I think it's charming that the first person Emne thought to go to in order to find Emil, is his lieutenant. I never know what the broad reader opinion is on Emil's domestic concerns but the way they contrast with a large bird woman trying to rewrite reality and a girl with a tail finding out she has super powers always delights me. It's at the same time ridiculous and grounding.

But yeah, wonder where the Captain is?
