Great movie. Still holds up to this day. ROTS and ESB constantly swap back and forth between #1 and #2 for me.

In Return of the Jedi keep an eye out for Rex in the Endor ground team. He looks like he did in rebels. It's confirmed by Dave Filoni to be him.

The reason the Sith seemed more powerful was because the rule of two was designed by Darth Bane to create the most powerful possible Sith Lord. One could only become the sith master if they were powerful enough to defeat and kill their master. Whereas the prequel era Jedi had never known real conflict. The Jedi for the most part had been at relative peace for a thousand years. The Jedi were totally unprepared for the war whereas the sith were. Given the high number of Jedi, there were bound to be plenty of weaker ones. This doesn’t mean that one side of the force is stronger than the other. The Jedi and the Sith are simply organizations or cults that study and use the force.

R2 really wasn’t that close with Obi and def not Yoda. He was simply Anakin’s droid. Most of the Jedi generals had their own astromech droids, however Anakin was one of the very few to form a close relationship with his. Remember that R2 and C-3PO had their minds wiped at the end of ROTS.

You should do Rouge one after episode 6.... That's is equally best😊

There are actually some people out there that STILL don't know the Luke l am your father. Then there are parents that introduce their kids to that moment and it really is a blast watching their jaws drop. So, there's always gonna be that generation to find and learn the truth. The part I love about this movie is Luke realized that he could end up like his father or he could save him. It's a sort of destiny Luke has to play out. The Darkside can only destroy anything that uses it as opposed to the light. I mean look at Vader for example or Maul. The years of Anakin falling to the Darkside both as Anakin and then Vader finally caught up with him. Same could be said for Maul in his mental state. 10 years after Obi beat him, he lost himself in his own mind. Now Vader constantly hurts himself in his suit to destroy in the coldest way possible if need be and Maul never learned past his past mistakes. Remember when Ezra used the Darkside? He turned on his new family thinking he didn't need Kanan that he could do things on his own without consequence and he almost died because of that. That is the Darkside, cold uncaring quick and seductive. Destroying sith and Jedi alike, the balance always shifting and warping. Luke was dropped into his Jedi training after a life of humility and hard work with his uncle and aunt. Sure, it can be corny to look at it that way but to come from nowhere to a destiny he himself didn't know is something we can relate to when we feel lost.

The way Yoda describes The Dark Side is "easier and more seductive" which makes me think that Jedi are capable of stronger abilities such as Force Lightning, as well as being generally more powerful and having more endurance, but it just requires much more training and work put in. The Dark Side is the easy path, a shortcut to power, but you lose so much more of yourself by walking it. On a side note: That wasn't Wedge that died during the Battle of Hoth.

And the tables have turned now as the sith are at power and the Jedi had planned to return by hiding. It's ironic and poetic

There is Jedi lightning actually and Plo koon was the one Jedi that could pull it off.

Quinn Sliter

The jedi were definitely able to learn force lightning, but it’s use was generally not allowed by Jedi masters. Almost like the fighting form Tràkata, where you turn your lightsaber off and on mid fight. This fighting form was never used by either Sith or Jedi, as the sith said it was weak, and the Jedi called it unsportsmanlike. I’m assuming that is how the Jedi also viewed force lightning.

A sith does not know love btw. As it would slow their hate and drive for power. Anakin really turned when he fell to the darkside. He turned Padme into a possession instead of a wife. Ironically she still haunts his thoughts as Vader I don't remember if you've seen Star wars theory's fanfilm on Vader but if you haven't yet I DEFINITELY recommend it 😭💔😭💔

The Empire could kill Alderaan a thousand times over, and Leia would still be a princess. This is the best Star Wars movie. The best made, the best acted. Yoda and Luke’s exchange, goosebumps every time. Vader and Luke’s iconic moment. An epic Hoth battle. Han and Leia on fire. Lando, Boba, the bounty hunters debut. It’s never been topped

ROTS seems to be the fan favorite nowadays. But any fan will tell you empire is the best. It’s not only my favorite of the Star Wars movies, it’s my favorite movie of all time. Period. One piece of entertainment I can say is just perfect 100%. It gets better every time I see it. Wish I could have seen audience reaction for that iconic scene for the first time. I’m glad this fell into December with your reaction. I always watch empire when I get my Christmas tree. Watching it with a warm glow and Christmas lights going off. Reminds me of when I saw it for the first time. Mainly due to the snow in the beginning for me watching it in winter. The best movie of all time in my humble opinion. Love this movie

Return of the jedi is SLOWLY becoming one of my favorites even though I love both ROTS and ESB. The fact we get to see what Young Luke has been doing after the movie is a big plus on my end. Iykyk

In 1994 I was 7 when I first watched the original trilogy by accident, playing VHS tapes marked as soccer games when no one was home. As soon as watched that iconic scene, I was in total shock! At the time we had no cellphones so I had to impatiently wait 4 hours for my father to get home and get confirmation that was true because I just couldn't believe it. The longest wait of my life up until this moment! This movie is everything to me, my favorite of all time for many reasons such as the iconic scene and the score wich is the best score in a SW movie from start to finish. Yes, Revenge of the Sith is amazing but this one has a special place in my heart. It's actually curious that George Lucas didn't directed this one.

"Is Leia still a princess since Alderaan was blown up" Vegeta would like a word...
