SPOILER ALERT! - If you have not watched the show before, don't read the following review until you have! :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brilliant start to the second 2! You can definitely see the improvement in quality, as well as people getting minor design changes.

I think I am going to love every episode that Azula is in! What a great introduction, and I love that she BARELY uses her suprerer Bending skills while fighting Zuzu..... I MEAN ZUKO!!!

Iroh just gets more and more interesting to me. Oh, and Aang's story here is excellent too! XD But this was definitely a Zuzu episode.

... Zuko...

As discussed, it may be a little longer in between this and the start of the next Book, but I will make sure not to keep you waiting too long! :)

Hope you had a great week, guys!!

YES!!!! LETS GO! AZULA IS MY FAVVVV!

Things are getting juicy!!!❤️ I love the cinematography of the fight(s). The way it kept transitioning from one fight to the next was so flawless and beautiful. The fact that they incorporated Zuko and Iroh cutting of their top knot is so clever! As I mentioned before, the fire nation is inspired by feudal Japan. In traditional japanese (and especially Samurai) culture hair is very important and carries a lot of symbolic importance. They would literally cut of their top knot to symbolize their banishment or loss of honor - those two doing that is them literally acknowledging that they won't be going back!

Soo excited for this book! Every episode just gets better and better. I LOVE Azula. Can't wait for you to see more of her! One sad thing about this season is that Iroh's voice actor, Mako Iwamatsu, passed away from cancer at the end of the season 💔

Steven

YESSSS! You've finally met Azula, probably my tied-favourite character in the show. She's just such a badass and just steals every scene she's in!

Lord-LemonHead

I think it's safe to say now that Azula is my favorite character from the show overall. Don't want to spoil anything but I always enjoy her scenes the most.

Deadshot1999

From book 1 my favorite episode is either "the blue spirit" or "the Siege of the North Part 2"

Nelly

Just like many of the others here, I love Azula 😁 Mostly because I find her behavior towards the people around her very interesting. It is even more "impressive" (?) when you think about the fact that she only 14 years old 😱

loftypenalty91

Zuko definitely was being naive believing Azula so easily, but at the same time, this is what he's been working towards for the last 3 years. Also, if I remember correctly, ponytails are a sign of nobility in the Fire Nation. So, Zuko and Iroh cutting off their ponytails was them leaving the Fire Nation behind at least for now and hiding their identities.

I love Azula like so many others... You still have an amazing character in wait - and I have no doubt that *you* in particular are going to love the introduction episode of that character 😁

jolt45

Clicked on this one so fast. You accepted lightning bending way more fluidly than most people, lol.

Yea like I said in the first episode you reacted to, Iroh is my overall favorite through the seasons, there's just something about that wise old man that warms my heart, but I totally have respect for you choosing Zuko, sometimes the bad guys are just way more interesting and hes a great choice. My favorite from team avatar is katara though as I always wanted to be a water bender and related to her a lot. Glad you enjoyed Azulas introduction.

Jake M

Was "invested in" or "enamoured with" the word you were looking for? I think my favourite character was Miss Calendar. Oh wait, wrong show.

Celle

Back Home now since I helped a friend moving today. I was so excited the whole day for your reaction 🤗 Edit: It really is a great start to book 2. And I totally understand why Zuko is your favourite character. For me it is Iroh but of course since he is linked to Zuko, Zuko is in the top for me as well. I can't wait for you to unfold the next stories in this book. It is so good. Have a great weekend Veggie!

CR Ash

God I love this episode, I prefer the lightheartedness of Season 1 but Season 2 is definitely way better!!

LouShirley

Resisting the urge to watch this now, at nearly 1am 🤣

Maia Brodsky

I was going to suggest 'invested in,' as that seemed to be the sentiment he was describing.

Maia Brodsky

We actually learned of Kyoshi (the Earthbending Avatar who preceded Roku) already, in Book 1 ep 4, 'The Warriors of Kyoshi.' It's the episode when they traveled to Kyoshi Island and met Suki and the other Kyoshi Warriors, who agreed to teach Sokka their fighting techniques after he humbled himself. I'm sure you remember that one well, considering how much you seemed to like Suki. <3

Logical Dreamer

Zuko is the best-written character in the show, and I would say he has one of the best character arcs in modern animation. Iroh, for me, is the best character. The one we need to protect at all costs.

BakaSama

Admiral Zhao was the series starter villain and Azula is on a whole different level. As has been already mentioned Book 2 will see the introduction of a great new character and one I’m sure you’ll enjoy not just as a character, but also the episode they’re formally introduced.

Lukas

A thought just came to me when you mentioned what a kind of great enemy Admiral Zhao has been for Book 1 and were wondering what would happen now that he's gone. It's a strange connection via his voice actor, Jason Isaacs. Zhao kind of was the Lucius Malfoy of Avatar, a real big nuissance early on. But now we're getting to the proper bad guy, the dark - eh - fire lord! Oh, another strange thought: If there was an evil Avatar who overthrew all of Air nomads, Water tribes, Earth kingdom and Fire nation, what would his new realm be called? - The Avatar state! :P
