####### EPISODE SPOILER REVIEW BELOW! APPARENTLY SOME OF YOU ARE WATCHING FOR THE FIRST TIME ALONG SIDE ME, SO PLEASE DON'T READ BEYOND THIS POINT UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN THE EPISODE YOURSELF! ######

------

Really liked this one!! Angel seems to do a great job at heist episodes! XD And this is no exception!

Really like the set up of having the end at the start, so you just wait for what Wesley said to happen!

Going to be very interesting to see how Kate feels about Angel going forward. It could have gone either way! 0_0

Hope you guys are having a great week!

As always, if you click the video just after this post, you may need to  download it first.  This should be fixed in a couple of hours!

"I'm getting sick of this 'Vampires killed my sister' song...don't you know any other, maybe MacArthur Park?" Interstingly, a completely mental song originally sung by the original Dumbledore, Richard Harris- Someone left the cake out in the rain, I don't think that I can take it, Because it took so long to bake it, And I'll never have that recipe again! Love to hear Angel sing that at the demon karaoke bar! XD

On the Donald Sutherland front, I recommend The Hunger Games series and JFK - he’s not got a large part in this one but it’s a really good film with a great cast. They couldn’t have guests at the hotel unless they knew about the supernatural world, that would just cause a lot of trouble. I’m not a big Tarantino fan but out of the ones I’ve seen, I like Pulp Fiction the best. I like Samuel L Jackson and Harvey Keitel’s characters in it.

Kiefer Sutherland was a vampire in The Lost Boys, an iconic movie for bringing the vampire genre to younger audiences before Buffy. If you want to watch any other creepy, spooky movies with Donald Sutherland, give Don't Look Now from 1973 a try. It's a horror mystery thriller kind of thing. That spiny demon was Tony Todd, Worf's Klingon brother in Star Trek TNG and DS9, he starred in Candyman and the 1990 Night of the Living Dead remake.

Funnily enough, one day I was watching a show that had both Kate and yucky Parker in it. That same day, I realized someone at my company is named Riley Somers. That made a chuckle a bit inside.

In addition to others recommendations, Donald Sutherland was in the excellent sci-fi/horror ‘Invasion of the Body Snatchers’. The 1970s version. The original from the 1950s was pretty good too, but I think the one with him was the best. And if you want a real tearjerker drama, he was in ‘Ordinary People’. Very good (even won best picture Oscar), but a really hard watch because it’s so sad.

I don't think Cordy or Wesley know that Angel fed on Buffy. They weren't at the hospital when Angel "confesses" to it.

The demon who seemed familiar to you is played by horror icon Tony Todd, most famous for his roles in Candyman and the Final Destination films. I always thought it was wild that such a well-known actor was in this episode buried under prosthetics to the point of being unrecognisable. As you pointed out though, his voice is still very distinctive - he actually played the voice of Venom in the latest Spider-Man 2 game. I enjoy this episode, even if it's not one of my favourites of the season. A heist episode is always fun, and it's great to see David Boreanaz (pronounced Bore-ee-ah-nez lol) cut loose. In regard to the watch order, I know it's not ideal to have a big block of episodes of one show, but there's usually a good reason and this upcoming block is no exception, and it's counter-balanced later with some big blocks of Buffy.
