Another controversial opinion incoming... BENJI HATES THE ENDING OF THIS FILM! Wonder why? Don't worry! He'll rant about it at the beginning! In fact, we BOTH had a lot to say at the start of this so skip ahead to 9:35 if you want to jump straight into the movie...

... that inferno scene still fucks me up!

"So long, Partner." X'''( It's the perfect last line of the franchise! The moral is LITERALLY learning how to be thankful for the time together and LET GO! Sorry I just can't watch 4...I need to keep this in my heart as the end. I was also 17ish when this came out planning to leave for college so maybe it just hit me different. Even just knowing the plot points of 4 and now 5 makes me irrationally upset.

try watching it with an open mind, because "letting go" also means us allowing these characters to move on and the themes that they explore in 4 and 5 are phenomenal and are much better at articulating a toy's place in the world than 2 and 3 (imo)

Gay Andy would never! I made sure my cousin had the full backstory for all my dolls before passing them on. I see you Benji!

Toy Story 3 is the one I watched the most because they showed it a lot of Disney channel. P.S. loved the open argument between you too 😂😂

I find it so funny that you guys debated over Andy not giving away his toys, but he literally gave all of them away except the core characters 😆 I think the reality is that Andy was in it for the long haul because he was a kid and none of the toys had any experience with their child getting older except Jessie who knew this day would come. By the time Andy is older, all his toys have been given away and his little sister even gave up Bo Peep and Barbie. I doubt she would have treated his toys well. It's just the natural way of things. Most adults don't keep all of their toys, but Andy is still special because he cared enough to keep the core and gave them to a little girl who seemed to have the same imagination he did as a kid. I do completely get where you guys are coming from though

not gonna lie im on Benji's side.....Andy had a little sister and it makes sense that he would give them to her. most of my toys went to my little cousin who loved barbie dolls and cars. I get why you'd be upset with the ending especially because Toy Story 2 was setting this system up but at least he gave them to a kid compared to just giving them to a thrift store or throwing them away! it still tugs at my heartstrings but the barbie/ken scene makes me LAUGHHHHHHHH SO MUCH. love you guys and the content!!!!! it feels like I'm with two best friends and I just want to yell with along with you

This was the first and only Toy Story I watched in theaters with my family. I remember being so excited to see it and my heart got crushed at the dumpster scene. I was crying so hard my dad got worried and was going to take me out the theaters but then they got rescued. Fortunately, my little sister was 6 and she didn't understand it fully but she started to get scared seeing me cry like that. I also got really creeped out by the monkey, the clown in Bonnie's room, and the big baby doll. Then I bawled my eyes out when Andy gave up his toys to Bonnie. I remember my parents taking us to get ice cream afterwards and we built a little fort in the living room and watched Winnie the Pooh on VHS 😂 Talk about core memories right there.

I don’t like this Toy Story but it’s the one that I know best because it scarred me for life because I’d never felt so betrayed before in my life.
