Un tel souci du detail et un énorme boulot. Bravo, je peux te dire qu'on apprécie énormément tout ton travail. Nous avons de la chance de t'avoir 🙏👏

NICOLA E BAGWORTH

Honestly you are an absolute genius 😊, thank you so much for all the time and effort this took to make 👏

Simply Rachael Studios

This never ceases to amaze me! Never would have known how many repurposed items were part of your set without seeing this video. Also how have I lived 30 years on this Earth and didn't know they sell cobwebs in a can lol

Katia

This one was a lot of work! And it always astonishes me what can be achieved in a small corner when you have a vision and 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Also love the oriental carpet 😂

Katia

Am also curious to know, how the special effect with the floating screen is done? (In previous video actually.)

Martha Brody

Wow. That was a lot of work and hugely creative. I’m also very curious about the special effects!

moonlightcottageASMR

Thank you!! I downloaded medical & sci-fi screens and applied various effects : perspective, transparency, and a glowing effect. And that's it :)

moonlightcottageASMR

Ahah yes these are a game changer. Although not a very "safe" product (I had to wear gloves to touch it), but I know no alternative.

moonlightcottageASMR

Thanks Martha! I've answered Katia about the flowing screens but let me know if you have other questions :)

Martha Brody

I’d also love to know more about the headpiece with the lenses that you used, but can wait for the props video. 😄

Scott Farley

Ok, since I am awe stricken and can't think of anything worthy to say, Ill ask a question. You said this is a one off? So what are you going to do with all the STUFF?????? Lol. It is obvious their was a decent amount of money to invest into that set. You, your Husband or a member of your family must own a hardware store. Lol.

Ashley

This is amazing!

dasnisl

That's just wow! It's amazing to see how much effort you put in a set for just a single video. Others would have used a greenscreen and that's it. I love to see how your ideas come to life. Thank you so much Diane!

Morganna

So much work. Which such great results. 💜

moonlightcottageASMR

Actually, and surprisingly, this wasn't my most expensive set! Since most of it was DIY made from secondhand items and junk, I didn't invest that much. Everything that can still be used has been given or sold for a few euros (the access pits, ventilation grids, the box of spare pieces, the canvas, the ridgerest pads...). I keep the wood panels for future sets, in case I would need rigid walls instead of my usual fabrics. I will probably sell my homemade sci-fi panels & props later, but since they're highly breakable I'm not sure yet. At last, the few things that could not be re-used or that have been broken when I took the set off will go to the damp/recycling centre.

moonlightcottageASMR

I'm not sure I'll make other props video so I'll answer you here! These are magnifying glasses made for modelling or other hobbies, that I simply painted in black. I think these can still easily be found on online shops :)

Janine Spendlove

I cannot get over how amazing this is! And Star Wars is my absolutely favorite everything, so seeing so much of its influence here makes me so happy! Well done!

Scott Farley

See. You fooled Me/Us all. You did a wonderful job. We who watch are the lucky ones.

Thomas

I love this!

Mid Mod Meridian ASMR

Seriously wish you would make just one more video using this powerhouse of a set. So so realistic. But it sounds like you may have already dismantled it? 🙁

moonlightcottageASMR

Yes I did, I have a lot of projects waiting! But if I do another sci-fi (probably not before 2024), I think I will want to try something else :)

Anna

This is so cool to see! Thank you for sharing this with us!

Brooke Borovina

This was a phenomenal video and the reason I had to subscribe to your patreon!

Indoora World 🍂 The Cottage Library

Oh wow! I am in awe! I am not surprised though, because I think there's nothing impossible for you! Once you get the idea, you make it happen! Absolutely wonderful! I was two weeks without proper internet and couldn't watch the video yet, but I know I will love it, I always do!!

I know this is a late post but I just adore your work and what you put into it. In an age where everything is CGI and solely based on that you go against the grain and show us what can be done with love and caring. Seeing you do all your own work and putting so much time into it is like Brooke says above, another reason to join such an amazing creators page. This takes me back a little to a series when I was young called Thunderbirds which you may have heard of. It was first aired in the 1960's in the UK and was all done with models and love and some great explosions to go as well. It was done with marionettes rather than real actors. Brilliant creativity plus a bit of destruction but a gripping watch and still is. Thanks Diane🧡x

Your level of creativity, building knowledge and commitment are amazing! You’re obviously an artist but how did you acquire your set design and construction knowledge? I know - a new production of you quietly explaining your artistic background with visual aids and tingle triggers might be a perfect video addition in your future! Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us!
