Oh Sette! I’m sorry I screwed you over!

Michael Stakely

I tried, Sette, but the back button doesn't work out any better for anyone.

L Anon

Damn it, Sette! We use that button!

Quinton

That was amazing. I feel bad now.

Stillpoint

I stopped. ...so I had to come over to Patreon to actually see what happens. :)

Jeremy Ball

That Tittybird is really clicking my buttons. Imma drink some Fight Milk crowtein and kick her arse.

Malik M.L. Williams

I’m so slow, I didn’t even realize that was a fourth wall break, and I was supposed to keep clicking until I came back and started reading the comments. Brill.

Rifter

That was so awesome!

CD

I'M SORRY KIDDO D8 Made complicit...

T

Sorry Sette, the show must go on.

Rainwalker

Tittybird looks a little different this update... did she get a haircut? And having to search for the arrow was fun. I've never really noticed the "forward" alt text with the arrow before, it adds a relentless aspect to this. Forward, forward, forward

Noxae

I love those kinds of update! They're so clever and fun.

forlornfoe

Way to go making me intrigued, entertained and eventually regretful of simply clicking an arrow. So that page alone invokes more emotions than most Hollywood movies and TV shows during their entire runtime.

SET

So Cool!

Cheese Toast of Death

I just adore the massive mind-screw that this forth-wall-breakage creates. Is Sette actually seeing a cursor click on an arrow as things get worse? What does it mean that she's looking at her previous panel? Or that her regretful flashbacks were actual Unsounded pages? Is there even a valid answer besides a smirk and a shrug?

HandsomePenguin

I noticed that she had grabbed something, but It completely blew past my brain that it was the actual forward arrow, I had to click back a couple of times to figure it out... My first thought was: She didnt grab anything on the patreon page....

Capsandnumbers

I love how free this section is. From Sette's animated fall, to looking at the comic panels, to this page, it feels like a gentle introduction before things get truly wild

idonotlikepeas

Lovable, furry old Grover says that there's a monster at the end of this update.

I've always really enjoyed how the comic takes advantage of the web format, with animation or layout. The action spilling out of the frame in different ways makes it feel like it has an extra dimension. It's always a surprising treat when it happens, no matter how small it is. My favorites are probably the knife and noose in the Nevergreen (because it was so unexpected), and the water flooding the beach and flowing over the edge in ch 17 (because that had a real emotional impact on me when reading those pages - very intense!). In these khert sections it feels even more appropriate. Anything is possible here - why not the breaking of the comic's borders, or the fourth wall, too?
