I have come to more fully appreciate that what I discussed last time was just dungeon turns from very early DnD with a different name and a few tweaks. Well, it just means that particular idea of how to implement scope has precedent, and that’s good to know.

The Survival Sphere is here, and it’s changed a bit.

Tool use has been folded into it, and herbalism will be as well probably, as soon as I’m sure what parts go there as opposed to the new medicine and cooking spheres.

A lot of these changes are simply importing information on how survival works, like from Pathfinder 1e, but this is also part of my experimenting with scope. If I’ve done this right, there should be enough rules here that, if you want to do a survival-themed game where gathering food and building shelters and tracking animals and hunting for trophies is fully explained, you can do so to your hearts content without vague rules getting in your way. However, if you want to care about it less, it should be intuitive enough that you can make it less of a focus without the rules getting in your way either, just making a few rolls and that’s it.

You all can let me know if you think I’ve succeeded or not; your feedback is invaluable to making something like this work the further we stray from the more familiar paths.
