Hereโ€™s another quick little Behind the Greenhouse Door grower moment from the strawberry rows. โค๏ธ

In this clip, Iโ€™m top dressing the strawberry Bato buckets with vermiculite. Itโ€™s one of those simple little jobs that doesnโ€™t look like much, but it can really help tidy up the top of the media, hold a little surface moisture, and make the buckets look cleaner and easier to manage.

With strawberries, the small details add up โ€” the media, the moisture, the airflow, the crown placement, the runners, the flowers, the feeding, and all those tiny daily checks that keep the plants moving in the right direction.

This is exactly the kind of quick greenhouse tip I want to keep sharing here: not always a full YouTube video, just real moments from the system as Iโ€™m working through the rows.

Thanks for being here behind the scenes with me. More strawberry updates coming soon. ๐Ÿ“

Why professional growers cover their strawberry soil ๐Ÿ“ #hydroponics #gardening #shorts

Stop letting your hydroponic strawberries rot because of a wet root zone. Adding a specific perlite and vermiculite top dressing creates a dry surface barrier that stops gnats and algae from taking hold. This simple adjustment ensures your strawberries focus energy on fruit production rather than fighting off moisture-loving pests. Watch to see exactly how to apply this layer to your own hydroponic setup for cleaner, healthier plants. Subscribe for more practical hydroponic tips.
