I'm pretty sure the end of this episode was one of the moments in my youth where my Mama ran into the living room, cause she thought something bad happened to me - I was yelling at the TV and then at her that they cannot kill Iroh!

Mattoys

Sokka the Backbender. The most powerful bending ability in this show 😂😂

Hey Veggie! Amazing reaction as always! Btw, not sure if you've seen, but they released the teaser for Netflix's Avatar series Season 2. I'm not sure if I recommend you watch it, as there may be spoilers, but I do recommend you search for pictures of Toph, as I feel like the actress they got to play her is perfect, and I'm curious about your opinion! It's actually the first live-action Toph as the movie only adapted Book 1.

This is not explained anywhere in the show, only in thw accompanying books so I feel ok telling you. Zukos mom was engaged to someone she loved dearly, Ozai saw her, decided he wamted her, took her from her village and brought her to the palace and told her NEVER to speak of her family, fiance or past again this was her life now. She was incredibly abused

Hi Veggie! Great reaction as always. I love that episode. It's realistic that the Gaang fights and it's good to see that and how they made up again. It is so satisfying to see Iroh and Zuko fighting alongside the gaang, it's like the season 1 finale where Iroh is with Sokka, katara and Yue at the pond after Zhao killed the moon spirit. It just feels right. After season 1 you asked what our favourite character is and I told you it would be Iroh. Maybe I was biased since I already knew book 2 and 3 as well. But moments like Toph and Iroh is my reason which I cannot ignore. I believe everyone needs and deserve an Iroh in their life. Someone who listens and just be there to comfort you and tells you the truth you maybe don't want to here. And everytime I see Iroh on the screen (with Toph here or with Zuko in other parts of the story like in The Storm or the episode in season 2 where Zuko left him), I feel better. I know he is not giving me personally adivse but I feel like he is just there if I need help. I just love him. And don't worry Veggie, like Iroh said: Never give in to despair! Hope you will be better soon. Have a great week!

Slight correction: Ozai never wanted her! He was ordered by his father to marry her for reasons we will not disclose in the comments yet ;) you're right about the rest though...

13 mins in, episode hasnt started and ive already got about 4 comments to make and one of them could turn into several long paragraphs about game of thrones 🤣 ill try to summarise my thoughts into a sensibly sized comment after episode and dinner

Jes

I dont consider this a spoiler, its never explained in the series, and Veggie has now seen these characters

loftypenalty91

Another fantastic reaction. I've been loving your reactions so far. The full details of what happened the night Zuko's mom disappeared aren't told in the show. I've never actually read the books myself, but there are books that you can read after watching ATLA that give all of the details of what happened that night, as well as a lot of other stories.

Iroh is my favorite character I say it all the time, he is so damn wise I love him helping toph when shes on her own here. He makes me want to tear up as well.

Kael Johnsen

Yes it was something tp tske notice on that they where zooming in on her feet when iroh was down, but i wont say what. Its not a spoiler, and not something you couldnt guess yet, but i wont say what it was, most of the people who have watched the whole show wouldnt know it either.

Sorry my typing is not good on this new phone keyboard

Veggie mentioned considering doing a book club on the stories, so reading the comic and discussing it. Don´t know if he would read the paper format or digital format. or maybe even react to the animated youtube one were they put all panels together and voiced over the dialogue. Would be neat to be that one.

This episode really showcases Aang’s bravery, naïveté and optimism by getting in between two angry girls and telling them to calm down lol Also Re: Sokka x Ty Lee Shipping. I don’t know how popular it is, but if I’ve learned anything from fandoms, it’s that if two characters exist someone somewhere has shipped them.

The Turkey episode was British! Never underestimate our willingness to cheat XD. Family Fortunes bloopers are some of my favourites. "Name something that would frighten Dracula" "Bob Monkhouse." 🤣

Declan

You absolutely clocked it with 'Ozai's Angels'. That's actually the fandom name for Azula's trio!

VeggieGamer

Really? I always thought they has Aussie accents! XD That is cool!

Jake M

The host at the time , Max Bygraves, was an English entertainer who worked in Australia, so you're not completely wrong!

Jake M

Ok, so Google says he's English and only moved to Australia in 2008...so I have no idea why he has such a weird accent XD

Jake M

Zula's nickname is ZuZu? Sounds like a Sim saying hello XD it was nice of the siblings to use different coloured fire to help us distinguish whose was whose! XD

Margarita Pizza

I love the conversation between Toph and Iroh. It reveals so much about both of their characters. So sorry to hear you've been poorly, Veggie! Please take care of yourself. As much as we love to see you, your health and mental well-being are always more important than these videos.

Madikuma95

"Ozai's Angels", I love it! 😂

Erica

This is at least my 3rd re-watch of this show and I just now understood it myself

Erica

I'm so glad Toph met Iroh here. It feels like she's fought so long against the idea of needing other people's help that she's deemed it a character flaw, not just in herself but in others as well. And you can't blame her, she's lived a very sheltered and lonely life with no examples of true community, it's such a new thing for her. It makes Iroh's "I poured your tea for you simply because I wanted to" moment feel like such a game-changer. And as for Iroh, I love that he is wise and humble enough to recognize that this child he just met also said what he needed to hear. We don't really know (perhaps we never will?) how long it's been since he's had someone that he can lean or rely on. This entire show we've only seen him as the one giving all the support. Had something else to say, totally got distracted by work and forgot what it was lol

Logical Dreamer

Zuko may be my favorite character, but Iroh is the best character of the whole show.
