Lucas Chantler

Literally everyone who watches in release order is like “who tf is that” when Anakin shows up at the end. When people rewatch that might be the one moment that gains the most meaning the 2nd time around

The white bearded guy in 23:53 is probably captain rex now known as commander rex. in rebels ending it is sais that commander rex fought in battle of endor. Then disney released this animation https://youtu.be/N_KBQ-gRgxU which shows that bearded guy in what appears to be 501 clone armor pieces. So in the disney canon he is probably rex but in the legends he was nik sant.

Alexander Collins

Not sure if you knew this but if you go to 23:53 that older rebel with the white beard has been officially confirmed to be Rex

In the original version of Return of the Jedi, Vader said nothing during the scene where he turns of the Emperor, it was all down to the music, the camera movement and Vader looking back between The Emperor and Luke to make the scene powerful, and it was. We really didn't need him to yell "NOOOOOO". That was added in the Blu-Ray Special Edition, and it's up there with the worst changes Lucas made to these movies. Why can't Disney just release the theatrical versions of the original trilogy, just with updated picture and audio quality.

Culper (Lukas)

Man, I still remember all of the buzz around that. In what, 2016-2017 I think. It makes sense and it also allows Morrison to come back and play him, live action style.

David Norcross III

You ask who had been a Jedi , Went to the Dark Side and back to the light. Ben Solo/Kylo Ren. But that’s not enough to justify a rewatch of 8 & 9. Return of the Jedi has been and always will be my favorite Star Wars movie.

The Hutt language, Huttese is so common because the Hutt Empire (thousands of years old) for most of modern galactic history was the next largest galactic government after the Republic/Empire, Separatists and various Sith Empires during the old republic. The Hutt Empire was the largest power in the known Galaxy independent from the empire during the original trilogy.

Anikin story is a Tragic .. But as prophesied he is the chosen one and eliminated The Sith.. Seeing Yoda Obiwan and Anikin, Chills!!!! Hope Qui-gon is around too🙂 The Jedi way of not having any emotional connections, (Love ,Anger, Fear) is the thing that drives to dark side, in most of the cases. Kanan Jarrus from rebels is close to what we call a perfect Jedi... He did express emotions, Perfected the force and became a Jedi Knight and when time came he Sacrificed himself... True Jedi🙂 This movie is fantastic..

This is the perfect time you completed re-watch... This will be very insightful for the upcoming Boba Fett, Obiwan Series... You should re-watch Rouge one before starting Andor.... That would be perfect... But don't Miss the Tales of the Jedi.... It's the greatest thing from Starwars this year ..🙂 if you Watch it immediately after this re-watch.. You will feel great and wholesome 😊

Palpatine has never been afraid to break the rule of two. He technically did that with Maul, who “died” in the Phantom Menace shortly before Palpatine killed his own master Darth Plagueis. The rule of two was a philosophy, not a law that didn’t exist for most of sith history. Palpatine had no intention of following the rule of two. He wanted to rule the galaxy for eternity, making sure he never trained an apprentice to be more powerful than himself, which directly contradicted the rule of two.

I love how Vader saving Luke is the opposite of him killing Mace with Palpatine in ROTS. It took a fathers love to bring him back to the light. Ironic sense he himself never had a father growing up on Tatooine all those years ago The fact that Palpatine acknowledged Luke as a jedi is big

SKITS_ 3D

7:25 ummmmm look behind Boba I think I know who that is 😏The writers are doing a sneaky trick like with Rex again Leia would gain the title as Hutt slayer after killing Jabba sending fear to the other five hutt clans. We gotta appreciate the name for that. Hutts are actually 10 times stronger then humans but they're so lazy about it that they don't do squat. When Yoda died he was wrapped in Qui gon's robe Obiwan had given it to him after he died Asharad Hett fell to the darkside Quinlan Voss fell to the darkside the Grand inquisitor and the other inquisitors all fell to the darkside and probably more. Those are just some off the top of my head... Oh yeah Trilla and Cere too though Cere didn't go completely like Trilla Ok you didn't even react to Rex so I'm just gonna say that was a cut off in your editing. Yup totally not crying after this movie 😭 I totally agree man compassion is different from attachment. Compassion is showing a selfless love while attachment is a selfish love. George honestly said it best in a interview he did discussing the differences between pleasure and joy. Using Anakin for the meaning of pleasure and Luke for joy in helping others

Maul never really turned to the light side. He was still a dark side user in Rebels and Ahsoka was still a light side user. The Jedi and Sith are simply cults that use the force, not umbrella terms for all light side and all dark side users. Maulleft the sith order because he finally came to the realization that the sith (Palpatine) were the reason for all the bad things that had happened to him. Doesn’t mean he stopped using the dark side. However in legends, two Sith Lords from the Old Republic era, Darth Revan and Ulic Qel Droma were initially Jedi Knights, prodigies like Anakin. Both of them, just like Anakin turned to the dark side during a time when the Sith were believed to be extinct and both eventually returned to the light. Also in Legends, the very first Sith Lord, Ajunta Pall, was a Jedi who broke off from the order and later conquered the Sith homeworld (which was seen in the Clone Wars Yoda arc). He eventually returned to the light after death as a dark side spirit which was similar to a force ghost.

Kevin Sharbaugh

Those of us who watched these when they originally came out knew it was Anakin... because, basically, it just made sense.

Lucas Chantler

Yeah obviously I know that. I meant the actually appearance of Anakin being younger than what he was

SKITS_ 3D

39:00 mans seen the light LMAO. 🤣

Leesha

seeing anakin in white robes at the end just hits different :')

Sami Vaarala

Btw have you played Battlefront 2 story? If you havent i strongly suggest you do, because it tells the story after episode 6 and how empire falls down completely

The idea of being in a sarlak pit is like being in a slow cooker with mind control. The thing keeps you alive for a thousand years digesting you getting everything out of you and then you die withering away. Like one of those pitcher plants do to their pray in our world. Another type of plant that hunts their food like a Venus flytrap Btw you can look up 80's reactions to these movies but you can't hear them too well. Some maybe but a lot of are too old. Though the ones you can hear the audience are great 👍 you really hear their shock and cheers Remember Qui gon couldn't become a force ghost because he never completed his training . He could on Mortis because he was in a VERY force filled place. However Disney seems to not care anymore as they already recon that twice

EZ

well they added that after the prequels, originally it was Sebastian Shaw, then they changed it to Hayden

Lucas Chantler

No really I thought Hayden showed up in 1977 and then was 50 years old in the prequels. I feel like it shouldn’t be very hard to understand what I meant

M&M

I think it fits so perfectly that Luke is the only one at Vader's funeral because, as sad as it is, he's the only person in the whole galaxy who mourns him. Even Leia I don't think ever saw him as her father, she saw him as the monster who killed her real father. It just adds to the lesson and tragedy of Anakin.

Randee Carreno

Another fantastic Star Wars reaction! 😊 This movie ties for second(with Revenge of the Sith) as my all-time favorite Star Wars movie. I think this one has the most changes in it as far as the effects, and added scenes go. A few notable changes from the original 1983 version: is the Sarlacc has a mouth that looked like it was modeled after Audrey 2, the plant in the movie "Little Shop of Horrors"(I highly recommend that movie to you), the Jabba's palace song, the Ewok celebration song, and most notable the original Anakin actor Sebastian Shaw being replaced with Hayden Christensen at the end. I was 8 years old when this movie originally came out in 1983. And to an eight year old girl, Jabba was pretty darn scary to me at the time. I'll always remember waiting in the theater lobby until after Leia killed Jabba before I would watch it. LOL! Luke telling Leia that they're brother and sister, the Luke vs. Vader lightsaber fight on the Death Star, and the Ewok celebration at the end have always been my favorite parts of this one. Fun Fact #1: Other than Luke, Wedge was the only other X-Wing pilot that survived all three main battles in the original trilogy: The first Death Star, the battle on Hoth, and the second Death Star. Fun Fact #2: Denis Lawson, who plays Wedge, is the real-life uncle to Ewan McGregor(Obi-Wan). I highly recommend you checking out the original 1983 versions of the song played in Jabba's palace and the Ewok celebration scenes. They are both on YouTube. They're both very catchy(in my opinion)tunes. Hopefully you'll be able to get the full length reaction up soon. There were scenes in this 'early access' that weren't in there that I wanted to see your reactions to. I will say though, most or all of my favorite moments from this movie did make in your 'early access' cut. 👍 I still very highly recommend a re-watch of "Rogue One" before you get to the first season of "Andor" if you have time.

Cat Harington

The first time I watched star wars, I did chronologically. And I loved it. Ep 6 is a great ending to the Skywalker saga. The New celebration music is very emotional and hopeful at the same time. The OG soundtrack for the ending wasn't really good in my opinion.

Supply Drop

Episode VI is still a gut punch, in terms of Light side - Dark Side flip flopping, I can't wait till you play Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2, (Singleplayer RPG) and SWTOR (MMORPG, with single-player only stories) some of the best SW content out there. Can't wait for the upcoming show reactions, Kenobi and Andor are great.

Chase Izidoro

Yea that’s Rex, obviously it wasn’t the intent to have the be Rex when the movie was first made, but they changed it to being Rex because it fits perfectly that’s it’s an old dude with a white beard…also when they get captured, right before the Ewoks attack the empire, you can see the rebels with their hands over the head and Rex is actually wearing Stormtrooper armor with his hands over his head. Kinda funny they did that without Rex even being a thing back then, but now it fits perfectly lol.

1. Episode 3 2. Episode 5 3. Episode 4 4. Episode 6 5. Episode 1 6. Episode 2 Love all the movies but my top 3 are the way they are because of how much I rewatch them! Episode 3 and 5 are sooo close they flip flop a lot for me!

s-agentjackbauer

Don't know if mocking sequel fans was necessary...
