Doing three new pages today. By how close Siya came to being crushed I'm not sure if things would have been any different if Sara had ignored the book, but...what a final act of love. Edit: Alright, after the sobbing stopped, I got everything taken care of. Still, Achievement Unlocked! Also........water witch changed her mind and came back? Bastion randomly does something nice in an unexpected place, time, and way? Um...you really don't have a lot of safety nets built in, it seems... I get it, Ashley. Sara spent these past few chapters constantly being way too good for this world. I remember back when we first met the twins and it wasn't clear, I wrongly thought Sara was the one getting sacrificed on their special day. So this does make sense. But sense-making ain't making this better. Excuse me, I'm gonna go cry. Please tell me Sara gets to live on by the lessons of kindness she taught Siya, Jivi, and Sette. (And also in Siya's story.)

This was completely devastating, btw. I've not been this tearful since the Duane death chapter. Those last words. So perfect. This story plays my heartstrings like a fiddle. And while it is frequently very, VERY sad, it is never depressing. There's a big difference, and it is one that keeps me coming back for more.

I've been eyeing the three black flowers at the right top of the border on the site with some dread. I'm hoping they don't mean we're going to lose another twin. My only hope for Siya is that the larger flower could represent Lori. I'm not optimistic.
