Hi guys!  Hope you all had a fantastic week! Just wanted to let you know, I was aiming to get the next book review video out today, but sadly I ran out of time.  I am so sorry to keep you all waiting on these stuff. I intend on trying to get them out weekly, but have had another manic week.  Also (and this certainly isn't a bad thing), these chapters hold a LOT of great info I can't wait to discuss with you guys!

We cover chapters 4, 5 and 6, so if you want to do a refresher beforehand you can!

I will aim to get it finished and posted here tomorrow. Again, so sorry about the wait on these AND the movie reactions! I'll try to get up to speed!

Have a great Sunday!

... Can't believe what Hagrid said about Hufflepuff.. :(

Don't worry about the Hufflepuff thing! We all know Hagrid was wrong! The characters say stupid things about the other houses a lot. Hagrid was in Gryffindor (probably should've been in Hufflepuff if I'm being honest, not sure why JK put him in Gryffindor) so he's biased.

Kamilla Mari

You're placed into your house based on your values and what you aspire to be, not necessarily your qualities. And Hagrid clearly values the Gryffindor traits. All the people he describes as being the “greatest” (Dumbledore, Lily and James etc) were Gryffindors. ☺️

emmainkeri

It's really a combination of your qualities and what you value. I wish Hagrid had canonically been in Hufflepuff though, he is so fiercely loyal. Not all (like 90%) of the main good guys in the series needed to be in Gryffindor. The other houses needed better representation in the books.

Kamilla Mari

Completely agree that a more diverse representation was needed!

Kat

I completely agree, there are a handful of Gryffindors I feel would have made more sense in other houses. As a result you end up with quite a two-dimensional idea of ‘good guys vs bad guys’. There are a fair few negative Gryffindor traits too! I feel like Lily sounds more like a Hufflepuff too, valuing being kind and inclusive to others over brash show-off behaviour from young James for example. Interesting one!

Reverend Of War

"Not All Gryffindors!" As the only Gryffindor in a house of Hufflepuffs, I can say that they are just fine. Though they do often put the empty milk bottle back in the refrigerator instead of throwing it out ...

Rush K

No worries take your time. I am really excited for tomorrow 😁

Diego Zenhäusern

Yeah, I feel like Hagrid is only in Griffindor because all the "good guys" have to be in Griffindor😅

I hope you understand that you never need to say that you are sorry when you have a delay putting things out. We look forward to what you post but do understand that life in the real world is very busy and sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day. We are here because we support you and like your personality so we are patient about delays.

Nim

Dont ever worry about being delayed. I'm sure all of us just want you to have a good time reacting to the story that we all love so much. There is no rush take your time. The best things in life comes to those who wait 😁

Dara Jeeling

Maia

Shawna

Maria

These are worth waiting for, don't worry about it! Sorry you are having a tough time irl, hoping for better times ahead.

Michaela

I know a lot of content creators feel the pressure to deliver, but if it gets to the point where it's sucking the life out of you / you're not enjoying it then it's not worth it either. I think you just need to figure out a schedule that works for you. (But very excited to see what's coming up next and time to open up the book again tonight.)

Hi Veggie. I've come over here from YouTube. Loving your movie reactions and looking forward to hearing what you think of the books. Just wanted to come to Hagrid's defence: what Hagrid says is 'Everyone says Hufflepuff are a lot o' duffers, but -' then Harry cuts him off. So Hagrid was actually going to disagree with this statement. Hagrid isn't actually speaking badly of Hufflepuff he's just commenting on what a lot of people think of the house. The only house he's actually biased against is Slytherin which Harry takes to heart and then meets Draco which doesn't help his first impressions.

VeggieGamer

Yeah you are completely right about Hagrid, Katie! I guess I was just feeling a bit offended at the time XD And yeah that makes a lot of sense about Slyrherin!
