I was tempted to do a twofer - the next page is really meaty - but arrgh, Fridays are bad days to skip.

Dhampir there you may remember from the beginning of the chapter - she's the one who put her sword through Lemuel's friend. I like her a lot and cutting out pretty much her entire backstory was painful. Ultimately I decided she wasn't important enough to dedicate that kind of page real estate to, since she doesn't appear outside of this chapter. She'll just have to get by on her looks~
