Fascinating insights in how much work you put into your videos. Thank you so much.

Rhiannon Hutchinson

Happy Solstice to you and yours, Diane! I thoroughly enjoyed this video. One quick FYI - I noticed that it seemed to end at about 4 minutes, but the total length was over 6 minutes. So I jumped ahead and at about 5 minutes, there's a black screen and your voice in what sounds like a practice run you might have recorded over...? So you may want to check that before you roll it out on YouTube. :) That said...it's a great video, because it's so fascinating to see how you create the sets and props! I enjoyed seeing what your new software can do, and especially love that you avoided AI images (ick!!!) and supported real artists. Well done!!!

As soon as I saw your new roleplay, I was hoping there would be a behind the scenes video! There were so many little details I was curious about. As an artist, I very much appreciate your commitment to supporting real artists. So exciting to find out you created at least one real brochure! As always, your attention to the details is very much appreciated! Another wonderful video. Thank you for all you do!

Ah, I think I really need a holiday, I'm having trouble rendering properly edited videos these days 😅 The link has been updated! Thank you so much Rhiannon!

Rhiannon Hutchinson

You are most welcome. We all make mistakes sometimes. I myself made one back in 1972. (ha! ;)

Wow! Since I just had the privilege of being able to see these extras, now I really need to catch up. I knew that there was a great deal of work that went into your videos, but this is crazy! I love it! As a homeschooling mother of six, my life is so crazy that I can barely stop to breathe, let alone thinking about doing something as phenomenal as this. You are amazing and I truly enjoy the amount of joy you put into your work. It is an absolute work of art!❤️❤️❤️

Morganna

Happy holidays for you as well. Nice to see how you did the snow effect.

Paul Ransley

Thanks, love the BTS content giving me a peek into how you create great content. Happy Yuletide to you and all 1 🎄🪿🐺🐿️

Sometimes I feel we are taking advantage of your talents. Time and effort spent that you put in [ Husband also } is so illustrated in this video. I am sitting here in awe at what wonderful stories, sets and worlds you have created. I really feel that being a patreon is a bargain for the price.

It’s so amazing to see all of the hard work and talent and creativity that goes into making these videos. It’s such a special privilege that we get when you let us into your behind-the-scenes world. It truly gives me a new appreciation for the talent that you have! The final videos always look like this huge production, where you think that there’s a gigantic stage with props and sets….. it’s fascinating how you put all that together into such small spaces. You truly are such a creative and talented artist! Thank you for giving us this peek into your world! Enjoy your holidays!

susanka susan

You are soooo amazing. I’m always in aw about your sets and it’s so incredible to see them come to life. This video was awesome ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Katia

Ooo I did wonder about the broschures and images, there were so many, how could you possibly have time to make them all! I’m also curious about all those wonderful vintage suitcases! Is it easy to find them in France? It took me literally years to pull together maybe half of that amount of them in Finland!

Wendy Kaye Bartlett

My favorite part was when you disappeared! And my favorite detail were the beautiful luggage tags. Your husband is very talented!! How nice to have a designer in the family ❤️

Amy Snyder-Heitman

You truly are a one of a kind talent. Your attention to detail and passion makes your videos truly magical. My 5 year old son now enjoys watching these with me before bedtime. ♥️♥️

Thebagfather46

moonlightcottageASMR

Quite easy actually yes! Although it's a bit harder to find *pretty* ones :)

This was so enjoyable to watch! Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your amazing family! Xxx

I always learn so much from you, Diane. I remember when I first joined your Patreon and you were building your sets in the corner of your living room!!! They always have so much depth—little cubbies and passages ways. You are a master at shaping our perception of space. Anyway, thank you for sharing your gifts with such grace and creativity. And the happiest of holidays to you and your husband. Sherri 🎄🥂

You were one of the first ASMR creators that I watched and fell in love with your videos instantly. I suffer from severe insomnia and central sleep apnea and your videos have helped me so much. Thank you for always putting so much into them! They are always beautiful. Merry Christmas!

moonlightcottageASMR

Thank you Stephanie, wishing you the best for 2025 :) Merry Christmas to you!

Corinne

All of the vintage style travel posters remind me of the tea towels from the original LOTR gift shop role play!

Janine Spendlove

The amount of time, effort, and detail you put into each of these is amazing!

Myrin

I can't believe how naïve I've been: I've been wondering about some of the more magical-but-not-actual-magic aspects of your videos - like the way the window glows blue in this one, for example, I thought you must've used some special foil combined with lighting -, it had honestly never occurred to me that you'd simply used an editing programme. 😅 I only became a patreon yesterday and your Behind The Scenes videos are definitely what I'm most looking forward to, so off I go to have my mind blown by really mundane things again and again!

moonlightcottageASMR

Thank you! For the window, the blue glow was actually made with 2 blue lights, but I saturated it even more in my software before adding the falling snow :)

Corinne

Hello Diane! I have just watched this video again (behind the scenes are my favourite), and it has given me a question! When you talked about filming it twice - do you start the editing process before you take the set down, or did you have to rebuild the set to film it again? I'm very curious about the order and process in which you make a video! merci! :)

moonlightcottageASMR

Hi Corinne! Now that I have a dedicated studio for my videos, I always start the editing - and even finish it - before taking anything down, so that I can film a few shots or extra b-rolls if needed!

Corinne

Thank you Diane! That's so interesting - I'd love to see the process of a video from the very initial idea all the way through to publishing it one day. I'm a student Occupational Therapist (I think ergothérapeute in French?) so I find seeing all of the steps completely fascinating. Merci, again!

Katherine Matthews

This video is so magical to me and I honestly couldn’t sleep without it. I love, cherish and deeply appreciate all your videos, and this one is very beloved to me 💙 I am so thankful that you choose to share your amazing talents with us 🙏

What is the editing software you're using? Looks cool.
