Ok so my little brother terrorized me just as much as this little shit did Anna (and my boomer parents took his side constantly because boy and also they couldn't be bothered to pay attention to the reason WHY I was pummeling him) and that's why this movie spoke to me so MUCH as a 24 year old. Also because I responded exactly like Anna did by random acts of violence. The 90s were a time. Anyway my point is that this shit happened constantly to many people other than me so this actually is super accurate for the time. Also, I spent most of my junior and senior years of high school without a door in an 1800 square foot house. Because I slammed it a couple of times. So that part really hit home, too.

I loved this movie and am so excited to watch this reaction! I wish you'd watch the o.g. too. I haven’t seen it since I was a kid on VHS but it was a good time from what I remember. but I'm sure there'd be some problematic stuff in it; disney in the 60/70s? 😬 (Pretty sure it was part of my queer/bi awaking though. Lol.) I can't wait for the NEW sequel. The promos have been delightful.

I’m not even exaggerating when I say I know this movie so well. It’s ingrained in me. I used to have a purple Disney Mix Max, which was a video/music player where you’d get these little chips that had movies on them & you would insert them into it. Freaky Friday was one of the movies I got as a gift. I would watch that movie so much that I eventually learned every word of it. 😅 this movie is very special to me & I feel like I wouldn’t be me without it.

So ur saying in the reboot, the Chinese people who run the Chinese restaurant should have American accents because it's racist for them to be too Chinese sounding.... this is why people don't make good movies anymore (like this one)... thank you moral arbiter Rizzo

Why, because they listened to Chinese people on how to depict Chinese people more realistically?

Because this movie is based in realism....mind you these actors, who were Chinese and one of them owns a Chinese restaurant in real life were okay reading the script and portraying these characters, in a comedy movie.

It's okay Rizzo gets to feel like the straight white knight correcting the Chinese actors choice from 2003 because it's not okay to make jokes about their own race/actual lived experiences in 2025 we need to see some compassion
