So how does the Etalarche curse work mechanically? It seems like both perception glamors and soul modifications are fairly recent, Black-Tongue driven inventions, and wouldn't have existed back in the day. (I'm assuming that the Lady was not inspired to create the Black Tongues until after she had met Ssael.)

"I couldn't breath it" should probably be breathe. I think this is the first time I've seen a typo in your work. :-)

Ah ha finally the Etalarche Curse is explained! We got pretty close to guessing what it did over the various discussions we had on it. Now to determine exactly how the Queen and Roger plan to use it.

Runeloon

Wow, that's more effective than a regular death sentence. One can't lead a rebellion if your own sympathisers suddenly want you dead. Or is the effect more localized to the cursed?

Duke BG

Etalarche Curse in our world is called Milkshake Duck (-ing) (sick memes)

Evana

"All the world hates Roger Foi-Hellick" indeed. I love your foreshadowing :)

Wow... Talk about a PR machine. And if the curse landed, no wonder the queen is so interested in the contents of his mind. It could be a great too in understanding the dammakhert. Also, if you were going an illustrated novel, I'd still be so on board. (You've gotta find a publisher to do your PR and pay you bigger bucks, my friend. You are so fucking GOOD. You blow my mind regularly and I read A LOT.)
