Four pages today. My instincts were against posting these up separate.

Some interesting developments, I think. Originally this was much more explicit but I found the nudity and flying liquids distracting when I thumbnailed it out, so I dialled it back. It's not about the pleasure so much as letting go; as Duane allowing himself to have someone to cling to, and a moment's peace.

But if Duane takes refuge in the past it requires unlearning a lot of the lessons that have changed him and widened his perspective since then. And the current situation in the shrine may not respond well to Duane at his most Aldish.

These pages are beautiful.

Hollow bones – iiiiiinteresting. I guess there is a cost to giving silver collars out to all your black tongue lovers. If only… if only there were a vast wealth of silver somewhere with the possible ability to tear a hole in reality and reach her. Hmmmm.

You continue to outdo yourself. Such beautiful work, such a complex, intriguing story. Tenterhooks, madam. You have me on tenterhooks and I love it!

You continue to be suspiciously good at portraying worlds and characters, even those with a decidedly non-human outlook. However ridiculous, I cannot dismiss the possibility that you are in some way of that place, and not entirely making this up...

This is such an intriguing and lovely scene. I love Duane and his family so much, why can't they just be a happy family?! Lemuel looks so suspicious here, as if he was jealous of Duane. What did he do?! Maybe Duane can keep Lady I's words with him while awake...

What astoundingly good pages. As much as I love seeing Duane let go, I think Lady Ilganyag - forgive me, Sessine - may not be the most selfless lover he could choose.

LordOfChains

Y’know, I just noticed something. Is there a connection between the ‘thorns’ gloves and Lady Ilganyag? I’ve been noticing all these little tiny things in the real-comic-world that have connections to stuff in the khert.

Man, that's some hypocrisy there with Lady I. Encouraging Duane to ignore his inner turmoil and stop growing so that he can be what "much relies on," but then also talking about how she wants him to be his best self. I wonder whether she is herself fully aware of that disconnect.

Sharpeslass

Now I really don't trust her. Anyone seeking to limit (much needed) personal growth is a negative. Duane is only a tool to her.
