The rules stated by Thackery (I reread that page before posting the comment) were verbatim: "no leeches and don't target your opponent".

Getting stabbed and playing possum until the opponent's guard is down worked pretty well for her before, so maybe she'll do that again.

Really holding out for the longshot where she simultaneously casts a glamor and a fireball and Goodwin can only catch one and it's the WRONG ONE and all the lions get to talk shit about substandard line scrying of the Geffies which as a special treat Thackery allows for one minute but that doesn't fit her setup here

Well TBF getting stabbed wasn't an intentional strategy, and the opponent's guard would have been down anyway (no one in Alderode expects a little girl to be able to cast offensive spells, tacitly no less). While the guy she's impersonating right now is expected to know how to cast (not tacitly, however).

It's possible that he's just summarizing the rules in a quick way with the assumption that everyone generally knows the specifics, so maybe "no leeches" really does mean literally no leeches on anything or maybe it's specifically no leeches on your opponent. I could really see it going either way.

Yeah, no leeching your opponent or anything on your opponent's person. You can target their weapon - but only after you've disarmed them of it and taken it for yourself. Which may be what Mikaila's planning.

Absolutely. I think it'll be possible to add the zine after the KS ends, too - at least to a point - so there'll be opportunity even if it goes down to the wire.
