The wait is finally over!

After a lot of development, testing and improvements, TBX Mechanical Failures V1.1 is now officially released!

This is one of the biggest updates to TBX Mechanical Failures so far, introducing a completely new level of interaction with your truck and trailer.

And one of the biggest changes?

You no longer have to wait for something to break before you can start working on it. πŸ‘€

V1.1 significantly expands the existing mechanical repair system, allowing you to inspect, disassemble and reassemble healthy components before an actual failure occurs.

But that's only the beginning.

πŸ› οΈ INSPECT YOUR EQUIPMENT BEFORE IT BREAKS

Until now, most mechanical interactions were focused on what happens after something goes wrong.

With V1.1, you can now interact with components even when they're working perfectly fine.

You can open assemblies, inspect accessible internal surfaces, work with individual fasteners, disconnect service connections and put everything back together.

This adds a whole new layer of mechanical interaction to ETS2.

Your truck no longer needs to be broken for you to spend time working on it.

πŸš› 10 TRUCK COMPONENTS & 42 TRAILER SYSTEMS

The update includes an expanded selection of mechanical systems:

πŸ”§ 10 truck components

πŸš› 42 trailer systems

πŸ› οΈ 10 different workshop tools

The available trailer systems depend on the trailer's body type, allowing different types of equipment to have their own relevant mechanical interactions.

This is an important step toward making trailer maintenance just as interesting as working on the truck itself.

βš™οΈ DETAILED MECHANICAL INTERACTIONS

V1.1 introduces more ways to interact with individual parts and assemblies.

You can now:

Pick up and return tools from the workbench.

Loosen, remove, insert, hand-tighten and secure individual fasteners.

Disconnect and reconnect service connections.

Remove service assemblies.

Inspect accessible internal surfaces.

Refit and reassemble components.

Record inspections and assembled-system checks.

The system also checks whether you're using the correct tools and meeting the necessary working conditions.

Depending on the operation, you may need to engage the parking brake, shut down the engine or isolate electrical systems.

It's no longer just about clicking a button and watching a repair happen.

πŸ’Ύ SAVED PROGRESS β€” CONTINUE LATER

Another important addition is persistent assembly progress.

Imagine opening a component, removing several fasteners and disconnecting its connections, but deciding to stop before finishing the job.

With V1.1, your progress can be saved.

The system tracks unfinished assembly work separately for each identified truck and trailer.

You can pause your work, leave the workshop and return later through the tablet without having to restart everything from the beginning.

πŸ“‹ IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Although V1.1 introduces a major expansion of mechanical interactions, there are still a few things worth knowing.

Some connection animations are still being improved.

Inspections and reassembly do not automatically replace failed components.

These operations do not remove ETS2's native vehicle damage.

Opened assemblies must be fully reassembled before replacement service can begin.

I'll continue improving these areas in future updates.

πŸ“Έ SCREENSHOTS & FULL VIDEO SHOWCASE

I've attached several screenshots showing the new features and mechanical interactions included in TBX Mechanical Failures V1.1.

But screenshots don't show everything.

If you want to see how the new inspection system actually works in-game, I've already uploaded a full gameplay showcase in a separate Patreon post.

The video demonstrates the updated mechanical interactions, component inspections and other features in action.
