When last we saw Bastion, he'd just returned from checking on Prakhuta/Cutter, and had found his old friend batshit insane and with more genocidal ideations than one typically likes to see. Confronting Lady Ilganyag about all this, she'd choked him into a coma. Such ingratitude! Timofey has been a little bored in the interim.

Bastion's apartment is gross, isn't it? He doesn't usually spend much time here. This is Fachlyne, also known as the quarantined district in which the weeping plague has spent the last quarter century running rampant. When he's not playing mook to Tiddybird, Bastion has a very nice workshop here in which he tends to the plague stricken and researches the ailment.

But not so much, lately.

That was the funniest word salad I've read in a long time. I feel so bad for Timofey

Didn't expect to see Dunwall again, still a hellhole.

Timofey has evolved. Now Poltergeist! Timofey Poltergeist turns the page. It's very effective!

The Clag

Timofey's plight has brought to mind a question for everyone, have any of you elected not to recommended Unsounded to a friend or family member specifically because of it's length? I usually only talk about it with my siblings but my father recently caught up with me in Stand Still Stay Silent and I started describing Unsounded as a possible next read since SSSS is coming to a close. Here's the thing though, My Father is turning 79 in about two weeks. He's healthy enough that I could picture him living into his 90s but I feel conflicted recommending him a story that statistically, He'll never see the end of. Unsounded is one of my favorite pieces of fiction and we have similar enough taste that I think he would love it as well, what do you all think? He's effectively computer literate so it will be me setting up a bookmark for him. Ashley, I understand that a reader you were close with passed a while back and you laid out the remainder of the story for her, I wouldn't ask for such a thing as I would have to be the messenger in such a situation and that was such a special thing to do I wouldn't want to cheapen it. It's not often I think hard about my parent's mortality, I don't know what to do. Sorry for the wall of text.

I’m 70 and have been reading Unsounded since the beginning. I hope that I have enough time left to read to the end and then re-read to get all the stuff I missed on the first time though, especially the entire background of the societies and religions portrayed. Age is no impediment to enjoyment. Unsounded is wonderfully complex and a lot more fun than Ulysses.

Just wanted to mention that I love the transition between Ilganyag's rummagings and the crows picking through the garbage on this page!

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I'm going to loan my dad my copy of Volume 1, if that doesn't hook him I don't know what would. I've been a bit short sighted, you're mention of Berserk reminded me Ashley, I caught up with One Piece(finally) last year and if Eiichiro Oda passes before he finishes it millions of people with be devastated, but I don't think any of them would regret reading it. Hopefully my dad will appreciate Unsounded enough that I can have someone to discuss it with face to face. : )
