night's sleep or an ice-cold Margarita.

Thankfully, the mistakes are all fixable! I talk about The Bard's Song in the video.

Speaking of which, yesterday I posted something publicly here, which was meant for a specific pledge tier only. Oopsies. My bad. I apologize for the email that was automatically sent. And to hopefully make up for that, here's a link to download the final mix of The Bard's Song that the email talked about.

Alrighty. Have a great weekend!Big hug from Mexico!Doofus Maloofus

PS: and the youtube link that got sent in the email did not work. OMGOMGOG I need to step away from technology immediately. hahahaha

Hang in there Malu. Hiring help for music videos/editing might be a smart investment. I can't imagine all the work you have to do by yourself. Maybe before hiring someone, explain to them (or put it in the contract) you would ultimately be the one to make final decisions, that way they don't impose their own style over yours. At the same time, I would also have an open mind because they might have suggestions that you might find to your liking. Nonetheless, I think that when you finally have additional help, it will alleviate some weight off your shoulders. I can also help in any way I can too. Even if it means proof-reading song titles or clicking on links to see if they work. :D Hope you have a good night sleep...or a kickass margarita (or both). You deserve it.

An amazing song with all the Epic Diva flair we could possibly ask for! You've done really good work Malu. Go take a well deserved break :)

Pam Nelson

Oh I know how you feel!!!! I play my guitar but I’m always playing the same finger picking patterns and not growing or learning anything new. I try to record myself playing and it’s so awkward that I end up screwing up the whole song because my fingers have a mind of their own and decide ALWAYS at the end of a song I am trying to record, to forget the pattern and take off in different directions as if they don’t belong to me. It’s like having a brain fart in my fingers and they won’t cooperate with my brain!!! I have faith in you that you will get it where you want everything to be and it will be amazing. Hugs!!! 💞💞💞

Nemonix

Take your time for all the things you need right now! I know that feel too well. And I imagine its a lot of work to do all the recording and editing, so mistakes can happen. We are all just humans. And fish. And vampires. And pigs. And... much more xD Maybe you can ask the Reverbtrons and/or Reverbians for a couple of video ideas if you need some :D I'm sure you will make the right thing so you can relax a bit and dont push yourself too much in fear to make mistakes. We believe in you! Many hugs to you <3

Buzz Killer

I usually have a good night's sleep after a couple margaritas! Don't you have groupies that can take care of the little details for you? Do you need one?

Petr Dedek - Rhinosek

We are much more. We're a family! And family holding together <3 True friends always support each other! All mistakes make us stronger and smarter than before! Big hugs, Malu <3

TheAlb

You are doing well (even if it might not feel like it). These little mistakes tend to creep in towards the end of project. Sometimes I think just to frustrate us in sight of the finish line. You'll cross that finish line and it all will be good :). *Hugs* <3 When everything with the Bard song is finished, do yourself something good, be it "going out for a nice meal", "cinema", "margarita" or something else, both for "celebrating" but also saying "it is finished". Small things going wrong happens for me towards the end of projects, report written, pdfed and a "Final read through" .. and there is the typo, the formation wrong, the reference missing, something out of place ... even so me and another person read through it a few times between us .. frustrating. In regards to hiring someone. It sounds good. It might just give you the room to focus on other things as it takes some of the strain off, try it out, see how it feels like during the process, how it comes out, to see how happy you are, see what new ideas come into from a new person/perspective, evaluated it after it is finished and than take a step back and 'review' the whole process on what you liked and what not. :) I'd offer to help, but my area of expertise is in a laboratory. However if you ever think I can help with something please let me know.

Heyyyy Malu, Take your time doing things. slow and steady like a turtle. You know the most thing I really love about you, is that you are not a fake person like most of celebrities or such who think they are. You are yourself. If it is Twitch, Youtube or what ever Plattform you show us your real you. No matter if you are tired, confused or just Maloofus. You are there and show us your happy side and your sad side, or your lovely Maloofusness. And that is the reason why we are here and stay. Not because you know how to hide your flaws. we love you Malu with all of your flaws. That is it what makes it interesting and real. Heads Up. everything comes when it is time. Just focus on the things you like and everything is going its way.

Shampa

I don’t really care whether you’re just sitting on your chair or climbing a mountain on the video. Seeing this great looking lady on the screen with the voice that we all have come for is the only thing that matters :D But the idea of hiring people sounds good and it really could allow you to save some time for music.

Hang on there! Remember, you're the though Jude The Dude ;) Sitting drinking the morning coffee listening to the song, it came out absolutely beautifully. Really awesome job! All kinds of projects, especially the ones that have bumps in them, can make you exhausted and frustrated in the end, but when you finish and it all works it's so nice to sit down, relax with your little reward, no matter if it's a margarita, foot massage by the significant other, or just a big stretch on the couch with a little smirk going 'Ha! I did it! I'm badass!'. Oh my, when I've seen your face in the riff bit I just wanted to give you a hug, that's a not very happy Malu. Look at the bright side. For ages now you've been talking about wanting to practice your riffs and shredding on the guitar, but never sitting down to do it. Now you have the opportunity, motivation and a goal. Take it as a bit of your Wonderlukah project, learning something that was in the back of your head, but the opportunity never seemed to be there. Ooor, you can always pull a Lindsey Stirling music video, drive with Omi to Chipinque, and film the instrumental part as you dancing and frolicking in the forest and on the grass with your guitar, perfect fit for the theme of the song ;) With getting help with editing, there's absolutely no shame in hiring a company to do that. You're a musician PhD, and in every field of professional work you reach the moment when it's more profitable, and better to start outsourcing things you don't specialise in, or when you judge that this time could have been used better for something else. Don't shy away from it. Think about it the same way you do with getting the masters of your songs done. Either way, hang on there Malu, stay tough, you can do it! You're the freaking Wonderlukah and we all keep our fingers crossed and cheer for you! Much love and hugs from Poland!

Molmod

Hi there Malukah. The song sounds great - thanks for the download. Re the videos : hiring someone sounds a good idea. Is there a nearby course on film studies (etc.) ? Perhaps they could help out. Students are always keen to try stuff, will have new ideas but at the same time will be happy to take your views into account. Also, if you do film it yourself, if you have a spare camera, perhaps you could film from two angles at the same time. It'll be twice the footage to go through, but might give you a few options on the editing.

iMusBcrazy

OohH Malu you are just PERFECT the way you are. try not to be critical of yourself. I know that will be impossible for you as you are always chasing perfection. Just remember you can't be everything to everyone.. there are billions of people on the planet... that is a lot of millions and even a crazier amount of hundreds , some of us have to luv you :) and the rest DON'T matter !!! keep being you.. that is artist we all love. there is not a single performer anywhere that hasn't made mistakes. So you made a mistake ,,so what.. and now I cant wait to buy this track from Google play :) ... and more importantly.. what you call an imperfection ..well just might be perfection to others. stay strong...stay perfect !!

Pam Nelson

Thank you!!!!!! I LOVE this song!!!! Keep up the great work!!!! You are amazing!!!

Norpal

I hope this laborious creative process hasn't soured you on the song. :D

malukah

On the contrary! All the rerecording helped me learn the song so well, it's now fabulous to play ahhahaa! :D The video is what's been a bit difficult, BUT... I think it's done now! Woooo!

malukah

Hahaha! Buzz :D Margaritas definitely help. hahaha! :D My only groupie is Thor and he has no thumbs. He can't edit. hahahaha! :D

malukah

I was so moved to read your comments. I will respond to each of you tomorrow, but just wanted to let you know the video is now DONE. Thank you for helping me through it. <3 <3 <3 You really make my life better.

malukah

I did find out Watercoloring is a mystery. Hahhaa! So much respect for the people who can do it! hahaha! But it was very relaxing. :) Videos are definitely the kind of media that are deceptively time consuming to edit... Like you say... 10-15 minutes and it's hours!!!!!

malukah

Thank you, Panda. And you're right. I'm looking forward to seeing what another person, or another team can bring into this. Someone with different experience than me that will come up with things I didn't even know existed. :)

malukah

I don't understand how musicians can be precise. I have been clumsy all my life. hahaha! :D I definitely suffer from fingers that do not listen to instructions on how I should play. hahaha! Hugs, Pam.

malukah

hahahaha! We are a modern family! hahahaha! :D Hugs, Nemo and Petr!!!

malukah

Ooooh, this is so true. How mistakes can creep up towards the end of a project. When you are thiiiiiis close to being done, time seems to stretch on forever and ever with issues. And I'll be sure to ask you for help if I need lab work done. hahaha! Thanks, TheAlb. <3

malukah

Yay! I'm glad you like the band/song!

malukah

Little Pumpkin, thank you for the lovely words. I send you a big hug. And I think turtle pace is something I have to remember. Steady. Slow and certain. I tend to grow so impatient and I think this is what made the process in this particular case more complicated... I wanted things to be done immediately... but things take the time they need.

malukah

Thank you, Shmappy. Now I want to make a video climbing a mountain just because it looks hilarious in my mind. hahahaha! <3

malukah

hehehe I loved your comment, Greg. :D I am forever Jude the Dude. hahahahaha! :D Once I published the video today, I felt so happy and satisfied. A true feeling of... DONE. Totally worth it. And it makes you kinda quickly forget any struggles. hahaha! I'm still going to hire someone to help me. Even if I forget my recent suffering. It's time to open up and see how I can grow with others, not just always isolated. :) Hugs to you from Mexico!

malukah

This is an interesting thing... to see about film schools... Because I kinda feel that younger generations are probably very familiar with YouTube-style vids... I'm going to need to start investigating this so that I can have someone to call for the next vid. Thanks for the idea, Molmod!!!

malukah

Just wanted to say thanks again here, iMusBcrazy. <3 Beautiful, beauuutiful words.

iMusBcrazy

Jennifer (Little Pumpkin)

I must learn this too. I want to get things done and force myself into doing it, but then I realize I get sloppy and I have to remember myself, making a break from something is better, because less Mistakes happen then ;)
