Old post, but I think IF you really want to watch a Bollywood Movies I think a great way is to start with 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...' ('Sometimes Happiness, Sometimes Sadness...'). This movie was my introduction to Bollywood movies when they were huge in Germany and this movie was a big success bag then. It's not as bombastic as Bollywood movies rigth now and has more of an oldschool feeling, but still huge in comparison to Hollywood movies. It's just a beautiful movie about family and what that means. And of course a lot of singing and dancing. :)
