Hello, Everyone!

Space Marine Steve signing on to give you a quick look into the studio and to give you an exclusive look at a project that is at the earliest stages of development (and also near and dear to Nick's heart).

A Galaxy Far Far Away

Warhammer 40k gives us a space epic with countless characters, weaving storylines, and action packed opportunities.... however... there is a universe with roots deep in geek culture that has just as many fantastic storytelling opportunities... Star Wars! With a movie franchise that breaches multiple generations and a passionate fan base, I think the time has come for Play On Tabletop to start telling stories with these classic characters for all of you to enjoy. Play On Tabletop is going to a Galaxy Far Far Away.

Planning a Rebellion

Tau Nick has a deep passion for Star Wars and he is leading the charge to create for all of you incredible stories and 'edge of your seat' games that will excite all of you using the Star Wars Legion gaming system. For those of you that haven't seen or tried this system before, it really is fantastic (and such a smooth game) - see the Play On Crew above giving it a go with some of our new models (not even painted yet! That's how new they are!). He has a lot of great ideas and his excitement is infectious! (even if he is Rebel Scum.... guess what faction I chose?...)

What if I only like 40k?

Not to worry at all! Our regular 40k content isn't going anywhere (if anything, it's only going to increase in volume as we grow as a channel and these new shows help us do that). Rest assured, we got our start filming Warhammer 40k and it will always be the beating heart of the Play On Studio. However, these new shows give us all a great chance to experience a different kind of gaming content and check out some new games. There can be something for everyone!

From all of us here at the Play On Studio, thank you so much for all of your support! We could not do this without you!

Play On and may The Force be with you!

Awesome, you guys are now covering 2/3 of the games I play!

Jaan Eesti

I sense a great disturbance in both the force and warp *evil cackle*

Matthew Beavis

You’re telling me there’s something Nick is more excited by than Tau?? Awesome!

Thomas rands

Super awsome I'm exited for some legion gameplay

Alexander Pierre

Great project, can't wait to see the battle reports! Are you going for a different format for the video?

Nate

Love Star Wars, haven't seen the game so it will good to watch. It makes sense Nick is so into it. I have this theory that the concept for T'au started with someone seeing what it would be like if they put Admiral Ackbar in a Gundam Suit.

Brenden

That's awesome!! Very excited to watch.

Star Wars legion was my gateway back into hobbying. Really great and simple game, you guys will no doubt do some cool things with it. I mean what’s not to love, the play on team meets Star Wars... and they said infinity war was the most ambitious cross over project!

Mike Bissell

Great news, legion is excellent so cant wait, keep up the good work

Grady McCormick

This is going to be interesting. I have never played any of the Star Wars games ever. I would love to see this. May the force be with you always.

Pretty dissatisfied with what im getting from this patreon. A backstage picture and a game of 40k every few weeks. I love your shows, and will always watch them on YouTube, but I can't continue to support a channel financially that doesn't even give us weekly content, when my MWG vault membership gets me 5 shows a week on top of the free 5 on YouTube, and my KF patreon gets me daily content. I don't need every show to be edited, I just want content with your wonderful cast, at least weekly. I know its not overly expensive, but I still expect value.

If you want quantity those other channels are great, but by a MILE Play On Tabletop has the best editing and commentary out of any 40k creator I've seen. The extra time they put into making amazing graphics, witty and helpful commentary, and awesome interviews between players really puts their show leagues ahead in my opinion. Of course I'd love to see more, but I have no complaints about what they're doing now. I would MUCH rather see them continue on this slow and steady trajectory with top notch quality, rather than shovel out 15 non-edited Battle Reports that are 4+ hours long a day. Ain't nobody (who works) got time for that!
