A lot of people seem to support Logan with Hannah on first watch, but to me, he’s just like Justin. Didn’t even bother with her until she was “with” Garrett despite knowing her since freshman year (when he fixed her car). Although Garrett didn’t notice her until recently, once he did, he was locked in and his feelings and actions towards her have grown immensely. My theory is the only reason he hooked up with that girl this episode is because he was hurt Hannah was blowing him off for Justin. He regretted it instantly which is why he tried so hard to convince her to stay after that. I think you’ll realize pretty quickly here who is the right guy for Hannah 🥰. Loving your reactions!

I feel like there was a missed opportunity to sing Escape (yknow the pina colada song) for her karaoke. I'm genuinely confused about how 'sweet like cherry pie' is relevant. Did they mention that at some point?

It’s the song that’s playing in Garrett’s room when she walks in on him with another girl earlier in the episode. That’s why she starts off the song with “Oh 💩 Graham, you know this one?” She’s teasing him. Also, in the book, Garrett is always commenting how Hannah smells like cherries, so I think the whole thing is also kind of an Easter egg for that.

But didn't she kiss him? Even though he noticed her, I don't think he approached her until she decided to kiss him in the locker room. Hannah had fantasies of Justin, but literally the only reason he even looked at her was because of Garret. I never read the books so maybe there's something I'm missing about it, but as someone who just came into the show fresh, I thought it was possible that Logan may not have approached her because he was too shy to make a move, or never thought they would work out. But then she kissed him.

I agree I love Logan and like how they're setting up Hannah as another element in the "reasons Logan resents Garrett" saga. You guys were kind of chatting it up while this was happening but in this episode when Jules is talking to Garrett about the Liquid IV sponsorship Logan was like "thanks man but I don't need the charity" and his sibling was like "yeah you do."

She did kiss him to “prove” a point to Garrett (in the book she actually kisses Dean, not Logan). However, if you pay close attention, Logan shows a tick of jealousy as soon as Garrett shows interest in Hannah at the block party, which was before the kiss which leans into him only wanting her because Garrett does. In my personal opinion, he could have approached her at any time before that, but chose not to feel anything until Garrett did. He doesn’t seem lacking in confidence and is good looking, on the hockey team etc so it would presumably be no issue for him to at the very least engage in a conversation with her if he really had wanted to. This is all personal opinion though. In the books, there is a crush situation, but Logan didn’t even meet her there until she was already Garrett’s tutor. So, the history of it all is a show adaptation change.
