I'm really eager for the queen to explain how "my amazing husband gave me these gifts so I'll have to burn him now" makes perfect sense. I love Ufal in the last panel. He's so handsome

A moment's silence for Duane, who saved the man who saved the queen who now, as expected, turns the war towards his home. It doesn't mean he was right to try and leave her for dead either! But it is as he's feared. Meanwhile Sonorie's long and recent anguishes are so felt in that glance to Ufal. Waugh.

This is BS. No wunderwaffe can perform ground operations without ground troops coming in afterwards for sweeps. And there'll be some random mine or a spellwright hiding in a ditch that will affect casualties on those ground troops. Sure, the constructs can come in to destroy dammakhert hubs, but is that really enough? Anyway. I'll let the queen get her moment.

Not one Crescian live lost sounds implausible, from a logistics perspective. And, on further thought, it sounds terrifying on a humanitarian perspective. The only way to make sure that no Crescian dies is to hit Alderode with so much overkill and leave them so thoroughly broken that there will be no smidgen of resistance. No faint chance of a retaliatory raid or something. I am so intrigued. What will it be, bullshit propaganda or the wholesale ruination of an entire civilisation? Maharishala has me biting my nails.

I do love the crowd shots too! So fun to see a range of facial expressions. Shows that the masses are not just "npcs", but made up of humans with different life experiences, and therefore different reactions to the queen's claims and spectacle of it all. Well done!
