that sounds like a deep Friendship when he even scolds his own body for his Actions. (I think its funny that he as themed underpants in his Colors) He should probably tell him that he dont wants to be a Creep and its just a reaction he cant control, and that he is sorry if it annoys Luke. BUUUT than they would get together as People not talking about there feelings is most of the time the reason a Comic runs as we see them get to term with there feelings sloooooowly. EDIT: And i know Luke is technical a She but if Ray says He i think we can get a pass right?

It's probably not easy for Ray to simply switch gears like that, having known Luke all through high school as a he and, despite the gender swap, as the saying goes "old habits die hard." ("...and so does Bruce Willis." Yes, I know, lame joke.)

It's funny, when I think back to my days in high school, this isn't very far off the mark; I'm sure we've all had best friends (or good friends) that we talked to on a regular basis but, if you suddenly found yourself in this situation (be it Ray's or Luke's), do you really think you'd know how to react? How to respond? I'm confident I wouldn't be any different in either of their shoes and I think- at least for me- this is what makes this comic so powerful that it really drives home that feeling of uncertainty in this situation.

Does Luke actually think of themselves as a girl now? Like their body changed and there's some new feelings that came along with it, but I'm not sure if it's really clear when Luke lands on gender yet. Edit: Ok yea it seems like Luke is figuring it out too, #40 they go "I don't think I mind being a girl, or rather being a guy was never all that important to me...", "I don't know whether I should even go by Luke anymore!" Which is very much stuff I thought about regarding hypothetical "became a girl" scenarios years before I *actually* transitioned.

Experience something like a different Gender in one fell swoop can be traumatic for someone(like Luke) But then They also have to fight of the Trauma of Parents abandoning them on a whim, the whole Social System collapsing over a new identity and well the fact that Mana is now on the Menu. I mean They should probably still go by Luke, if they dont see themself as a Girl or a Boy anymore, if they want to have something more towards there OG Name Lucia would be the kinda Female Version of Luke i think?
