It’s truly incredible how different the emotions are for Anakin’s death scene after you finally see all of the Prequels, Clone Wars, and Rebels. It just elevates the tragedy that much more, but also makes it that much more beautiful in that final scene where we see him as a force ghost and finally at peace. It’s hard to call this the true end, because The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett happen after Episode VI, but Return of the Jedi really is the perfect ending to the Skywalker story when watched from Episode I all the way through.

The ST is not canon for me, they completely negate Anakin's sacrifice with the whole "Somehow Palpatine returned". Somehow? Really? Fuck off.

Excellent bro. I'm always torn whether I like this or ESB better and I always get flack for that. I love this one. Star Wars as a whole is the greatest thing ever created to me. The greatest tragedy ever written. Clone Wars is what made watching the movies again so amazing. Without it we wouldn't be nearly as connected with Anakin. Please make sure you rewatch Rogue 1 before you get to Andor.

Man I just love this stuff so much. My list of movies are revenge of the Sith, return of the jedi, Empire strikes back, season 7 clone wars ending, attack of the clones, and then phantom menace. I love each and everyone of those equally cause of the consistent story telling and the passion the overall feeling they bring. Like phantom menace is a great set up for the long story ahead and I will never stop appreciating Qui gon's sacrifice even if I wanted him to father Anakin. I still love all of George 's work btw. A new hope is STILL one I love too it's just hard to do a top 6 for me sometimes cause I flip flop some of em. As you can see 😅

I strongly encourage you to rewatch the sequel trilogy at some point. It has its flaws, but just like the prequels it has things like the Mandalorian and the Bad Batch that are retroactively making it better. There are also huge flaws in the originals that people ignore because of nastalgia. Anyway hope it might be a thing at some point
