Wow, like I have seen this show over 10 times and this is the first time that scene of ted in the hospital has really stood out to me. Skyler says in this episode that she is afraid of Walt and rightfully so. And that it's crazy how Walter didn't understand that when she said it. But then seeing Skyler talk to Ted but Ted be absolutely just horrified by Skyler and the power he believes her to have is insane. Like WE know that Skyler isn't like Walt but from Ted's view, he has no clue. All he knows is that Bill Burr and Huell were sent by skyler/saul to force his hand and thats what eventually led to his own accident of slipping. But he now believes the power she has and he was just horrified! Like the minute he saw her he felt he had to make sure she knew that he wouldn't say a word because he was so fuckin spooked. And I think that Skyler saw that and was kinda just shocked by this reaction and realizing what shes becoming. I think that really turns the knife on the fact that she is scared of walt the same way Ted is scared of her. That really sells the theme of skyler not being the one to hold that power and furthering this divide we have been seeing between skyler and walt! Like Ted is stupid and annoying as fuck but for him to now be in this position, paralyzed, looking like that, most likely a shell of who he was before... thats a scary thought to realize "I did have a part in this. Even though the slip wasnt my fault, i am a piece of why he is in this spot now". Teds a dumbass but i feel so sorry for that dumbass who now has his entire life thrown away because of the dangers that skyler had to bring that Walt started. Damn. This show continues to blow me away.

For sure! I agree, Ted is easily the stupidest breaking bad character. Like bro said “no one’s going to jail over this” like wtf dude 💀 you literally would?!? It’s more of the fact that Skyler forcing his hand was what started the domino effect to get him there. I do think the fall was his own fault, dumbass mf 💀 BUT I’m referring to more of the themes and reactions and what they mean. Like Skyler now realizing that her involvement with all this, even if her intentions were pure as to clear them from being audited, its indirectly causing harm just like Walt. I mean Walt’s intentions? Providing for his family? that’s as pure as you can be. But then the shit he’s been doing since season 1? It’s caused more trouble than was ever needed. And that falls true here for Skyler now. Skyler is falling closer in line now with Walter and I think that scene with Ted showed her that exactly. Also @itsaprimate, I’m saying all this as if I have only seen breaking bad up to season 5 ep 1. Im extremely cautious with spoilers and I’m very careful not to give even an OUNCE of details for what’s to come. Don’t worry ab that here.

I'm so excited for you! Season 4 was already putting Breaking Bad on the map as one of the best shows ever. But, Season 5 is sheer perfection! Just when you think there's nothing left for the story to tell with Season 4's finale, the 5th season comes along and you realize you've just seen the tip of the iceberg. Season 5 cemented Breaking Bad as the greatest show of all time. Enjoy the ride, man! Just fucking enjoy it. Because once it's over, you will feel forever changed.
