Apparently my farmers market customers have spoken… they want iceberg lettuce! šŸ„¬šŸ˜‚

I've had so many new customers coming back week after week, and one request keeps popping up—iceberg. So I pulled out a trial packet I had from Johnny's Seeds and decided it's time to give it another shot.

These little plants are about two weeks old and maybe just a tiny bit leggy šŸ˜„, but I'm getting them into the hydroponic channels and giving them a chance. If everything goes according to plan, in another four or five weeks I should have some beautiful heads ready for the farmers market.

I also show you one of my little tricks for getting seedlings out of the tray without tearing up the leaves when I'm growing in Oasis cubes.

And there's actually a funny reason I stopped growing iceberg a few years ago…

It grew beautifully—but the heads stayed gorgeous and green inside, and nobody believed me when I told them it was iceberg! šŸ˜‚ I couldn't sell the darn stuff.

Maybe this time they'll believe me.

And after working in that greenhouse heat all day, sometimes there's only one thing left to do… find those big fans and enjoy a little cool-down. šŸ˜šŸ’Ø

Happy growing, everyone! ā¤ļøšŸŒ±

🌿 Coming next: I'll be back Behind the Greenhouse Door Thursday at 6 PM with another little piece of farm life that doesn't always make it onto YouTube. See you then. ā¤ļø
