The bad batch was given katarn armor a very strong metal not unlike Beskar but still strong. Most commandos are given that level of protection, so as a special op like clone force 99 is not uncommon. Plus with the added black one piece suit that lessen and distributes the impact through the body helps them take heavy blows. That's how Wrecker got shot in episode 1 twice and didn't get heavy injuries. At most it would be like getting punched by a martial artist. Maybe some cracked ribs and brusing but otherwise fine unless something else hit them harder like a shell or a slug. Hunter is lucky to have that armor or he'd be dead. Other clones got less protection but had numbers and battle training on their side That plate on Cad's head confirms the fight with him and Boba did happen at least imo Fun fact Jango did have a sister in ledgens that had blonde hair so the genetics are still there. If the writers are using that info and putting it into cannon that does make her a proper Fett. Though there is one thing that bugs me. Like she seems a LOT younger then what Boba is as of right now which is 13 possibly going on 14

Kevin Sharbaugh

I've wondered why Omega wasn't just a duplicate of Fett... Why female? Why blond? But it's occurred to me that while Boba was part of the obligatory payment to Jengo and had to fit specified criteria, Omega wasn't an 'official product' so there was no need to look a certain way. Essentially, she was (to a certain degree) Nala Se's side project and was free to tailor the clone to her personal tastes, her own pet/child/companion... which would explain her affection for Omega, something she had never shown to the regs.

I enjoyed Bad Batch, I think it;s a good show, but I don’t think (after season 1P) that it’s “essential” or “priority viewing”. As you pointed out, this is a visually stunning show; both the design and animation are good tier. They’ve used this style so much they’ve fully refined it to perfection. Dee Bradley Baker continues to be an absolute beast voicing all the clones. The cameos are fun; they’re all characters we like, and even the sisters are better served here in a small dose as a Rex prelude. If you watched Clone Wars and Rebels, this is a wonderful dessert. I consider it Clone Wars, season 8 / Rebels Season 0, given where it stands in the time line. That said…some criticism are valid. Even well-executed cameos are still cameos. On the flip side, the Bad Batch themselves are a fun group but haven’t been particularly well developed. You have a leader with heart, a big dumb funny guy, two weirdly overlapping “nerds”, and the classic mysterious child. In that respect, the story overlaps significantly with Mandalorian, which did this trope first, and better. The Republic-Empire transition period is a period that hasn’t been explored on screen, so there’s material to mine and stories to tell, but the show isn’t really pushing the lore very hard, or breaking new ground. For all those reasons, I would send a new viewer to Rebels before Bad Batch - there’s way more critical lore, and following the Ghost crew is different journey, better done than here. I would recommend Bad Batch after Rebels,…and frankly, after Tales of the Jedi, but that’s so short you can blow through it one one sitting, so it’s not an impediment. The best content Star awards content is Andor, though, and….well, you really should watch It last. Watching BOBF and Kenobi after Andor would be rough. There’s levels to this, and Andor blows away all prior understanding of Star Wara filmmaking. You won’t believe me, but Andor is better than Mando, so definitely don’t watch it until later. Fortunately, there’s very little “lore” required to get into it.

Deadpool

So your just gonna ignore that the whole cloning project was controlled and funded by palps, like what’s the point

Andor better than Mando???? Wow. I've only watched 7 episodes so far and its cool for the most part. It must really get better though if it's better than Mando.

Josh Baker

@Chuck It's 100% better *in some ways* by the end. Non-spoiler explanation: It's more emotionally moving and takes itself more seriously, cinematically. Acting is also top tier. Finale had me in tears 3 times. BUT... Mando is def next level when we're talking about the "Wow that feels like it's been ripped straight out of OG Star Wars" feeling. I love both though, and think they're both top 3-4 pieces of SW content we've gotten in the last couple years. They're both great at their own thing and have different vibes. Very refreshing

That show how different opinions can be. On my part I find Andor really bad. I had to stop it in episode 1. Just didn't get into it. I agree that bobf is mehh and obi is kinda in between. But I think the Best way to watch is in it's right order. So bobf before mando 3 for sure. Obi can be after bobf or after andor . Really doesn't matter that much

I agree. "Fanservice"-wise (like tying in Ahsoka, Luke, Bo-Katan, the darksaber, etc), the Mandalorian is still top tier Star Wars content. But Andor is absolutely the best SHOW that they have ever put out. The acting, writing, atmosphere, tension, music, everything just comes together to produce not just a great star wars show, but just an excellent show, period, with none of the campiness you sometimes see in star wars. Campiness sometimes adds to the star wars charm, but often it can take away from it (looking at you Book of Boba). It's difficult to compare the two. To use Marvel as a comparison, Mando is like a Loki or Wandavision, and Andor is a Daredevil.
