Might watch ALL shows later on down the line but dont wanna commit to them all before getting to season 3 of Daredevil. The Punisher will most likely come after Daredevil season 3!

Jessica Jones season 1 is very, very good--a little noir with one of the best Marvel villains in a show or movie. It would help you get a sense of if you want to watch Luke Cage and Defenders. I hope you watch it, even off-screen. Defenders is a weak experience on its own.

I beg of you, for the sake of sparing yourself and each of us all the pain - option #1. It’s the only option

Recap of Defenders is definitely worth sparing you the mediocrity of the whole season. Jessica Jones is really good though. definitely watch that at some point. Iron Fist isn't even worth considering tbh.

Cat Harington

I personaly enjoyed every Marvel Series from Netflix. Daredevil is of course by far the best. But Jessica Jones is very good too and the other stuff isn't that bad...

Deadpool

Honestly Iron fist and his enemies plays a big role in defenders so for the plot of defenders I say it’s the most important

Deadpool

Ah a classic, the polls show one thing but the comments says something different

If you add up the two choices that don't agree with S3, it's more than the ones that do want S3.

Silas Kane

The number of people who have closely followed Daredevil by itself is much higher than the number of people who even saw The Defenders...let alone the other shows. There are legit points being made but this result doesn't surprise me at all. Primate isn't the only one taking this direction by a long shot...he'll be fine.

Since we’re making up rules - now f you break up the imaginary combined choice into all choices, S3 is the winner, so now what? Also check again. No longer more then S3, even when combined.

At the same time, the Hand are also Daredevil's enemies. I did watch everything when it came out, back when Netflix thought every series needed to be 13 episodes, lol. I feel like they didn't really do enough with his character, but they should've.

so even though defenders was not as good as daredevil i still think primate shouldn't skip, from how he has reacted to some shows and movies, i think he would actually like but probably agree its not as good as daredevil, and if he is enjoying this universe i would say watch defenders and jessica jones or even just defenders, even though i think jessica jones season 1 and 2 are great but jus different types of shows compared to daredevil

(I know this is long but bear with me.) Primate, even though there's a poll hopefully you read these comments before you make a final decision. I have my opinion about what you should do obviously but that's not really why I'm commenting. I get people have different opinions, but I'm just not sure if you've really gotten all the right information in terms of all of this stuff, so I want to clarify a few things just in case. The poll makes is pretty clear what a lot of people want you to do, but in my opinion, their decision is more about not wanting to wait through eight weeks of reactions to a sub-par show before you get to DD Season 3 than it is about you getting the best viewing experience. Which is probably fair, this is a reaction channel and you're asking for input for what people want to see, and DD is 100% better than Defenders, so I get not wanting to wait. But if your question is will your viewing experience of Season 3 be affected by not watching Defenders (or at least parts of it), the answer IS yes, regardless of what other people are saying. Here's my reasonings: -Many of the things you're currently interested in or emotionally invested in for S2 of Daredevil (especially considering comments you've made literally in the last released episode) are directly continued in Defenders, and so is a huge part of that story. In an attempt to explain to you how important without spoiling, I'll also just say there are storylines from S2 that literally get their resolution in Defenders and not S3 and are finished by S3, and there are permanent effects on certain characters you are familiar with. Sure, people will say you can just watch a recap or read a summary or something, but the difference between just finding out something happens and actually watching it play out on screen is gigantic. You don't feel anything the same way if you just watch a recap. -The Defenders is not a great show, but it's still decent, and more importantly, for the most part the Daredevil content in the show is actually still really well done. It's just some of the other storylines related to other characters (specifically Iron Fist) that are kind of bad. Everything to do with Daredevil characters works fine, and also continues character arcs from S2 that matter, and then will be picked up in S3. If you jump straight from 2 to 3, sure you can eventually figure out the story and plot okay, but where characters are at in their arcs and how they've changed will come off kind of weird or sudden and you will feel like you missed something. -Another thing is that you don't have to have seen the other shows to follow the plot of Defenders, I only watched Daredevil and Jessica Jones all the way through, never the others and after a few episodes it barely matters if you've seen anything but Daredevil. While you can watch those other shows on their own later on and it won't matter that much, it will be weird for you if you watch Defenders later on because it's not really standalone in the timeline, it's at a very specific point for watching. -If you just watch a recap video, I guarantee you it will leave out certain character moments/scenes that contribute to arcs, because those types of videos are always just about getting you the info and the story, not about the character moments. But I know from your reactions that the characters and dialogue are some of the highlights of Daredevil for you, and you'd be missing several good/important ones, especially as it pertains to the DD S2 finale. Ultimately, my personal opinion is that eight weeks of Defenders is definitely a long time, and I admit it's been a slog for me at times when other reaction channels have done it. With that said, since it seems like people here don't want to see it then if it's possible for you, just do it off camera, or in the fastest way possible, that would be my recommendation. Second best option would be to find a way to just watch all the Daredevil overarching story or Season 3 relevant scenes in like a supercut, probably also offscreen. I bet you anything somebody could get that made for you if it doesn't exist already, and I'd honestly be willing to if that's what you wanted to do. Please just consider all this, it wouldn't be the end of the world if you skip but it'd be a shame if you had a worse Season 3 experience just because people are a little impatient for what is, admittedly, the best season of the show.

Azazel the Fallen

Idc what the Poll says you should give each of the shows just 1 Episode and then decide if you wanna skip them, make videos out of them, or Binge them off screen.

Clark

Damn this poll haha. If I can't watch you react to each show I was hoping to see you watch all of Defenders.

Chris Runde

Definitely want Jessica Jones, don't care whether you watch The Defenders though.

ItsAPrimate

Yea so if I do go with the recap option I have a friend in the community who would put together a good recap of defenders to include everything I need for season 3 but keeping other spoilers to a minimum so it wouldn’t just be a random one! Still not 100% sure, thinking it over for another day or two!
