Two pages today! Round some parts they call that a Mikaila Counter."Illuda" is AWESOME! in case you forgot. One of Matty's favourite words.

Jeremy Ball

"Mikaila Counter" sounds much classier than "Nutshot Yeet".... I suppose.

Rifter

Will with a freakin shield spin! Damn that was badass. Dude used his ult at just the right moment! Glad to see he's actually a very capable fighter, in contrast to his perceived goofiness. Guess the same goes for Mikaila haha.

Khyrberos

woo sick action sequence! (kinda having a hard time reading the action though tbh 😅 hard to finagle, I know. who's leg is she grabbing/enchanting in p1p2? then stomping on the spear with her enchanted leg? and how is Will sliding in (such a tight) circle on a flat surface? what kind of pymary makes a spear shaft able to flip a dais?)

Ashley

Whoops, sorry it's hard to read! Yep, casting on her leg to make it super heavy, then it stomps/falls on his spear. Will is just badass, hit the ground at just the right angle to vector where he wanted. Miki relocated the spear haft beneath the dais like a sudden lever, and up it flipped.

JarJar

I'm sure Duane would be conflicted, but daamn-- that was incredibly cool! Hard to believe Will and Miki might not have fought together before, but I guess they got that BFF synergy? Still got the Plat left tho and he's probably gonna do something nuts!

Manic Raven

look at all those kids tree isn't killing he's reformed

Alight

PFF- Tree, this has endeared me to you greatly. (Also, cue the scene in which Mikaila gets discovered as a woman.)

PotentPinion

Goodwin too scary for this kinda celebration... But even Vlad is impressed.

Khyrberos

gotcha! yeah that kinda tracks better.

JarJar

...he's off the clock

jaaama

The distinguished polite clapping... Love it (and everything else on this page)

Reed Copperstrand

Even *Thackarey* is impressed! But Argenti Sr. is ominously stone-faced...

Noto

Is the dais not pinned down...? Is the spear haft able to provide enough power and leverage for that? Im not sure where the force is coming from or how the haft would be relocated in its whole..

Noto

This is such a fun pair of pages! Love everyone cheering and Thackeray 's clapping... look at that guy smooching his pup!!! Alderode and Cresce should make up over their shared love of hounds :) Is Mikaila's glamour making her seem taller too...? Would that result in a miscalculation if someone tried to hit her....?

Quinton

Love the soldier hugging/kissing the big floofy doggo there.

vCalavera

There is uh.... a lady with EXTREMELY green eyes there. It may be nothing but them laser peepers be troubling me.

Khyrberos

(yes I also kinda wondered this; sorta woulda assumed it was all one big solid piece built into the ground)

Cassie

THAT'S! MY! DAUGHTER!!!!!! THAT'S MY SONBOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I looooooove the style you're using to indicate action shots. It really gives a clear indicator of the speed and/or strength being utilized as they move.

JarJar

I actually double checked this cuz I thought the battle was over— but yeah, both participants need to be knocked out of the ring (or like dead? Tho I guess they might still have to toss out the corpse)

Ladile

This is awesome but I'm anxious for the other shoe dropping at some point and Mikaila getting outed. Even though I'm assuming Will & Miki are going to ultimately win this, her being a woman would be the perfect excuse for Valentin to void the agreement because the Ssaelit technically didn't stick to the rules. Argenti Sr. couldn't push back because then it'd be seen as the Lions being so weak that they need to have women fight their battles. (I mean, the Gefendur crowd would say that no matter what, but still.)

Ryan Green

That leg maneuver was sick as fuck! But did she say that one out loud?

Ryan Green

Love walrus-stache soldier lol

Ashley

It shouldn't, but having her in an adult dude's clothes and shoes is throwing off her proportions in a lot of places.

Ashley

No, she snuck that one to hide how physically weak she is. Helps her illusion :)

Duke BG

He's literally a tree

Duke BG

Argenti Sr. is not dissappointed this time.

Duke BG

Noto, I've wondered this too

Duke BG

Where did she take the weight from?

Josh

I recall reading you were working on not making every character, like, anime-prettyboy-beautiful, and I gotta say you're succeeding with all those goofy doofi in the crowd; what a bunch of interesting-looking fugglos

Clay's Sketchbook

It's interesting to me that pretty much all the Aldish street kids we've seen so far have been Bronze or Plat. 🤔

Ashley

They're the largest castes :)
