Hi guys! First off, I want to confirm we WILL be covering the 3rd Pirates movie soon!! So sorry for the wait! This reaction was a seperate 'paid for' reaction, but the Poll will continue to be the main place were we decide movies from! I will arrange details for how you to can request a bought for reaction soon (be warned, it can't be cheap because of the time and focus they take. So sorry in advance).

This is the movie I knew the LEAST about going in, and I am so glad that was the case! Because it completely blew my mind!! Such a beautiful story with a beautiful message!

And on top of that.. a couple of voice actors I DEFINITELY wasn't expecting! XD

Love you, guys! I mentioned in a recent vlog that we may start to occasionally do these kinds of 'paid for' movie reactions, so I hope it is ok, and it will never replace the poll, which will continue to be the main place we decide what to do next! :)

I have watched this once, i cant remember really what happens but i remember it was quite an emotional experience, i wish i could remember why but something resonated with me due to being a struggling performing musician. I look forward to watching it again with you later in the week

Soul is good but i think the reason it is less well known is Pixar is usually associated with making "kids" films when actually it usually makes films for all ages to enjoy. But Soul is perhaps the only one which children connect less to (and in my experience find a little boring) but adults young and old can really connect strongly to the message and exploration the film does.

I am so glad you went in completely blind! Such a meaningful, life-affirming movie🥲. I think the main reason this film flew under the radar was because it was released direct to Disney+ during covid. I think it's quite ambitious to tackle the afterlife and 'meanings of life' so head-on in a kids movie, but I think they did it wonderfully. The visuals were so beautiful and funny. The Jerrys lol. Thank you thank you thank you for watching this!

This was AMAZING! It was my first time watching as well, so being able to experience it for the first time alongside you Veggie was a memory I'll look back fondly on. What an incredible film with such a lovely story that adults who are animated film lovers can very much relate to and be touched by. how i interpret "the spark" is. that its lit. a sparl. something that triggers or ignites the will to live. often times this manifests as purpose or passion later on/in life. i was actually very surprised. this got a very rocky cinema release due to covid, and in a lot of countries went straight to disney+. it basically "flopped" and for the longest time had not a good reputation. so i was surprised when i watched it, i found it rly rly good, and once again i could not understand the taste of the masses. how is this bad? c_c not enough action pew pew? (similarly to how INsideOut was initially considered bad in general discussions) PS: btw i also interpret this as "what other voices can do to you". he was initially happy with things, but then there was this pressure of "doing better" "having a proper job" and things like that. so eventually its also not enough for you, because according to others, what u currently have does not amount to anything

This was so good, Paige! And yeah, I am actually super glad I knew zero going in! It made it.... VERY intense XD But only in the best way! What an incredible message, and in the days after watching it, I have caught myself feeling angry about something and then suddenly thinking "Wait, what am I angry about? Something that i tiny!" So good, and will definitely watch countless times again! :)

I watched this movie when it came out of theaters. I blocked it out because all I could remember was crying really hard when 22 was lost. Fact is, anyone who struggles with self-esteem or mental illness can identify with that inner voice or voices that tear you apart. Pixar hit the nail on the head with that portrayal. Love the representation, but it's hard to watch when sometimes it is a daily struggle to face. Sorry for the overshare. Take care everybody. Looking forward to more movie reactions

I'll b honest, I've never seen this one, I'm in for the reaction though, im excited to watch it though, I've heard amazing things about it, I just wasn't in the most receptive headspace when it came out, so very excited

Finally got round to putting this on, apologies for the several comments ill probably spam during this film. Just paused as he fell down the man hole. I relate to this character alot. Playing music has always been the thing that enables me to carry on through all of the struggles ive had in life. Ive had people tell me im wasting my time playing gigs. Ive felt like ive wasted my time in these regular IT jobs. And frankly id of much rather been a music teacher st a school, id find that really satisfying in its own way
