If i were a betting man, im gonna guess Duane is about to do something really, really stupid and dramatic, and Sette is gonna also have to do something stupid, dramatic, and exceptionally brave to save him from his own decisions. In any case, I think we can all agree, FUCK Lemuel.

The stutter was so good. There's a book written in that hesitation. This is why I love this so much--you drop in all of these little tiny things that really push the characterization in ambiguous ways, raising interesting questions and bringing out a kind of humanity. I swear, most authors don't even think to put it in. But you find great ways to put in what is otherwise, dare I say it, Unsounded.

Sad (but to be expected) conclusion to their reunion, particularly when thinking back at Lem’s happy face when he first realized it was Duane, before removing the mask. Like always, I do not hate characters for being assholes… it’s always interesting to me how a lot of readers have very strong opinions on some of the morally flawed cast. I remember when everyone was hating Quigs, then Bastion and now a lot of people are angry at Lem. I guess, I’m generally not very comfortable with morally judging others. Obviously I can't avoid it completely, but as a flawed human myself I try to understand where others come from. But maybe I’m too lenient, particularly when it comes to morally flawed pretty boys. ^^;
