And that's the last we'll see of Litriya shrine for now. Long arc - thanks for sticking with me through it! The chapter's not done yet though; next we'll take a brief trip to Bastion's nasty apartment before doubling back to Cresce for more Tirnasday celebrations~

A few chapters ago we got a glimpse of Lady Ilganyag's nest within the khert and saw it contained a weird assortment of rather familiar items. Seems she's been digging with a specific purpose in mind, and claiming strange prizes.

These items have me scratching my head something fierce.

Wooh What!? I'm not clear on what just happened, perhaps it will be explained in coming events. Does Lady Ilganyag interface the real world from the khert through Sette? Sette can afterall travel in the khert and exit unscathed (physically at least). I also wonder, now that Duanne is basically a skeleton, could he perhaps construct a body around himself? Not a glamour, but he himself the pilot of a construct the size of a man and in the shape and likeness of Duanne Adelier. And I wonder if the ampule in the necklace is the same as what was forced into Duanne before Bastion transmuted him.

Did...she just rip the physical thing itself into the khert or a symbolic representation of the thing? 'Cause if she can pop stuff across that border for Ss&Gs...I think we just solved a lot of missing persons cases...and found a lot of creepy at the same time.

Madison

Oh, but can we talk about Duane giving Sette the amulet back? What an expression of trust and love and even understanding. Duane pulling out some radical forgiveness here- you love to see it.

Fitzy

Lady I, I'm sorry, but reading private memories is rude. Also not feeling good about that gutted Chitz memory.

Bloody pen, Broken Chitz... seems to me Ilganyag's findings are from a very recent past. I wonder if Siya's book contains a single proper picture of Sara and her beaming smile.

Oh dang. Has to be a very specific person, if it's just one. Those heart things are from the head engineer lady, right? How many people saw that and also saw the Ald-stabbing pencil? Hmmm...

As an Australian, and 4th dan Master of the ancient martial art of poking things with a stick, I just have to commend corn-row twin #2 on her perfect poking form.

Is the head still working? Will they pick it up?

Im glad to see that Duane, despite the horrible things thats happened to him, and he did to others, was able to not only forgive sette for the amulet, but also acknowledge that despite the awfull breach of trust it represents, Sette was for the most part right in how she used it. That sette, is the only person alive, who loves him unconditionally.

Duke BG

Also, on the topic of Duane passing the amulet back to Sette. I don't think he had time to figure out how it works. Isn't he at least curious? Literal mind control (soul control?) is not a conventional thing, as far as we know. Well, outside of plods – but he ain't one. Also, no matter how good this gesture of trust is, he's kinda giving up on himself by doing it – giving up having an agency of his own voluntarily. I don't know, that thing is stronger than marriage vows and it's weird that he's agreeing to one-directionally "marry" Sette in this way.

The khert contains all time yet is influenced by events, making particular memories easier to find shortly after they are made. Maybe. I have none idea. Thanks, Erick T- I was having trouble placing those two hearts.

Madison

Also wow super interesting how Lady I can dig through Kehrt memories and Sette can too hm hm hm hmmmm

I actually dreamed last night of how the scene would play out after Duane's found, but in said dream, torso-Duane has somehow managed to keep a hold on his entire vocal apparatus, pymaric tongue included. He had raised is hood up and had managed to make a sort of vague face-hole out of solidity aspect that could work as a mouth, but it had no visual aspect to speak of (aside an outline that was more comic-metatextual than really there... dreams, man) so we were basically looking at an empty hood with a floating tongue apparatus body-horror-ish-ly wagging in there as it laboriously produced a rough approximation of words. It was the little twins who had found him though, and he asked them if this was freaking them out, and one of them was all "No not at all!", bold as brass, but the other one was like "Actually that is kinda is getting to me" (I'm paraphrasing, I don't remember the words exactly more than the impressions). And then the dream switched to Fallen London shenanigans because I've been back at playing that lately, so I am afraid I have nothing more. But it sure was novel, as dreams go!
