Chapter! Go, go, go!

Loving this, though it felt shorter than normal. Also loved the touch with making the paper actually blue.

Yeah Rain and Ascension are going to have cult-like fanaticism from folks if this is how they make an entrance. No doubt for some people it's like a religious savior just showed up to town.

That bit with Talheart was hilarious. Though it feels out of character to me.

crazychaza07 .

That was a good one with talheart. Made me chuckle

I wonder if Purify conveniently dissolved the invonvenient murder victim, so that Ascension doesn't have to deal with that mess.

giom

I feel that I missed something with that grond reference?

Money math seems wrong. One copper is 2$. Copper bar=50 coppers=100$. Small silver=2 copper bars=200$. Ring=5 silvers=1000$. Orb=20 rings=20000$. Silver bar = 2 orbs+1 ring=41000$, not 10000$.

Yes! I want more info on Nature Magic!

Yes indeed. Fixed now, I think. Thanks! Here's a table. Can't do anything about patreon's comment formatting, but if you paste this into a spreadsheet application, it should be able to make sense of the columns. Small Copper Large Copper Copper Tile Copper Bar Small Silver Silver Ring Silver Orb Silver Bar 1 0.2 0.05 0.02 0.01 0.002 0.0005 0.0002 5 1 0.25 0.1 0.05 0.01 0.0025 0.001 20 4 1 0.4 0.2 0.04 0.01 0.004 50 10 2.5 1 0.5 0.1 0.025 0.01 100 20 5 2 1 0.2 0.05 0.02 500 100 25 10 5 1 0.25 0.1 2000 400 100 40 20 4 1 0.4 5000 1000 250 100 50 10 2.5 1

Shouldn't Rain already know if Nature magic can make plants grow super fast? He has all the skill trees unlocked and memorized, and plant growth doesn't seem like it would be a hidden skill.

The base skill, Cultivate, Rain has seen, yes. He's less asking if Green can do it in general, and more as a starting point for the conversation. The question Rain is really asking is: 'how fast is fast'? From the fact that Nature Mage wasn't on Rain's list of priority classes during the last round of awakening, you can safely assume that the speedup isn't all that impressive without either a) a lot of metamagic and levels, or b) hidden metamagic (also things he's interested in talking to Green about).

Thanks. I thought it would be something Rain might do. "Hey, I've got a blue interface, so I'll ask Reason to make me some blue paper to use as my personal stationary. 'From the captain's desk' and all that." :)

XD I love the "Harming a Crystal Slime" part, hahahaha! At the same time, it really makes sense. Not only are Crystal Slimes essentially harmless, at this point, they're an essential part of the groups "culture" and a backbone of their structure, helping to maintain and keep everyone healthy.

Enkelados

Best chapter in a while.

Possible #Bug_Report A section of the notice mentions how no allowances will be made for a bunch of things, including "awakening status." Whereas it's typically "awakened" instead. Awakening is typically referring to the event a person awakened, with them referred to as awakened as a group afterwards. Including elsewhere in the same notice. Not sure if typo, but would think it should be "awakened status" instead.

I've also been interested in the subject ever since seeing those plants/trees in the Ashen Jungle all lighting up at the daily essence exchange time, implying they might be 'awakened' to some extent.

Bakerdea

Wow! This all happened really fast, I like that. I could see another story dragging this bit out by quite a bit, but I suppose we already did this type of thing two times in the previous places. Makes sense that they would be familiar with the process.

Doodlyboy15

The nature mage is being initiated into the ways of rain. He'll report to bakal that the captain of ascension is a chatterbox that asks questions non-stop.

That Purify spell is getting scarier by the day. Destroying something just because it 'Isn't normally found here' is legitimately horrifying.

Makes you wonder if Rain went through enough mental gymnastics, would he be able to see enemies as “filth?” Makes you think purify could be super dangerous in the hands of a high ranking misanthrope. Even just devastating the bacteria colonies in someone’s body can screw them over, albeit in a subtle and probably not immediate way (or maybe it would? Not like I’ve seen any “what happens if the bacteria in your body goes poof” around). Still best spell ever

Ascension has grown up. Competent leaders and members. Strong enough to project force for control and able to get stuff done, lots of help for the city.
