Hi guys! Sorry, this is later than expected. Had a very bad week! Here is your chance to suggest scenes from the book that did not make it into the movie!

Because this is late, I do need you to get your suggests in pretty soon! ALSO, please do look over other people's comments! If they have already suggested the one/ones you wanted, you can simply 'like' their comment! :)

Also, please leave it to scenes you actually WANTED to be in the movie, not just any scene that was missing (regardless of how much you would have wanted to see it). This way, we will only have options for scenes people want! :)

I'll get the poll out in the coming days, based on the suggestions!

Thanks guys!! Hope your week goes well!

Hope this week will treat you better 🫶🏻 I would have loved to see the hospital wing scene (second to last chapter) in the movie! It just adds on so much..

Steven

Skrewts! Not every scene with them but at least one would have been nice

Jacob sparks

Would have been great to see the Bagmen storyline but I understand why it was cut. The thing I think is missing is Harry giving the twins the winnings. Then you can have a line in 5 about them using the money to sell at school and a line in 6 basically have them thank Harry because it's what leads to the shop.

🎶 WHAT'S WRONG HEEERE?🎶 Dobby and Winky being absent is! I want to see him wearing tea cosies for days!

Huldra Draco

the actual maze challenges, with screwts and sfinx and the other things they had to overcome in there. not just moving hedges..

Marianne

The Rita Skeeter mystery!

.

The chapter with Rita Skeeter in Hermione's jar is WILD. I would've loved the movie to show how unhinged Hermione can be xD There's a reason why she's part of the trio

Andrew K

The whole Quidditch World Cup campsite scene - all the different cultures and countries coming together

Katie

- The Weasleys picking Harry up from the Burrow - Rita as an animagus - Barty Crouch family storyline including Winky - Ludo Bagman - Dobby - The scene with Dumbledore and the trio in Hagrid's cabin - Harry giving his winning to the twins - Sirius and Harry with Dumbledore in his office at the end - Hospital wing scene at the end - The actual Quidditch World Cup game If only the director had read the book, maybe some of these scenes/characters would have been included. It's also a shame he didn't listen to Alfonso Cuaron when he advised him to split the movie into two parts

Alias93

- The end of The Egg and the Eye chapter (when Harry gets stuck in the stairs and is almost found by Filch and Snape) - Harry and Krum finding Crouch Sr near the forest - The actual trial scenes - The full interrogation scene

emmainkeri

Does the entire plot and main mystery of the book count? The Crouch family storyline? - Crouch Senior's mysterious illness/imprisonment - Junior's trial and "death", his escape from Azkaban - Junior's detailed confession at the end of the book - Junior receiving the Dementor's Kiss

Vic

I have to pick chapter 4 back to burrow when Arthur, Ron and the twins go to collect Harry from the Dursleys. I would loved to have seen Arthur destroying the Dursley’s living room and Vernon loosing it and throwing all his ornaments at Arthur. Does really add much to the overall story (such as including winky or all of the Rita storylines) but I just really enjoyed that chapter.

Sorry you had a bad week! The scene I most wish was in the movie would be some version of the hospital wing scene at the end. It wouldn't need to have everything but at least Dumbledore and Fudge's interaction and maybe Snape being sent on his mission would be enough for me. The Sphinx in the 3rd task is a close second for me.

Garfnob

anything even referencing SPEW the train ride home (including Rita's capture)

Marc Post Jr

I will never forgive them for removing the Quidditch World Cup match.

Mel

The trio visit Sirius in the cave where he and Buck are hiding.

Alias93

It's nearly been 20 years and I'm still not over it.

Yankee Veg

Voted above with a ❤️, but I just wanted to wish you a better week. Be kind to yourself.

Robert Brown

Apart from everything lol, The part where Dumbldoor explains Priori incantatem and the reason for Harry’s and Voldemort’s wand connecting. I know they touch on it in the film but in a way that didn’t really explain anything.

S1lm4r1l

My bad Mel, didn't see your comment.

Mel

No worries at all.

Zachary Wynn

The whole parting of ways chapter easily

Louisa

Don't forget Winky! ❤️

Judith

Agreed! It would explain the whole thing with Fudge in the next movie and why he is such an ass!

Garry (Not Jerry)

I mean I can’t believe no one else said it but… Dumbledore said CALMLY 😌 (Not just because it’s a meme, but I think it’s a very important character trait in Dumbledore that he is always calm and measured - unless in extreme circumstances. The portrayal of his character is missing from the movie)

John Phillips

Others have mentioned some major scenes that should've been in the movies, which I agree with, so I'll mention a smaller but one of my favorite character moments that wasn't in the movie, which is Ginny standing up to Harry and Ron when they were having a laugh about Neville.

Ziro the Hutt

People make too much of that scene, it matters not a jot in the scale of things.

itz_Cherise

Hey Veggie! I hope you and Woozle are well! 💜 At the very least, I think the Parting of the Ways chapter is just so impactful, it needs to be seen. It sets up the Ministry's behavior in Order of the Phoenix, which seems a bit jarring to me otherwise. BUT, I'd love to see Hermione brandishing the jar with Rita the beetle inside, & the lovely hug Molly gives Harry, but those are just the sprinkles and the cherry on top lol

Garry (Not Jerry)

To me it is one example of the bigger picture that is the mischaracterisation of Dumbledore. And yes, this specific scene is so egregious that it is more infuriating than any other to me.

Marie-Louise

Others have said it, but Mostly better explanations about the final battle and peoples choices in this and the next movie. For example Fudge, or more in depth scenes about Snape/Moody/Karkaroff. And a bit more background on Junior. Everything was kind of eluded to in the movie, but non-book readers didn't get proper explanations. Anything about SPEW, Winky or Rita the Beetle would have been nice, but I guess at least they left them out completely, so movie-first watchers (myself included) didn't know what they were missing.

Robert Brown

Yeah, I remember after going to see the film with friends I had to explain what happened because I was the only one who had read the book 😁👍

SapientButterfly

The scene with the Pensieve how it really was in the book. The three courtroom scenes, and how Harry doesn't find out then about Barty Crouch Jr's name so the mystery continues. And the revelation about Neville and his parents.

Karen

For sure the pensive scene. It gives more detail and shows how twisted death eaters are. Poor Alice and Frank Longbottom. Also I have to mention Rita being a beetle, I was so shocked when I found that out!!!

Maddie

The flashback 50 yrs ago when the Riddles were found dead and Frank seeing "a dark haired teenage boy". I think that scene will add a more sinister vibe.

Raider Max

Part of me wants the real trial, but deep down I want to see Hagrid putting Karkaroff in his place.
