Hello everyone!

Just some info here, and trying a new format for my info post, as per request last time.... Feel free to let me know what you think of it...

RPO = Relationship & Pregnancy Overhaul (aka WooHoo Wellness)Gen.Mod = General Mod InfoGen.Misc = General Miscellaneous Info

- [RPO]-----[Micro-updates & Fixes]I've made series of tweaks and mini-minuscule feature additions to RPO since the release of v2.75. Today, I released BIG fixes. Check update notes there if you want more info. Nothing critical here, so if you don't want to re-download you don't have to - but still, old things from the 'known issues' section have been managed. See it all on the download page here.

- [RPO]-----[Feature Update Status]- Likely will be NO RPO feature release this month. I just won't have time to finish and I don't want to rush out something half-done and consequently crappy. I have been busy with various fixes all month as well as mod support, and re-vamping the mod description website to hopefully diminish the amount of time spent on mod support.

- I am hoping to have something to show on the new add-on(s) before April is over; for now I have a pile of code bits not functionally tied to each other yet I can't show in game what I have already done- but things will come together in a more displayable way soon.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience... I always want to release more and more stuff but I also must be realistic in terms of what good it ever does me to put myself under serious stress to try and beat the clock... With AddOn 7 and the started revamp of Module 2, I have been feeling proud of my work again. I want to keep producing well-made content for y'all, and I want to give it the time it takes and if I don't, it's not great for either of us... I am excited about the current work and am excited to keep bringing it closer to being complete.

- [Gen.Mod]-----[plans for the rest of the month]For the rest of the month, I want to focus on all the things I had mentioned I was going to do this month (see here https://www.patreon.com/posts/whats-been-done-64395567)So, more tweaks and fixes for several mods, and in parallel, work on the new RPO stuff.

- [Gen.Misc]-----[workstation]Thanks to your support, I've been able to order a new desk and got a computer chair (I have an old rickety set-up not at all made either for computer work or for prolonged sitting there); I am hoping these adjustments will keep my joint issues from worsening as they have been. Trying to keep productivity Up and problems Down! :)

- [Gen.Misc]-----[user privacy]I've read some creators have been sharing / tracking their subscribers' info. Rest assured that I would NEVER do that, it wouldn't even cross my mind. I don't even look at anyone's info. I am a hyper private person and treat your info the way I would want mine treated, meaning, securely and without scrutiny. What info are we talking about here?: Creators have the ability to see your email, which I find weird, and personally do not like (because, why is it there?!), so, use a secondary email for Patreon if you have a too personal one and do not like that either. Creators cannot see anything else than your email though - that I know of. I don"t see anything else, and I don't see it unless I go to the patron relationship window, which I never do except to issue refunds.

That's it for today!

Thanks so much for being here, for making my mods possible, and I'm hoping the rest of the month will treat you well!Best,Lumpinou

It's comforting to know you're not doxing people. I just read on a few forums about that happening and have been anxious ever since. I'd hate to get rid of my patreon but that would've been my next move.

lumpinou

Honestly, I think the CC community is a different deal from the modding community. With modders, we each make our own thing, kind of, we don't compete with each other like CC creators feel that they must - there is no reason for a modder to fall to the dark side and think to take those practices. Even though some modders do break EA's TOS by paywalling their content permanently... And trust me I have little esteem for people who go with such practices..... Some CC creators are desperate and take a person with low morals and add despair to it and you get the situation we've been seeing about... No I would never ever dox anyone, I don't care the reasons; that is more than awful. And I do not believe that any of the modders I chat with on the regular would ever list subscriber's info, dox or track them or any such behavior. That is simply insane. Sometimes we joke about how we'd like people to stop re-posting old versions of our stuff around, that it'd be funny if pirates ended up magically with a mod version that does nothing other than exit the game and such - but we're obviously JUST joking around like we joke about other nonsense all the time, and neither myself nor the people I joke about with would EVER consider doing anything like this. We're not keeping tabs on anyone; in any case I can say that I am not and I am very confident modders I interact with often would not either. I've no intent to know who does what even in terms of pirating my content. I find it disappointing but it doesn't fuel any ill intent on my part. In fact a big part of why we don't like piracy of mods is because people might shove malicious stuff in there and users end up screwed. So it is very far from us the idea of having ill intent or making ill intended things. It is just crazy to me how these creators have spoken and behaved. My recommendation is to make a side email address that you use only for non-personal things... I have several emails for such reasons... This kind of thing can happen anywhere. There was a data breach some years ago from an organization that had all my info, and the result was the same.... Data brokers collect and sell our info.... It's hard to stay safe. But I can only say that I treat you subscribers the same way I would treat myself. I would never share your email or such. It's full privacy. I don't keep track of anyone or anything and would never want to. To finish - I'm here to make mods, not to do drama and hate on people. Us creators should focus on creating content instead of being that level of petty as to literally break the law. Also, it's obviously against Patreon's rules what they've been doing. There is nothing to gain from treating your subscribers like that. I love y'all and I try to treat you with kindness and respect, the same as I hope to get.

"- [New feature] Now Sims who don't know yet that they are pregnant will not do the idle pregnant animation." I am SO excited about this new feature - thank you so so so so much!! :-)

lumpinou

I hope I got all of it but I think it was just the one idle animation that happened.... Let me know if I forgot anything else... :)

ChelleBelle716

It's typically the acting sick to the stomach animation and then the baby item thought bubbles that give it away prematurely. I don't have a pregnant sim at the moment so I'll see what happens next time I do! :-)

SimsCtrl

And that's why I'll always be a patreon of yours! I believe I only subscribe to modders and probably 2 cc, but it's going on a year of subscribing and I haven't seen or heard anything malicious from the modders/cc I sub to. Thank you and the other modders/cc who uphold great standards and give us the best gaming experience!

Heidi Wilde

I think that's all I've ever seen as well, except for the times my Sims have run to the bathroom to throw up, but that would happen in real life, so I don't think that needs to change. I mean, if you don't know you're pregnant, you could very easily get a sudden nausea attack. You might think you're pregnant, you might not. It happens to me sometimes and I've never been pregnant. So, yes, I think just the sick animation with the baby thoughts being repressed would be good. I guess it's kind of the same thing as the throwing up, as far as realism goes, but the thought bubbles are always a dead give away. There's more than one reason to be sick to your stomach, Sims Team! Lol

Heidi Wilde

I'm only hearing vaguely about the doxing stuff this morning. It's really sad. I like supporting people whose content I use, how awful for them to betray their subscribers trust like that. Whoever they are. You've always come across as upright and honest. I'm confident in supporting you. I love your content 💜 Your health comes first, though, so I'm happy you were able to get a new set up. Joint issues are no joke!

Kristin Cottrill

I actually like the early warning sign baby thought bubble and sick to their stomach thing when they are pregnant. I watch very closely for them, its like a game!

lumpinou

Most people overwhelmingly wanted that gone; eventually I can make it an option or something, idk, there's no pleasing everyone and if I try to make every single thing a separate file we're all going to go crazy. But it can be done easily. I'll see if I make it a separate file today

Kristin Cottrill

Id be sad if they disappeared! I find myself watching my sims closely for the early signs that they are pregnant. Its kind of fun. I guess I would be okay with the little baby bottle thought bubble vanishing but I would personally enjoy keeping the sick to their stomach. I understand you cant please everyone and I dont blame you for not trying too. I do hope you decide to let it be optional though. I watch my sims like a hawk for those early warnings. Im one of those players who really enjoy growing the families and play with household limits set to 20!

Sam D.

Thanks for the new format- it's a big help! I appreciate it and its a big help for those of trying to manage many mods. I'm glad you got anew work set up- its important to prioritize your wellness, ad good equipment will support that- yay!

ChelleBelle716

Personally, I am very happy that Lumpinou suppressed those initial animations. They appear SO quickly, it made it impossible to create a drama situation where the baby's father was not immediately known. Your sim would woohoo with one potential baby daddy, and if they did get pregnant, you'd see the signs before you even had the chance to have your sim woohoo with another potential candidate. Suppressing those animations until the initial 24 hours is up (and the pregnancy is officially discovered) allows time to create more dramatic scenarios to play with your sims so even you don't initially know who the father is. It's also just not realistic. I have kids and not once did I have physical symptoms THAT quickly after conception. But I know everyone plays differently. For me personally, this was a small change that will have a significant positive impact on how I play. :-)

ChelleBelle716

I did test it last night - I had a sim have unprotected woohoo (from which she got pregnant) and she didn't show any of the typical signs of being pregnant (acting nauseous and baby item thought bubbles) until after the game gave it's notification 24 hours later. :-) At one point, before the notification, she did start rubbing her stomach and she got a toilet thought bubble, but I think that can mean a number of different things and she was hungry at the time so I think it was indicating that. So it seems to be working great - thank you!

2026-09-21 21:00 I don't think the nauseous animation is completely gone though, right? It's just delayed after they find out they're pregnant or something. That's the ideal, but if it's completely gone, I'm actually okay with it

It's just not there when they're not aware yet of pregnancy (the animation with the baby bubble), once they know it's fine

Patrick Meakins

idk if this is possible but the thought bubble about the baby when ur sim could possible be pregnant maybe they get a buff/moodlet that says something like am i pregnant like the sim2 with the dummy and question mark and it vary s on the thought of what they think like tense if they dont want kids or happy that they could be pregnant

Jenny Torres / Gypsy

First of all I want to say that your health comes first, do not rush anything, we your followers and patrons understand, and also about the leaks we do trust you thats why we are still here supporting you... just take your time rest in between and all will be good God Bless

Kristina

We're really proud of your work too. :) I'm so happy you got a desk and computer chair that won't inflame your joints. Oof, know what that's like, and I imagine pain and modding don't work well together. I mean, pain and anything, but yeah, computer work is its own beast on the body. Thank you for addressing this. I never had any worries about you, but I'm glad to know now that y'all can see our email addresses. I thought only Patreon could, and had an identifying email address on file here. So, I changed that, and hopefully the old one will disappear from creator's databases soon. You're right, that is really weird, but I'm glad to know now.

DC

"sims that do not know they are pregnant will not do the pregnant animation" omg THANK YOU

Kristina

See, that's what I don't get. Why would anyone pirate mods? Maybe I'm just in a different area of the modding community, lol, but I've never seen anyone perma-paywall mods, so it seems kinda silly to pirate something that really truly is free. CC - I get why that happens. That's been an old fight since Sims 1, and I ain't getting into that in this nice and cozy space. Could you explain the thinking on that? Pirating mods? Or am I thinking of this wrong, and it's actually people stealing them to claim as their own?

kal

i actually almost enjoy that little bubble! because if you're not expecting a pregnancy it adds some story to your game!

lumpinou

Because I realize this isn't as unanimous as I thought, I am working on making it optional

karla

HI i want to ask if I'm doing something wrong i am doing a surrogacy for Eliza and every time i invite her over through invite the parents over i can't do any interactions with her except complain about pregnancy

lumpinou

Can you reformulate the question, I'm not sure I get it

karla

I'm doing a surrogacy for eliza and it says I can invite the parents over through the alternative pregnancies and when she gets there all I can do is complain about pregnancy to her

lumpinou

The invite thing is just about inviting them and doing game stuff and interactions, there's not many dedicated added stuff. Normally you can call them also at some points and such but yeah. That sounds normal to me.

karla

Oh okay because I thought it said I can invite over to feel the baby

lumpinou

Yeah, that's a game interaction (feel the baby)

karla

Oh okay I thought it was a separate thing for your mod thank you

Loie Jovis

So usually when you use a surrogate, you take the moms egg and the dads sperm then its implanted into the surrogate. I'm curious as to why with your surrogate option...its the dads sperm and surrogates DNA and egg instead of the biological mom. Same thing with the artificial insemination. Its the mom being injected with a donor instead of the bio dads sperm being an option to be injected...is it suppose to be like that?

lumpinou

For artificial insemination, if they have a partner, the partner can be chosen to be the source. For surrogacy - that's because that's how the game's pregnancy system works! :) I was changing that as part of my 'switching the family tree' thing but encountered issues as basically here it would imply completely preventing the game's whole system and running another instead in case of surrogates. Which should be doable but it's tricky! So for now it's what it is, until I figure what was going wrong.

Loie Jovis

Oh okay! The bio dad or spouse never comes up for me Just donors..

Pink Sprinkles

The other parent never recognizes the surrogacy process.

ChelleBelle716

Hi there! I had a quick question for you. First though, the delayed pregnancy animations have been working awesome! I have my first Sim pregnancy where I legitimately don't know yet which Sim is the father. I'll be finding out along with my Sim! Thank you again! :-) So I received the game notification that my Sim was pregnant, and she's woken up twice now with the morning sickness moodlet, but when I click on a toilet to have her throw up, the option is not there. I've checked on the toilets on her lot as well as other lots she's visited. It's just not there. I have all the latest mod files (V 2.76 - Apr 21). Any idea why the throw up option is not presenting while she has the morning sickness buff? It's not the first/most dominant moodlet she has - that one is the "Unwanted Pregnancy" moodlet - but I wouldn't think that should cause the option to throw up to not appear. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated. Thank you!

lumpinou

Hi! Doesn't matter which moodlet dominates, if she has morning sickness she should see 'throw up'. I of course tested it before releasing and it did show when supposed to. Can you try without other mods just to see if another mod is messing with it? 🤔

ChelleBelle716

OK. My current Sim is now out of her first trimester so I'm not sure if the morning sickness moodlet will appear again. If not, I'll test it on my next pregnant Sim should the issue continue. Thank you!

SamWisez

I have a quick (hopefully) question, I have the RPO = Relationship & Pregnancy Overhaul (aka WooHoo Wellness) mod, and I went to the hospital to have some surrogate twin babies, when we returned home I could no longer send them off to their parents. It won't let me start a new surrogacy as long as I keep these babies, and I can't find the household in any of the worlds to just move them out either. Any ideas?

lumpinou

Don't send surrogates to the hospital. Look for the debug interaction, see under 'known issues' on the download post

Lauren Shields

Hi quick question so if sims have divorced and custody has been decided for the sims, but the parents get back together but not married does the custody rights get removed and options for visiting get removed?

lumpinou

Normally if they get back together everything gets removed yes
