Just eat someone else, priestess, gawds! True believers are the worst; no wonder she's been receptive to Bell's grumbling.

Yes… did the queen want Alderode to move into her country? Did she expect them to extend the Damakhert to a hub her people could reach? So that the mapped Etalarche curse can be used to rewrite the entire Aldish people. Now you got me trying to figure stuff out and I always feel like such a fool when I get it wrong. I don’t know where book 1 ended, maybe I’ll get some answers soon.

Ufal and Liro….. sweet men…. Oh….. stay safe…….

Michael Stakely

Situations like this is why Instacart never took off in Kasslyne.

I love the Chancellor's expressions on this page, but Roger looks a bit odd, like he was taken from another page. Edit: Yes he was, not sure it's a bad thing, but it definitely caught my eye.

Any chance we met the Amars already?

Fitzy

"And a pint of liquid bliss" Is this one of the things Delibird was producing?

Manic Raven

It’s nice to see that Ufal is cannier than he seemed (to me anyways) at first glance

Duke BG

The news haven't traveled that the Litriya twin is already dead, then

Mister Scarecrow

Yet another panel dedicated to the only man holding Cresce together by sheer force of anxiety... And probably more than a few ulcers. My man's stomach lining looks like the surface of the moon. Completely unrelated I never get tired of how fully and completely extra the outfits become when mixed with Pymary and absurd wealth. Great contrast and really utilizing the visual portion of the comic format. Even more unrelated: The priestess do be lookin' thicc tho for a hyper-religious cannibal.

Ufal is growing on me

Runeloon

Goodness, these two seem like such decent sorts. I hope they survive this ordeal, as it does seem that Cresce high society is struggling due to a lack of communication and mediators with their heads on straight.

Ellie

I love Liro! He humanizes Ufal, too. Now I'm curious about the last time Ufal "saved the world."

The Clag

Liro, you will live to see man made horrors beyond your comprehension, you'd better go get drunk first.

Chase

Good to hear Bastion's staying in form. Ufal's facial expressions are priceless as well.

You know, I've never considered the idea that city was given to Alderode intentionally. This makes enough sense to me, but also makes Maha so much more... villainous? To sacrifice Roger, who is willing, is one thing, but those mounds of burning corpses we've seen are her own citizens who I am sure were not asked to play that role. Makes me wonder what might be the 'ends' to justify those 'means'.
