Jeno

Serena

I need eps 2-4 asap! :)

Peta McGrath

Agnes actress is Zoè de Grand’Maison. She looks really similar to Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) but has actually been in Riverdale and Orphan Black.

Peta McGrath

Ope, should have kept watching, you worked it out.

Karyna Pantielieieva

Finally! Thank you for the reaction! Will wait for another episodes 🫶

its so rough the whole “we were on a break” thing because belly says it was just a fight but doesn’t seem like they communicated whether or not they were on a break. that’s why i feel like “breaks” are something that really needs deep conversations before you decide /: belly is valid for her crashout tho, i think if he told her immediately, they could’ve maybe talked it through

cat doggy

very excited for you guys to watch the next eps lol

graciela perez

Agreed. I think another element of the crash out beyond the were they/weren’t they on a break (very similar to the Friends debate) is the idea that if you are so in love with this other person, why is it the second you two “aren’t together anymore” do you then go and hookup with someone else?

Katherine Strohm

I disagree with people that say this is Jeremiah character assassination, I think out of the two brothers he has always been the more immature and selfish one. I think Conrad's biggest crime was being upset that his mom was dying and not being in a good place for Belly.

TOLUWANIMI RUFAI

I'm going to say this like assassinated Jeremiah's character I'm stand by that I don't care what y'all say especially in this final season they really said we love Conrad more so we're just going to destroy belly and Jeremiah and have that

That’s not my name

So a bit more context on the timing of this season cause I get why y’all are confused: the episode starts with her entering college so a year has gone by since the end of season two because the 2nd season was during the summer before her senior year (although the flashbacks make it confusing). Then it just immediately jumps to the end of her junior year of college and what was supposed to be the end of Jeremiah‘s senior year so yes, in total four years have passed. Also, I used to do college advising and yea Jeremiah could’ve easily just taken his courses in the summer (depending on how many needed) and graduated in August but that’s not as compelling of a story I guess lol Excited to watch this last season with y’all!

Emmi

well it happens in the books ....

Emmi

Jeremiah " cheating " is Incredibly in character imo. He was always immature and impulsive and in season 1 he was getting with everyone at the start of summer and Steven says he always does that . It isn't " character assinating " it's a natural progression of his character that people don't like

Emmi

In my opinion, even if you both knew it was a for-real breakup ( Belly defo didn't), sleeping with someone when you know you will try to get back together is still cheating to me. If Jeremiah didn't think it was cheating, he wouldn't have ushered her away from Lacey and got weird when Belly brought up Steven and Taylor cheating

pinkpatreon

It feels like character assassination because it takes a briefly mentioned character trait (in the show) and blows it up to full on cheating without ANY development or understanding of the circumstances that led him there. They do this in favor of a cliffhanger and big reveal for episode two, but the fact is: Jeremiah, while fluid and a flirt, was never shown to truuuuly be a cheater until the very end of this episode - which takes place after them being together for YEARS!!! So despite retroactive justifications for his actions, as far as the show and writing is concerned, him cheating on her feels out of left field. They could showed up the scenario leading up to the cheating, but they wanted to save that for episode two… and by the time we get to this BIG REVEAL that’s supposed to explain why he did what we did… Benji and I were EXTREMELY underwhelmed with the world’s lamest couple argument lol

Emmi

Yeah honestly, that totally makes sense how you guys came to that conclusion the way the show chose to structure the scenes was clearly just for the shock factor. I think because it was a double episode drop, I kinda forgot how little buildup there actually was in episode 1. I rewatched ep 2 after your video and WOW they really held back a ton i of important context in the first one. Completely get where you were coming from, and I’m so excited to hear your thoughts as the season goes on. As someone who’s read the books, this season is straight-up CHAOS 😭. Love you guys X

Please remember this is a show! Not only is it a show, it is a show produced by soulless conglomerate. That is not to say we can't all enjoy something fun in these times, but to remember that the people and companies creating these products are NOT ALWAYS ENGAGING in good faith dynamics. This show THRIVES off of Team Jeremiah vs. Team Conrad discourse. It was literally created to put us as viewers in camps and it does not care if we turn on each other so long as the episodes are watched and Amazon Prime Executives make their money. None of these characters are real people and this is a show that should be enjoyable regardless. While Conrad, Jeremiah or Belly all share reflections of real world people and situations - liking them or finding one character more interesting than the other is NOT a reflection of who a viewer is personally. Benji is allowed to playfully disregard Conrad as a character because he A: Doesn't find the actor that attractive, B: Finds the way the character was written to be insufferable (despite valid reasons for a real person to possibly act the same), and C: Benji is having fun and this TV is just a show he's watching with his best friend - a best friend who lost his OWN mom and who Benji has personal history with and comprehends the weight that person (me) carries. I (Rizzo) am allowed to disregard BOTH options as I am a 33-year-old man who doesn't feel like ragging on two teenage-characters/young adult actors - and because the show is ridiculously written and doesn't have these characters making decisions that resemble anything other than a mixed bag of traits meant to maintain the versus discourse. In real life, these men would be traumatized, narcissistic, wealthy a-holes who probably would have long forgotten about Belly. In TV, they are fun characters we get to watch make a collection of weird and entertaining decisions. They are not real people with real lived history so I won't be judging them as such! Let's try to all have fun and remember: While Amazon doesn't care if we fight or are nasty with each other, Benji and I do. We love seeing your comments - whether Team Jeremiah, Conrad, Belly, etc. - and we hope we can foster an environment to all watch this show in good faith. Thank you. Sweet Dreams, and Keep Watching. Josiah J. Rizzo

Honestly, this is what I paid for. I literally just watched s02 but I enjoyed that recap. I'm confused about the study abroad thing. In the UK system (and Europe generallly) study abroad is always your 2nd or 3rd year of uni and it always automatically turns ur 3-year degree into a 4-year one. Is this not the same/similar in America?

scarletbabushka

Benji did a great job explaining S02, Rizzo you needed to watch a recap silly :P

Tito

I refuse to the the 'he tickled her belly' comment pass.... be better 😹😁😋🙈

Valor Morghulis

A lot of people think it’s character assassination, but this is completely in character for Jeremiah. S1 ep 1 Jeremiah pointed out four people he had hooked up with so far that summer, we again see him at a party S1 ep 3 and he was kissing 2 people. Then we get to s2 ep 8 where Conrad said Jeremiah hooked up with the total of seven people in season one and that’s not including belly

Yadira Cano Camacho

I love the nuance yall bring to this show!! I completely agree with the Jere-Belly break discussion. So many people hate on both of them for the situation 😭😭 Like 4 years is a long time but everyone processes break ups differently! And for sure the communication is the key problem for every conflict in this show 😂😂

Pauli

No wonder you are team Jeremiah, you don't even pay attention to the details of what's going onnnnn 😭💀

Pauli

Jeremiah was exactly like this since season 1 😂

Pauli

Exactly. How is it that disrespect is so normalized in these situations? And why did he hide it if it "meant nothing". He's selfish.

Isis 🖤

Just wanted to say, #1 Benji super appreciate the recap, you did great and #2 I don’t think I would’ve been able to get through this show this long without you guys. 🖤
