Hi guys! Right off the bat, I want to thank you all so much for getting your votes in at such short notice! :) It was a close run thing between The Grinch and Elf, but The Grinch held it's lead the whole time!THAT BEING SAID!! - Depending on my health and how fast I can get the edits done.. I 'may' be able to get you an '2nd place' Christmas Movie reaction (I can't promise sorry, but I will see what I can get done).

As for those who voted for other movies, I hope this isn't too disappointing. I think next year we may split the Christmas poll into classics (say, pre-90s?) and Modern, so there is more of a chance of older movies getting covered. Let me know what you think about this!NOW! On to important matters... I have to be 100% honest with you guys...I REALLY want to watch the original 1966 version of the Grinch (26 minutes). Now, this is not a 'movie', but I have looked at my week's schedule and I should be able to get you both a Movie version AND the 1966 version. This leads into an important question - If I watch the 1966 version FIRST, will it spoil/ruin my reaction to the Movie version? Is it best I do it the other way around? To me, it makes sense I would check out the original first, but I have no idea if that is advised or not.

And now on to the poll - Of the movie versions, which would you MOST want to see (naturally, you can only vote for one, here XD).

I guess it would spoil the basic premise of the Grinch, but I figured you knew the basic premise anyway. One of those 'pop culture things you picked up from somewhere' kinda things. I watched the cartoon as a child and it didn't ruin my enjoyment of the live action film when it came out. People watch that version for Jim Carrey's performance. That's what makes it.

I think the original cartoon is a prerequisite to the masterpiece of the 2000 movie. In my opinion, seeing the OG will only add to the care they took to enhance the classic story so many grew up on

I’ve never seen the original cartoon so I’m excited to watch it with you. The story of the grinch is a timeless story. I don’t think seeing the original will ruin any other version for you. We all love Jim Carrey’s version mostly for how quotable it is lol. My wife and I quote it year round.

I would vote that you watch the original cartoon first, before watching either more recent version. The newer versions reference the original, so it makes sense to know what they’re referencing, so you can be in on the joke. 😊

The original cartoon is a must-watch first imo. It is a very faithful adaptation of Seuss' book (almost word-for-word) and given how short it is you won't be adding much to your recording schedule. The Jim Carrey version adds more to the story, with several other characters being added that play active roles in the plot vs. the original.
